Some notes to keep in mind:

-This is a 'What You Can Slot Where' Guide, not a 'You Should Slot This Way' Guide. I will note if something is not recommended, but as always, it is Your Choice.

-If you have any Questions, Suggestions, etc, post them.. but ONLY post your actual experience, not "I hear that ..."

-Please - keep the slotting debates to a minimum. This is not the place. If it *CAN* be slotted, even to minor effect, it can be on the list.

Now, on to the List:

Uplink_OoT did a great job a while back, compiling a list of Hamidon Enhancements. What I'd like to do is put together a list of which powers the more 'Exotic' HO's can help. I want to be able to tell people "'X' HO affects these powers ...". Help fill in the list with whatever you can.

Easy ones:
Nucleolus Exposure - Damage and Accuracy:
-Too many to list. If you don’t know what can use this, you shouldn’t have bought the account. :-)

Centriole Exposure - Damage and Range:
-See above. (Note - the range portion of some melee attacks cannot be increased, even though they may affect a larger than normal range. Be sure the power normally accepts Range + Damage enhancements before slotting this)

Ribosome Exposure - Increase Damage Resistance and Endurance Reduction:

-Scrapper – Super Reflexes – Elude – Not optimal slotting, but can use this.
-Warshade Primary - Umbral Blast - Dark Nova (Probably not worth slotting Fly)

-There is a Debate as to whether you should slot these into Fitness -> Swift or Scrapper-> Super Reflexes-> Quickness. If you use Fly, you might benefit from Slotting these here, as they can serve as both Run Speed AND Fly Speed enhancers.

Golgi Exposure - Heal and Endurance Reduction:
-Anyone with a Medicine power pool Heal,
-Anyone with a 'heal self' power (Tanks/scrappers, PB, WS)
-Defenders/Controllers with a Heal power (Radiant aura, Twilight grasp, etc.)
-APP – Controller – Stone Mastery - Earth's Embrace
-Peacebringer - Glowing Touch, Essence Boost, Reform Essence
-Peacebringer - Luminous Aura - White Dwarf - White Dwarf Sublimation
-Scrapper Dark Melee/Dark Armor - Dark Regeneration, Siphon Life
-Scrapper – Regen – Reconstruction, Dull Pain, Integration, Instant Healing
-Tank – Ice Armor – Hoarfrost

These next few can be tricky, and are the ones that need the most 'help'. Some might be GREAT for a few powers, but helpful in some that share two of the aspects of the HO. These are the ones MOST in use of some definition.


Lysosome Exposure - Increase ToHit and Defense Debuffs, and Increases Accuracy:
-APP - Scrapper - Body Mastery - Laser Beam Eyes
-APP – Scrapper – Darkness Mastery - Torrent, Dark Blast, Tenebrous Tentacles
-APP - Tanker - Energy Mastery - Laser Beam Eyes
-Blaster - Devices - Smoke Grenade – Acc + To Hit Debuff
-Blaster – Assault Rifle – Burst - can use the Acc + Def Debuff Portions
-Controller - Earth Control – Earthquake - can use the ToHit + Def Debuff Portions (Some say this is not ‘optimal slotting’ – that’s for you to decide.)
-Controller - Fire Control – Smoke
-Controller - Mind Control – Terrify
-Defender - Dark - Twilight Grasp, Fearsome Stare and Dark Servant (acc + To hit Debuff)
-Defender - Dark Blast – All powers except Dark Pit – Accuracy + Tohit Debuff
-Defender - Radiation Blast - Neutrino Bolt, X-ray Beam, Irradiate, Electron Haze, Proton Volley, Cosmic Burst, Neutron Bomb, Atomic Blast
-Defender/Controller - Radiation Emission - Radiation Infection (uses 2 of 3)
-Defender/Controller – Sonic - Liquefy
-Defender/Control - Storm - Freezing rain - ACC and foe –DEF
-Defender/Controller - Trick Arrow - Flash Arrow - tohit debuff, accuracy
-Defender/Controller - Trick Arrow - Acid Arrow - defense debuff, accuracy
-Peacebringer - Luminous Blast – Gleaming Bolt, Glinting Eye, Gleaming Blast, Radiant Strike, Proton Scatter, Luminous Detonation, Incandescent Strike, Solar Flare, Photon Seekers, Dawn Strike, Nova/Dwarf Inherent attacks (Def Debuff is not large, but if you are slotting for Accuracy, you can use this in its place for some additional benefit)
-Scrapper - Broadsword – All attacks except Parry - can use the Acc + Def Debuff Portions (Note - even Parry can use it, until they decide to fix the Buff/Debuff Enhancement issue)
-Scrapper – Dark Melee – Nearly all attacks can use +ACC and foe –ACC
-Scrapper Dark Melee/Dark Armor - Cloak of Fear (Though Endoplasm and Enzymes are the preferred options)
-Scrapper - Katana – Sting of the Wasp, Gambler's Cut, Flashing Steel, The Lotus Drops, Soaring Dragon, Golden Dragonfly - can use the Acc + Def Debuff Portions


Enzyme Exposure - Increase ToHit and Defense Debuffs, and Endurance Reduction:

Good reference, but I thought ... aren't HOs bugged/coded in such a way that tohit/def buff enhancers and tohit/def debuff enhancers are interchangeable? So that, for instance, you can put a Cytoskeleton into Radiation Infection on the basis of it taking endurance reducers and then the "buff" effect actually enhances the debuffs of the powers? Or did that get fixed? Or did I get that whole thing wrong?

