  1. Anyone know what power Powerthrust is using?

Great guide. It's just kinda jarring to see you end it with a question you answered in the beginning.

    Specifically:

[ QUOTE ][*]Sheesh, look at how many friends you got! Why do you need to two-box again?

    [/ QUOTE ]

...because some days you just can't face another PUG. You might do it because it's nice to have a group that always goes at the pace you prefer.

I believe he was referring to the five friends he'd just listed in the previous bullet points.

Both of these have been reported as Pool B, however, I just ran the Caverns Trial twice and I got:

    Induced Coma: Sleep/Range
    Commanding Presence: Acc/End

    [/ QUOTE ]
Hmm that's a little weird that two recipes reported as B have turned up as rewards for the Cavern Trial. However the Cavern Trial rewards seem a little weird anyway at the moment - a lot of people seem to be getting level 30 recipes when they are auto-exemped down (remember the cavern trial auto-exemps to 15 - so 30 is a really weird level to be rewarding at). Were the recipes you got level 30 too?

As I understand it the game first picks randomly from a mini-pool (a five-level range of one the of six big pools (counting Pool A three times)) to decide which IO to grant. It then gives that IO a level. All the IOs people have said they've received from CoT are from sets that cap at level 30.

    EDIT: Found the link.
  4. Mot is also mentioned in scanner missions as the carthagian god of death and sterility.

lets put it one more way: anyone without stealth - what do they do to complete missions? they have to grind through the mission, regardless of what type it is. they might get past a few mobs here and there, but mostly they have to fight through it. stealth and invis already bypass this.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not totally true. On both my tanks and scrappers I very often bull through missions, ignoring all mobs until I reach the final room. Stealth is not essential when you have defenses and can just brush off the trivial amount of damage you get from the passing mobs.

I would never try this with a non-stealthed squishy, but the point is that not *all* non-stealthed types have to grind through missions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed, it is quite possible to "ghost" most missions with any toon with just hurdle+cj. Having actual travel powers just makes it very easy.

With a stealth/invis power it is more just a luxury that allows you to stop at more or less any point, rather than going full-tilt to the final room.

I've written up a ParagonWiki page on the subject of Influence transfers. How they can potentially be intercepted, and proposed strategies for avoiding interception. All totally speculative at this point, but it gives a starting point, and tries to be a summary of the hazards, pitfalls, and possible solutions for making this work. Any comments/updates either here or on the wiki are welcome.

    I'm on ParagonWiki!

Hmmm... trying to understand... how would you reasonably grief/intercept me if I did this:

    1. Rich toon on ServerA makes bids on Level 5 ToHitDebuff TOs offering 10 influence each until they're all bought out (at that low price). So, there are no more Level 5 ToHitDebuffs in WWs that are 10 inf or less.

    2. Switch to poor toon on ServerB and flood WW's with 10 Level 5 ToHitDebuffs for the asking price of 1 inf* each. Wait and see if anyone's going to buy and resell in order to intercept**. If I get no buys in 10 minutes, then...

    3. Switch to rich toon on ServerA and put in three buy orders for Level 5 ToHitDebuffs for 2 inf each.

    4. Switch to poor toon and see if I just sold three Level 5 ToHitDebuffs. If yes...

    5. Switch to rich toon and put in a buy order for a Level 5 ToHitDebuff for 10 million inf. Since I had seven Level 5 ToHitDebuffs in WWs queue, all at the lowest possible price, no one can sneak another Level 5 ToHitDebuff ahead of me. If someone were to use the buy and resell intercept method, they'd have to know to do it at least seven times in a row in order to intercept. And if they are online and buying up all sorts of lowballed TOs, see**.

*(Adjust the 1 influence to minimum order amount.)

**(And if there are interceptors online, I'll just screw around with them by continually dumping all types of Level 5 enhancements on the market with multiple toons making them mad.)

Of course, this is what I'd do if I had just one account. As it is, I'll dual-box it my two accounts and instantly buy with one toon what the other is selling. So, go ahead with the global ID block.

    [/ QUOTE ]
This is the best solution I've seen so far. Here's an alternative I thought up before I'd read that far:

Step 1. Find an item noone else is selling.
Step 2. Offer to sell it at a random value slightly higher than what it's valued to. For an item valued at 10K inf, offer it for 10,632 inf.
Step 3. Examine the last 10 transactions and remember what it said.
    Step 4. Swap characters.
Step 5. Examine the last 10 transactions to make sure noone's bought your item.
Step 6. Put in a buy order for 10,631 inf.
Step 7. Buy the item for 5M inf.
  8. TPFoe is also handy for getting mobs down from roof tops in the levels before you get a travel power.
Especially the clockwork in Steel Canyon.

    * There are different pools every 5 levels, to conicide with the recipes that are available at those levels.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It would help a great deal if the pools were COMPLETELY different every 5 levels. No specific IO would be in the same pool two tiers in a row. L50s could then get an IO from level 41-45, 46-50, or 51-53.

  10. Presumably a Golgi would enhance the heal of Spectral Wounds and Phantom Army (although that wouldn't be very useful).
  11. It might be worth mentioning that under ED, a level 50 character with three level 50 HOs will gain a 94.93% boost to two or three effects, while only getting a 97.23275% boost to one effect from three level 53 SOs.
