The Alt Alphabet

I'm going to get to work on my list of alts soon. I'm even thinking of having the character select screen displayed to show relative size, and then the costume editor screens to display all the costumes in detail. More work, but I hope it will be worth it.

Coolness. Can't wait to see it.

I'm thinking of some nice demoedit shots of my various teams and archenemies.....

Actually, I want to find out how to make demoedits of all my characters so that I can basically make an animated image of them and their various costumes that basically rotates the character so as to display it in all it's glory. It would be nice if I can find a location to put them in where the lighting is just right and the background doesn't make the costumes hard to see. Or like in Mantids emote guides where there basically is no background.

The top of the globe in Atlas might work. Since you can force the time of day, you can set it to look exactly how you like.

I'd think the easiest way to do it would be to put a toon atop the globe, then spin the camera around it, ensuring you're close enough to see the details. Then just sub in the other characters as you like.

That's what I did in these two images: Villains and Heavies. Villains close up.

Third time's the charm, right?

Characters with red backgrounds are on Test, and are duplicates of characters that were deleted on Virtue (because I needed to save them someplace)... Servers/Powersets/ATs are listed directly on the image, under each character...Some names are duplicated (I went through a phase), but the characters are unique...Only the Virtue characters really get played, unless I'm really bored, or it's down.

#, A, C, D, and E: 1437, Aidan MacNeil, Akashaline, Auriane, Capraria, Cat Aclysm, CN-, the Daughter of Storms, and Echo Chrome.

G, I, K, and L: The Ghost of Hope, Guardienne, Isawa Tadaka, Kathmandu, Ki'orelle, Kirochka, and Lypiphera.

M (yes, there's a lot): Mandarin Spice*, Meihime, Mei Ling Hardison, Mente Vibora, Miakoda, Miakoda (2nd use), Miakoda (3rd use), and Minty-Fresh.

N, O, P, and R: Na'ir Arrakis, Oriana, Oriana Kast, Pandora X*, Phaele*, Ra'idah, the Red Viper, the Right Hand of Thrym, and Ruby Fusion.

S and T: S111-Voodoo, Sailor Setsuna, Sayaka, Scout Unit 1517, Shabah, Sokhranennaya, Soulshock, Spice Hardison, Sweet Cyanide, and Tiaga.

V (lots of nameholders here): Vice, Vixen Valor*, Vixen Vendetta, Vixen Venom, Vixen Vice, Vixen Viridian, Vixen Voltage, and Vixiepaws.

W and Y: The Wraith of Anguish, and Yuki On-na.

Notably missing: Elvish Parsley, my Elven Elvis impersonator fire/fire blaster from Victory...that apparently got deleted when I wasn't thinking.

Characters with * appear in civvies in the login screen, which stinks, because they all have awesome 'working' costumes. Anything not on Virtue could be potentially parted with, if someone sees a name they like.

Hi gang! I'm back! Hope you all had a good holiday and got what you wanted, or at least what you deserved.

I have one of the worst cases of altitis on record, and realized a few months ago that I'd created characters starting with each letter of the alphabet. Yes, it's that bad. Bear in mind that the toons you see below aren't all of the ones I've made, just the recent ones I've played. (I told you it was a bad case.)

YOU ROCK! I also have a fair number of alts (not as many as you, but easily over 30 or so) and have bios for ALL of them. If I make a hero, I write a bio...every time.

I'm still trying to figure out what race she belongs too. Those horns are all her.

Well, she's currently the only model in development. A prototype with a few bugs that still need to be worked out. I'd tell you to talk to her designers, but she killed them all. You could ask her if you could claim ownership of her for a fee, but she'd likely just kill you. At the same time she will still perform her equisite services for a minimum fee of $2000 per hour. Well, and then she'd kill you.

Or you could purchase one of the older 6.9 models for about 2.5 million new. It seems like a steep price, but they start paying for themselves right out of the box and they take care of all their own maintenance. Anything that they can't self-repair and you can bring it back to the manufacturers and they will fix it for free if it's still under warranty. You can contact Metro SinTech at 1-800-555-MSTI. They'd really appreciate your business as they are desperately trying to restaff their engineering department and could use the extra influx of cash.

Oh, and if you run into the 7.0 model, please do not engage in any way and call the Metro SinTech number and report her location. Their internal security team will be sent out to shut down her systems and reaquire her. Then she will be taken back for immediate analysis and repairs.

Triffic stuff.

I really liked the canonical names ("Trouble shooter"), and the way you made your costumes up (either fitting the costume to the name, or the name to the costume).

A-1 effort.

Five gold stars from me.

City Game Tracker is your buddy. Or at least it's my buddy since I didn't want to build an Excel spread sheet to keep track of everybody.

I should go get some screenies I suppose but I only have 65 alts. That's not even competition level in here

Thanks! This is actually one of my more ambitious concepts -- read on:

So I got Monster Child up to 20 last night. (My thanks to the Virtue-ites who ran the Faultline missions with me to get him over the hump. Take that, Nocturne! And your little sub, too!) The sole purpose was to get the second costume slot, of course. MC was designed with the concept of two versions of the same character who are different sizes, like the Hulk or the Wasp.

And it worked! Making max use of the sliders, the demon version of Monster Child (the one whose power Darren has harnessed by allowing it to selectively possess him) is nearly a head taller, even without the horns and wings.

Monster Child: Darren Childe and Vulgara the Demon.

To whichever designer/programmer/dev put the body sliders in: love 'em!
