((Haven't seen a villain RP topic anywhere, so I figured I'd give it a shot. My villains have more interesting stories, too.))

*BANG*

*clink*

That was all that was heard as Egoclapper fired one .50cal sniper round into the head of Vinnie Tulo, a Family boss.

"Heh, that'll show them not to stiff Arachnos," Egoclapper muttered.

He'd been working as a mercenary for Arachnos for sometime now, just doing whatever he can to survive. He feels no remorse for any of his actions, cares for no one but himself...a true villain. He was originally known as Seamus, but his increasing notoriety led to his current name.

Arachnos paid him well for each task, and so long as they still offered him work, he'd keep working for them.

*ring ring ring*

"...yeah?"

"Seamus? This is Kalinda."

"You know better than to call me by that name."

"As if anyone can hear this. Listen, it seems as if one of our supply convoys was ambushed by some no-name hero. W..."

*schk-chk*

"Say no more."

((OOC)): This might be one of those RPs that just lets you do anything you want, and you have the chance to bump in to another person.

Meaning, you could be solo for a while, or end up teamed the whole time. I'm also guessing he wants us to assume the regular rules. No god-moding, taking control of other players, ect., ect...

"...I really hope you can pull this one off, he knows to much is the scene good?"

Bzzt! "The convoy was destroyed as plan and imitation message sent to Kalinda. Process bill?"

"... yes yes XD-101, your programmer has proven his worth to Arachnos plenty of times, may I talk to.. Circuit?"

"Statement: No, access denied, Circuit must keep identity secret. Circuit leave note that you must understand issue, Circuit wanted by many. I am sorry client but the target has arrived."

The robot with its glowing one eye started to crutch and performed a leap to the next building. Its arm opening and modifying to a weapon with a large opening pointing at the blazing scene bellow. "Scanners activated."

((OOC)): I so rock... ^_^ Except when it comes to spelling. I just realized I spelled 'wanty' instead of the intended 'want.'

((/end OOC)):

The dust slowly began to settle as the sun begun to rise. Ash, dust and smoke were all that remained of a building that had once stood proud and tall. However, this was normal. Not a normal part of life, but the use of fire to the gang known as hellions in the accursed land known as Mercy Island. It was almost as if that rock of an island was meant to be beaten to death by it’s inhabitants.

Hellions… Wherever did they receive this name, anyway? It’s monotonous ring, let alone the incredible amount of unoriginality with the name just screamed the gang’s impending doom for their future.

‘Tis exactly what happened…

The frail body of a badly wounded thug flew out from the cloud of dust. His arms flailed wildly as it soared though the air, like a plate of leftover dinner from the previous month. He screamed wildly before the sudden eerie silence of the projectile receiving his intended destination.

Er… Forgive me, that’s somewhat of a lie.

He screamed wildly before smacking the series of garbage cans, adding to the choir of moans of all that was left of the petty gang.

Two figures immerged from the dust. One, a tall, powerful figure roughly almost a six and a half feet tall, had on a series of sewn leathers part of a set known as ‘Sinister;’ a particularly popular style with the Rogue Isle’s FACE. (The counter part to the hero’s own chain of Super Heroic clothing, ICON)

This man sported a full black uniform, without the pads that normally completed the set. The Sinister pattern was set in a deep red, keeping him dark without overpowering the outfit. He had no mask, but his almost as dark complexion would sometimes make you think otherwise.

He was also bald, but had a goatee. He looked deep in thought, his eyes dead serious as he gazed directly in front of him. But his eyes… His ghastly eyes… They were white. Not completely white, but his iris was white as fresh snow on the first day of winter. He was also well muscled without seeming too large or drugged.

Oh, the second figure. Roughly six feet, skinnier and had a laid back look about him. And he was ashen. His skin, I mean. He had a mask covering everything except his mouth and his eyes, which were supernaturally colorless. He seemed to always be smiling, as well. Not a malicious grin fueled by greed or revenge or the like, but a happy, regular, somewhat dreamy smile.

He also seemed a bit happier to support tights. (Also completely black) What was scrupulous about this man was a dark purple patter only on his chest. He had a black belt with a purple oval buckle, and a large dark purple outline of an eye as a chest symbal. His hair was in a fury, black with more purple highlights.

Over all, these two didn’t exactly look like duo you would normally expect. But in reality, they needed each other more then anything else life had to offer.

“That was fun!” The tights wearing man said aloud with enthusiasm. “What’s next?” He retorted to himself while turning to the man next to him, speaking not a word more then necessary.

The man did not reply, continuing to gaze steadily in to the air in front of him.

The Enthusiastic man nodded. “We best hurry then… Don’t want Arachnos to be followin’ us.”

The black man also nodded and turned to a projected destination of the ferry. From there, he began to walk in a fixed line. His partner held up a second to think and smile once more before taking a step to follow the apparent leader.