Your Point?

Some are set up that way, and posted in the guide that they work - but I want to have the guide mostly set so that people don't have to respec out of things later when/if that gets fixed. I consider it a bug, and knowingly using a Bug to your benefit isn't something I want in a Guide.

Well my point is, your guide is not as useful as it could have been. It doesn't reflect what actually works, even with disclaimers that they may change sometime. (Though you DID make a comment like that about Lysosomes and Parry, so right there you're not being consistent with it.)

My impression from what the devs have said is changing those results is pretty impossible without recoding the whole engine so I don't think it's a bug in the usual sense of having an expectation to change soon. There are a few things in there that folks might not think of - for instance Microfilament in Swift boosting both Run and Fly speed - but beyond that, most things are pretty straightforward. I appreciate you put a lot of work into this, but I think it could be better.

But while a Cyto only does a 20% defense adjustment, the Enzyme does a 33.3% defense adjustment (I think both do 33.3% ToHit adjustments). I’m not sure if the game mechanics allow for the full 33.3% defense, but it’s definitely better than a Cyto.

There are quite a few powers that display a slow boost in error; I can't remember off the top of my head if the accuracy or the recharge enhancement value gets copied into slow as well. That aside though, if Microfilament DID affect speed debuffs (and following this logic it should) you could put it in powers like Lingering Radiation, Tar Patch; or almost any gravity hold as they all have a slow effect -- Crushing Field would benefit from it especially. I've got a micro I haven't slotted. If I have time, I'll copy to test and experiment.

My WS shows lots of slow enhancement in the tool tips that should be recharge. Since it does not display recharge at all, I'm assuming this is a text error, not an actual enhancement of slows. It could be though, I haven't tested.

A Micro would work in sprint; it wouldn't reduce end but it would give a buff to both run and fly. However, it'd be a small one because sprint doesn't give a very big boost in the first place.

I went on test and removed a recharge SO from Lingering Radiation. Currently, the recharge amount lists itself as a Slow %. I put in the microfilament and the old Slow % went down, but new entries that also listed Slow 33% appeared.

I then did the same thing with Crushing Field; I had 2 accuracy and 1 endurance reduction SO. I replaced an accuracy with a Micro and the new screen indicated that it would get another +33% end reduction; -33% accuracy; and +33% Slow and +33% Slow and +33% Slow (maybe 3 entries for run/fly/jump?).

Doing some simple observations - basically kiting a Warhulk around the parking lot next to the PI ferry - it looked like it did increase the slow effect of those two powers by a noticeable amount. Someone else should do some testing to be sure but ... based on this, I think a Microfilament is usable in all 4 of Gravity Control's holds and immobilizes; Radiation's Lingering Radiation and probably accelerate metabolism (though again, a run/fly speed buff there is pretty minimal); and Dark Miasma's Tar Patch.

You mean swift, not sprint. It is usable in Sprint too, of course, but that gives a +run and +jump buff while also reducing end cost.

If those powers accept +Heal and +End Red, then I'd list them. Please, pleople ... stop listing 'guesses' and 'I hear that...'. It's really not useful.

Since WHEN is this true? Damage Enhancers of ALL typpes would be used that way, then. Ribo's would work in those shields, but there is NO way I'm adding this information.

I have received no confirmation. I know that Mez enhancers do not affect Slows. It's possible that the Movement enhancers do, but I'm not adding them without testing. Siphon speed is accurate - it can use both Run Speen enhancers and End reducers, so can use both effects. Whether it boosts the Slow effects I can't say.

I've heard it's true also, but 'Hearing' something is not 'Testing' it. There's no way of knowing whether those people who 'feel' it's true are correct.

I understand if you feel these are cheats and don't want to include them, but they do work. IF you could add a Damage enhancement to a shield, you'd get the same results. The HO's work because the Range portion is an acceptable SO for them.

Siphon Speed does not accept Run Speed enhancements (despite what Sherk's hero builder may say). It only accepts Acc, EndRdx, Recharge, Range, and Slow. Your list implies it works as a slow, but as you say, "'Hearing' something is not 'Testing' it."

Tested it yesterday and it's true, but I would think that you'd see this as an exploit since it's not supposed to accept recharge enhancements.

It may be a side benefit - but Vengeance still uses the other portions of the HO, so it gets listed.

Maybe I'll let this thread die, and start a new thread without all this ungrateful yammering in it.
