He was great to work with. As I sat there fidgeting, trying not to send him an email every 5 minutes, he graciously sent "in progress" pictures as the figure progressed. He gave me a choice of sculpted or real hair. He asked a few questions about the costume and pose. At the end, I thought the color was a bit off, and he carefully re-painted her. When she arrived, I was surprised how carefully he had packed her. I felt like an archeologist unwrapping a rare antiquity.
I can't say enough good things about him. I'm really happy with how well everything turned out.

I just sent this thread and the DA link to my husband. He is now very intrigued by this (to get one of his own lol). and I am very intrigued by the medium that this guy works in (Polymer Clay for some of his stuff) and would like to get my grubby little paws on some to try my hand at it.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.
Very nice, but I'm not fond of the proportions. The heads are all so big!

Pretty cool. Looks like a Heroclix. You have a pretty easy costume design/color scheme, would be easy to do a custom heroclix. Just get a figure, repaint it, and find a heroclix with same power set/level ring and piece it together.

After I saw the eBay frenzy for the female Master Chief, I checked out the work of David on his DeviantArt page. Then I knew no mere artwork would do; I needed a figure of my favorite character.
I talked with David, and he wanted a pose. I agonized over in-game poses, looked at lots of comic book covers, and finally gave him a few ideas. I wanted my character to be grabbing the cape. He said he knew what to do.
And here's what he did.