With haste, he quickly caught up where they both marched together, side by side, the unlikely duo of the day. It mattered not how long… It really only mattered how they got there. It would be difficult journey indeed, as their destination was Sharkhead, the place of death, low pay and hard labor.

Sharkhead Isle, the land of a thousand crushed dreams…

"'Fraid your worries are unnecessary." A cocky voice sounded, the source being a white-haired youth in a trench coat and rocket boots standing atop a building, a half-dozen mechines in tow.

"'Cause Arachnos has already caught up. Figures you two'd decide to hang out in this gutter." He raised his hands up in a sweeping gesture, indicating the whole of Mercy Island.

"Anyway, you two gonna come quietly? I'd hate to waste effort capturing you by force."

Whatever it was Jake was attempting to do, it didn’t seem to work. It seems the two figures were too busy walking to their predetermined location. It’s not like they were ignoring him, but come on… All of those thugs moaning, the slight crackle of the flames still held in the remainder of the building scraps…

It was somewhat unlikely to hear Jake ramble… To himself, apparently.

The teen's eye twitched as the two walked along their merry way, not paying so much as a second of attention to him.

"Hey!" He shouted, pointing in their direction menacingly. "I'm talking to you!" His cry echoed across the small neighborhood they were currently in, his voice carrying to many uninvolved and unimportant ears.

The skinny, tights wearing man cringed before whirling his head and body to what ruckus has come about. His grin slowly turned to a frown of disgust/disappointment. The black, bald man had continued to walk for a moment, stopping only a few feet farther down, waiting but a second before turning toward the supposed direction of the sound.

-Doesn’t look familiar…- The black man said to the other through projected thoughts.

-Doesn’t matter... I think he’s with Arachnos.- The younger man replied with a droning inner voice. -I’ll check, be prepared to run.-

The man in tights walked slowly, stepping around the debris and ash littered along the path toward the soon-to-be enemy. He looked up with his pale white eyes, searching the man and his arsenal of automatons for items to be wary.

“I go by Psoinic Siren.” The man said, projecting his regular, enthusiastic voice to the man above. “State your name and come down. We can discuss your intrusion somewhere less… Public.”

He spoke of the Island around him. It’s inhabitants were poking their heads out of windows, through doors, around buildings, houses and other stray debris among the surrounding area. Children watched with fear behind their makeshift living spaces, and thugs were just now able to sit up slightly. If not, at least focus their attention on the conversation.

Residents of said Island could spread information with haste through such a small community. Word would travel quickly, and whatever was to come of this would likely be posted on the next day’s news.

Siren moved his hand forward in a sweeping movement, motioning to come along. The black man stood farther back, watching the event unfold with his still, unshifting gaze. He dared not move closer, his body as still as he could allow. No movement, just a gaze that could pierce an army’s stone will.

“Well now. How ‘bout it?”

I treaded onward, clad in menacing blue spiked armor, towards the exact coordinates I was given. As I came nearer to the site, I noticed something amiss. There was smoke and flames rising from the convoy ship, it had been totally destroyed.

"What in the...."

No hero would do such a thing. This much I know. At the most, they would have taken all onboard into custody, not commit murder and arson. That's my job. As I surveyed the scene, I noticed a familiar cape trailing from someone fleeing the scene.

"Neurotic."

Neurotic was an old ally of mine, but one day Neurotic went off the deep end and started living up to his name. He didn't know anyone anymore, just kept to himself and ran around randomly smashing things and killing people.

"But....wait a minute. Me and Arachnos were the only one who knew of this shipment, let alone where it was."

As I said this to myself, I heard steps behind me. I drew my gun and wheeled around to face the man behind approaching.

"Ygnacio....it's been awhile."

Ygnacio Larwin. A criminal mastermind who has been behind some of the biggest crime waves in Paragon City. He's so good with it that they've never been able to find enough evidence to pin anything on him. They know he's done it, they just can't prove it. He's essentially untouchable. Oddly enough, no one knows a thing about him, who he really his, or where he came from. He just appeared in Sharkhead Isle one day and set up shop, so to speak.

"Too long. What's this you're going on about?"

"Neurotic waylayed an Arachnos supply convoy."

"Arachnos? I thought he at least knew better than that."

"You'd think so. Let's get in there and see if we can't find this hero's body."

We enter what's left of the ship and begin to investigate.

"I'm not seeing a thing except dead Arachnos," I mused.

"Yeah, this looks bad. Real bad. We need to leave, now."

"Good idea."

With this, we left the scene as quickly as we could. Something bigger is at work here, and we need to find out what.

The scope zoomed in and pictures were taken of the two before they left. The hum of the laser barrel started, *WARNING! Supporter in cross-fire!* The humming stopped and a file of the man named Ygnacio Larwin popped up with a total support of over 6 figures.

