The Alt Alphabet
Words fail me, Never have I seen an alphabet of alts nor that many bios for characters that will most likely never rise up and be above level 10 or 20
Referring to your own toons or ours?
Most of mine are at least level 12, though thats often where I cap out on characters that go slowly or are not as fun as some others. Ain't nothing wrong with having level 5's and level 8's in there, that's what, 3 or maybe 4 hours of play.
Come on, we've got 88-144 chances to show off. Enjoy.

I still plan on demorecording all of my characters and their costumes and doing a demo edit to get great screenshots of all their costumes. I plan on creating a character or two just to use as examples of height and size to place nearby enough in some scenes to show the size of my characters since there is no wall with heights marked for a nice mugshot. Since I'm at 112 characters with one that's going to be replaced (once I move all his Halloween Salvage to another character), it's going to require a lot if work. I've set up a Photobucket account for myself for this purpose until I can create my own personal website. I still need to get the hang of these demos though.
I think -- think -- that somewhere in the city there exists one of those height charts by a doorway, like you see in convenience stores. I can't recall where, or if I'm just imagining it or not. Might actually be in one of the stores.
Other than that, there's also the red-and-white antennae in various places. Standing near that should give a fair approximation of height. (I thought about using that for MC, but decided to stick him on the statue's hand in Perez so he was distinct from the background; the wings kept blending in to other stuff.)

I'll have to look around now and check things out.

We could ask what height certain Signature heroes/villains are and then stand next to them in their various locations to determine our own height.
dude altitis ain't bad if yer havin fun..heck same here got the bug but i still managed to get one to 50 heh heh
What better way to celebrate post #5678 than to show off my latest alt? (I can quit making them any time. Yes I can, too.)
This resurrects a name I had way back in CoH's beta nearly 3 years ago. I've always liked it but never thought it really fit any of the CoH powersets. So I figured I'd give her a go over in CoV. I decided on Rad/Rad Corruptor just to try the powers out, but the greens didn't work with the name. (Oh yes, this is a very complicated process.) So I went with colors I don't even know the names of. Fuchsia, maybe? Screamingly Loud Tealish Blue? Whatever.
And, amazingly, I even made myself laugh while writing her bio, which never happens. I was channelling the girls I've been watching on Beauty & the Geek. (Which you should catch sometime -- it's unbelievable that these people exist. One girl actually said, I swear, "When people are talking, I stop listening and wonder 'What do they think of me? I'll bet they think I'm awesome.'" She was eliminated early.)
Okay, without further ado, I give you Ditzkrieg.
Heh.
And as an extra-special bonus, my revamped bio for my token British-themed hero (we all have one, right?): John Bull. And here's the not-as-good original version.

HAHAHAHA Ditzkrieg.....noice!
Okay, my sub is up today, so a couple last posts before I go. I'm pausing because my wife is having double knee replacement surgery on the 12th, so we're going to be busy dealing with that. I don't know when I'll be back, but hopefully not too long from now.
First up is the Alt Alphabet Holiday collection. These are my various charatcers designed around specific holidays. (Okay, that was redundant.) I've left out Sandy Claws because frankly his name bores me. He's soon for the delete pool, I think. (I have a keen idea I'm wanting to try along the lines of Monster Child, but it will require taking a toon from 0 to 45, so it'll have to be later in the year.)
Jackal Lantern -- Didn't create him until after Halloween was over, but he's set up for the next one.
The Love Cherub Cupid -- Did you know Cupid's parents are Venus and Mars? When mom and dad are the personifications of Love and War, you've got assume they're going to have a weird kid. This guy needs the cherub wings for full effect, but these will do for now.
Lucky the Leprechaun -- St. Patrick's Day is bigger at my mom's house than Christmas, New Year's and the 4th of July combined. Something to do with her being Irish, I suppose. For dear old mom, lucky is likewise from her ancestral home, County Galway. Lucky's a bit of a drinker. As me mother says, "I only drink when there's something to celebrate: sun comes up, sun goes down...." Sometimes stereotypes are true for a reason.
Ol' Uncle Sam -- Fervor, thy name is Samuel. I wish the pants were more pinstripe and less baseball, but hey, baseball's as American as apple pie, right? Interesting how holidays and top hats go together.
Yuletide Carol -- And of course, everyone's favorite songbird, Carol. Hmm, seems striped pants are part of holiday tradition, too.