"XD-101, stop make sure supporter is away from target to make the kill. The antennae shot up receiving the message from base.

"Roger master, persueing target." The body shoke and then disassembled itself into its disk shaped head which floated. The eye swerved around the perimeter of the disk and the compact assassin moved.

Inside a building somewhere in the Isles

A tall man stood behind a bar arranging drinks before him. A small book on bartending lay open next to the first of the drinks. The man, wearing black slacks, a white dress shirt with silver tie and sleevless vest in white trim, seemed to be teaching himself to mix drinks. His long black hair fell to his shoulders, broken only by the tips of his pointed ears.

A quick beep followed by two more quick beeps broke his concentration. He slid his hand into his vest and pulled out a small cell phone. Checking the caller ID he answered, "Than, Speak."
"Marshall Brass, yes I've done work for him before."
"I see."
"What equipment do you need?"
"no, take Shadow with you"
"because I said so"
"give a report when you are done"
"right, good luck. Than out." and with that he closed the phone and slid it back into his vest pocket. Turning back to he drinks he continued to practice making them.

=======================================

On the docks in Port Oaks

Three figures stood upon the docks near the ferry. One was a simple Arachnos warrior, decked out in traditional armor. The other two were nearly stark opposites. The one on a cell phone was average height with bright silver hair. His silver sunglasses hid his eyes from the setting sun. A white sleeveless leather trenchcoat covered blue jeans and a black t-shirt. The shirt bore a red pentacle on the chest. The other fellow was tall and heavily muscled. His skin was coal black. A top knot of pure white hair rose from his otherwise perfectly bald head. A pair of darker sunglasses rested on pointed ears. He wore black jeans and a dark blue t-shirt under a sleevless leather motorcycle jacket. The t-shirt proclaimed in bold print, "I AM NOT A DROW".

The one on the phone ended his conversation and turned to the Arachnos operative. Lighting a cigarette he blew the smoke in the operative's face, "the old man says yes, so tell Brass that myself and one other will be to see him. Oh, and tell him not to panic at the sight of my...ally. I can keep him controlled."

The operative nodded and hurried off to pass on the message. The dark skinned man turned towards the other, "he thinks that helmet protects his thoughts. The gullible simpleton. So Thannatos actually agreed to help these fools?"

Silver Shade nodded, "yeah and he wants me to take Shadow with me." He dropped his now finished smoke into the water. Turning back to his friend and ally Psi Shadow, he sighed. Psi laughed softly, "good thing that freak likes you." Silver's grimace only caused Psi to laugh harder. Waiting for his friend to finish laughing, Silver lit another smoke. Finally containing his humor, Psi turned to his friend, "Well, I wish you the best of luck. Where did you leave that one at any way."

Silver took a long drag from his cigarette and nodded up the hill, "where else, the Arena"

Jake hopped down from his perch, activating his boots to cushion his landing and keep him upright as he collided with the ground. He took a moment to brush the dirt off of his trench coat before meeting Siren's gaze. "Whatever you say. Just know I can have a little under an army at my location with the press of a button, so any funny business won't be met with welcome."

This was, of course, an exagerration, if not an outright bluff. However, the two villains had no way to come to that conclusion.

"In any case, lead the way. Where would you suggest?"

Siren was fairly taken aback by the boy’s appearance. The sallow hair first came to mind. It seemed dyed, but he could make no remark due to partially having done the same. Siren averted his eyes to the earth next the Teen, marking that he was deep in thought on a supposed destination.

-That was easier then expected…- Siren projected to his ally.

-Don’t be expectin’ good things. We don’t know him. - He answered in a low, rough inner voice.

-Hmm… Then he shouldn’t be with Arachnos… You sure you haven’t seen him?-

The black man came in for closer analysis, confirming to Jake the man’s alias as ‘Midnight Brawl.’ He stood for a moment to focus on the young man, squinting slightly within the dusty atmosphere.

-Nope. Don’t remember him.- Was the swift, earnest reply.

-I hope that doesn’t backfire on us.- Siren thought quickly, returning his eyes to the youth. “Will Port Oaks suit you?” He queried, tilting his head slightly in a questioning manner.

Mortanis watched the vid-screens that were projected on many of the Rouge Isles. Today he was focused on the ones at Mercy, placed at secret locations, searching for some activity to warrant some sort of a response. It's been getting rather dull around here. Hello, what's this? Mortanis zoomed in on camera two, focusing on a strange group of three small time villains.

Mortanis smiled. Who knows? These might be worth my time. Heists or ransom, or maybe a bounty. Young gifted are always easier to catch, and any gifted are worth a hefty sum of money for those who are willing to pay. Mainly Arachnos, Longbow, or that Aeon doc. Mortanis arose from his chair, turned, and walked into the destination sector of his headquarters. Taking a left, he made his way to a room with several large arches, each with a small panel at the zenith. He found the one that led to Mercy and activated the gateway. after several seconds the arch whirled to life, dark black and purple sparks erupting from the empty air in the center. The still air begin to rush as a doorway appeared, a dark tunnel that would transport him to his destination. He stepped through...

...and appeared in a back alley in Mercy Island out of thin air. Mortanis brushed himself down and made his way to the ferry that docked at the harbor which would take his objectives unto Port Oakes. He leaned against the front of the barge and waited.
After all, I have all the time in the world...

Jake wasn't stupid. He could tell that he was being judged, and possibly even discussed. Honestly, he didn't care, his youthful arrogance ensuring him that he would win if it came down to a contest of strength.

"Port Oakes is fine." He stated, his robots leaping off of the building and next to him even as he called them down. "I hope you don't mind my friends coming along."

Posted

Siren scowled in such a conspicuous manner, you would instantly believe of him having a severe mood swing. He reflected about himself for the moment, glancing over the robots design. Obvious notable threats were perceived within the man’s mind, obviously having a problem deciding how to surmount the next milestone in his slowly unraveling plan.

-The kid is good…- He relayed to his ally, recognizing just how… Basically put, evil the latest individual could be.

“Two conditions…” He spoke with zeal, hard to come by in the recent days of this generation. “First,” He began, moving his hand toward the un-biological monstrosities. “simply put, boot the smaller ones.”

He allowed himself to focus on what, he supposed, were the Battle Drones.

“Second,” He continued, switching his attention to the eyes of the youth. “Keep them out of sight. They are an eyesore to the public… And generally me, for that matter.”

Jake smirked, looking the villain in the eye. "Sorry, that was meant to be rhetorical. Shall we get going?" He cockily began walking toward the ferry, all six of his minions following behind him.

"Well, aren't you coming?" He shouted back to them after getting about ten feet away from the two. "Weren't you the guys who wanted to go to another place in the first place?" He chuckled, his amusement at himself obvious.

Posted

Mortanis was slowly going over the faces of every person that approached the ferry, studying them for any recognizable features. He stood up straight when he saw the young man with some robotic comrades turn and shout something to the other two that were on the feed from his cameras. This young one is defiantly full of himself. Too confidant, and not able to see past his own ego. This will be too easy. Mortanis began to walk slowly and surely towards the three gifted and six robots.

Svagthose, if you can here me on the other side, I may need to call you within a short amount of time. Get the rest of those undead ready.

Understood, Master.

He stopped about twenty paces from them and spoke towards the one that the robots crowded around.

"If I were you, I'd stop treating your youthful existence as a game and grow up. The world is no place for one as unskilled and cocky as you."

"Save the lecture." He replied back to Mortanis, not bothering to turn away from the first two villains. "I've heard it all before. From other villains, heroes, my superiors, you name it. But do you see me dead?" He finally turned to the man, sliding his blast goggles over his eyes and scanning his face, thereby learning his name.

Mortanis, huh? Never heard of him.

"There answer's no, if you hadn't figured it out." He continued, the gestures his hands were moving in spelling out his superiority complex. "I can back up what I boast, which is more than what most can say."

The young villain's irritating confidence made Mortanis's long pointed ears twitch. He spoke with a wry smile, his sharp teeth gleaming in the sun. His solid yellow eyes stood out from the thin slits if his pupils.

"Obviously someone hasn't tried hard enough, or has acted in the manner that you present yourself. Enough of this, you and your comrades may be of use to me. I have a job that requires more hands than I can spare, and I'm looking to hire some new blood. The pay is negotiable, the time adequate, and if done right, there will be no trail for others to follow. Are you in?"

As Hunter Rakeram exited a bank, the sound of ringing was heard all over Nerva Archipelago. Smoke cleared, and suddenly the red-masked man with a Yakuza type tatoo pattern and simple black cargo pants with motorcyclist boots flew out of the area, holding a pistol in each hand. This was Hunter Rakeram himself. His cellphone then rang, and, while flying, he awnsered it.
"Yeah?"
"It is Demirtri."
"What's up, Kry?"
"I have a job for you."
"Talk about it."
"I need you to defeat a Longbow agent by the name of Redthorn. She is a general. She has controls of plants, so be care-"
"I don't have to be careful with Longbow. I am allready #11 on the wanted list. Infact, the more I do with Longbow, the better. I want to be famous outta' being the Most Wanted on their list. All I need is the location."
"Alright... southeast of I in a dark, boarded up warehouse."
"Any coordinates wiseguy?"
"325.221."
"I'm on it... but hey, do you got any of those telportation devices?"
"No, you will have to wal-"
"I don't walk, I fly. Anyway, I am goin'."
Krylov then sighed, and returned to his checkbook. Minutes later, more sirens could be heard throught the Isles.