Next up are the anthros and furries. A lot more of these than I thought -- guess things in the character creator got a little wild. Ha! Get it? Ahem. Sorry.
Gloryhound -- He's still a little sketchy, but he's a merchant marine who was experimented on in the Rogue Isles. I just hadn't gotten around to putting that in his bio.
KittyKittyBangBang -- Catgirls are evil.
Kung-Pow Chicken -- The bird is the word. Man, folks LOVE the chicken! I think she's a hoot, but I was surprised by the reaction. Once people wrap their heads around the fact that this is the only time you can really use the huge male body to represent a female character, they really enjoy goofing on the name. There's something about this character that brings out the best -- or worst -- in my sense of humor. I was single-handedly responsible for an 8-man team wipe because, and I quote, "You have us laughing too hard!!" Some people don't get the dirty joke in the bio, but that's okay. As Joel from MST3K once said, "It's okay if not everyone gets it -- the right people will."
Razor Raccoon -- I'm sure there must be some, but I've never seen a raccoon-themed toon yet. Lots of pandas and even a stray teddy bear or two, but no raccoons. I'm telling you, there's something about striped pants that people love. As with Yuletide Carol, literally minutes after logging in to Atlas Park RR won a costume contest.
SonicDeathMunky -- I should reroll him, since we can now have 20 letters. I wonder if anyone gets the reference?
Space-Monkey -- He has his own theme song! This is a Kheldian reroll of my original toon. While I was monkeying about in the character creator, I lost the name. Hence the hyphen. D'oh! Now I only reroll characters 15 minutes before daily maintenance.
Tora Toro -- I love the crazy, wide-open, uneasy multiculturalism of Brazil. All that Native American, Portugese, Spanish and Japanese goodness mixed into one crazy carnivale. So it's only natural a hero from that part of the world represents the fiesty melting pot of Brazil. Tora is "tiger" in Japanese, and Toro is "bull" in Spanish. (It's "touro" in Portugese, but it goes better in Spanish.)
Zibet -- No, civets aren't cats. They're related to the mongoose. Less kitty-kitty-kitty and more Riki Tiki Tavi.
I have a couple others, like the Brute named Tigermech -- half man, half tiger, half cyborg. But I forgot to get screenshots of them. Then there's good ol' Manila Gorilla and Dru's Other Monkey. Manila got himself deleted to make way for a new guy, while Dru's Other Monkey is an in-joke in my SG.
Even though I can't post after today, I an still read the boards, so I hope you guys add some alphabetical screenshots (now with biographies!) of your own for me to peruse in the coming weeks as I play nursemaid to the little woman.
So... this is Ironik, signing off. Toodles!

Still here! Thanks GMs!
So I re-upped last night. No, I didn't make any new characters (I'll do that later today, probably). I did mess about with the flight poses, though. Fun!
I'd guess everyone has probably done this to death, but it's new to me, so...
Three of my guys flying. Top to bottom: Air Force, Gyrfalcon Prime and Photon X. Fwoosh!
Gyrfalcon Prime at Moonrise.

Okay Ironik,
I must say your list is impressive. I was looking for the total number of toons you have created.
I am not tooting my own horn, but I will have to get mine posted here. I have 4 accts, and for sure, I have 64 that are played (thats 8 villians, and 8 heroes on each acct, on Justice and Freedom that are regularily played) This does not include all the other toons created on Virtue, Pinnacle, & other various servers.
I do bow to you with using every letter of the alphabet, I know you beat me there, LOL!!! But if I am not right there with ya, I am close. I will see about posting my toons here for proof. But I salute you and your greatness of Alt-itis!
I am glad I am not alone! LOL!!!
Gotta use the numbers and punctuation next
I'm SO glad that this thread didn't get purged.

Four accounts! Great googlymoogly! I would love to see those. Love.
I counted my alts up at one point and had somewhere just north of 200. That was a while ago, though, so I've probably made somewhere in the neighborhood of 230 or so. (Including beta.) With only one main account and one trial account, that means a lot of deleting the old to make room for the new. I think the highest level I've deleted is probably upper 20s.
The newest alt is The Expressionist. (I keep forgetting and calling him The Impressionist.) To make room for him I deleted the evil doppelganger of Ironik, named Iron Will. He was only level 5 or something and I demorecorded him, so no big loss.

Me, too! Although I did notice that Image Shack deleted a couple entries for some reason. Oh well, I need to make a new list anyway, what with all the new toons in town.
I was also thinking of an all-elf SG. Based in Croatoa or Perez Park, with characters limited to traditional faerie/high fantasy weapons: broadsword, axe, bow, mace.

Thanks!
So I got Monster Child up to 20 last night. (My thanks to the Virtue-ites who ran the Faultline missions with me to get him over the hump. Take that, Nocturne! And your little sub, too!) The sole purpose was to get the second costume slot, of course. MC was designed with the concept of two versions of the same character who are different sizes, like the Hulk or the Wasp.
And it worked! Making max use of the sliders, the demon version of Monster Child (the one whose power Darren has harnessed by allowing it to selectively possess him) is nearly a head taller, even without the horns and wings.
Monster Child: Darren Childe and Vulgara the Demon.
To whichever designer/programmer/dev put the body sliders in: love 'em!
