Sandolphan's Revised MM Numpad Pet Controls
When I use the pet binds "0" button (to command all of the demons), I get this reply;
Usage:bind takes 2 args, you gave 1.
Binds a key to a command - 'bind k ++forward' will set k to toggle running forward.
bind <string> <string>
bind .
Keybinds file loaded: c:\covbinds\All.txt
Is there any reason why it would give this error? For some reason the "0" button to choose all doesn't work, and I can't see why not in the bind.
Any help is appreciated.
I had the same problem with the numpad0 trying to do stuff with all of them would do stuff with whichever i had last used instead of all. so if i uses the demons it would just move them. basically it acted like the separate files do.

Yes in the main Guide is the ALL PETS file/binds. It is listed separately, since all of the primaries use it. It will set up the numpad0 binds. I didn't repeat the ALL PETS for each primary as it would be redundant.

As I was setting this up as part of my attempt to start a Demon mastermind (my first real attempt at the AT) my OCD kicked in and I added a file structure to it to tidy things up. I also packaged the whole thing in a .rar file so all you need to do should be to extract it (to your C:\ drive) and load up a file in game.
Hope I'm not stepping on any toes here.

Oh, crud, let me fix that. I knew there was going to be a typo somewhere, there was just too much copypasta for it to all get placed properly.
EDIT: Okay, it should be fixed now, I've updated the original link, and you can also get it here:

Starting a Demon MM, will the numberpad controls work if I rename my minions or do I have to let them keep their default names?
It's come to my attention that we have access to some new pets in the Lore Incarnate tree; pets that will respond to the MM commands as well.
I'm not sure I'm going to write up an entire guide for using them with the numpad guide though (see link in my sig), as I'm rather busy this time of year. Instead I think I'll just make note here that all petcom commands will work with the new Lore pets.
Example commands:
/petcom stay pass
/petcomall goto agg
/petcompow Warworks follow def (Seers, IDF, Clockwork)
/petcomname Vict attack (Orb, ACU, etc)
Besides, I'm running out of keys and combos to command everything!

I'm having some problems with the text file version. No matter what I try, I cannot get my henchman to respond. I'm certain I've followed the steps correctly, but I don't know. I've managed to survive this long without it.
Edit: Well, feeling a little silly. Used the first binding method, and works perfectly now.
I tried both neither worked. All that happens is the powers in my powertray activate.
So has anyone updated this for the Lore pets?
Thank you SOOOO much!
With the pending release of the Beast Mastery Mastermind primary, I've written up the numpad binds and text files for use with the new powerset. Enjoy!

My compliments and gratitude for your guide, Sandolphan!
Beast Mastery on Live finally lured me into rolling a Mastermind, but I was not enjoying left-click, right-click, left-click, right-click, left-click, right-click, etc. After less than five minutes with your bind files in place I'm already having the fun the set was intended to be.
Thank you VERY much for keeping it updated, detailed, and easy to follow so even a beginner like me could utilize and customize the files fully.
thank you for keeping this updated, you are a hero

Huh, apparently I never posted in here to express my extreme gratitude for this guide.
I love playing my Master Mind, but I can't imagine playing them without using these key binds. Love, love, love this system and I recommend it to new MMs every time.
Thanks a ton, Sandolphan (especially for continuing to keep it updated!!).

Hey folks. Been using Sandolphan's pet controls like it was the best thing since sliced bread, but I've been lacking a bit in the control of minions. Mostly, Robotics' Assault Bot and Battle Drones I thought could benefit from being selected as one group, but the occasional finesse selection would still be appreciated. So, I figured, I could set up a text file for selecting the Assault and Battle Drones together, like so:

Anyone care to help me debug?

However, on loading the Robots.txt file, and hitting numpad1, I select the Battle Drones as the normal script allows, rather than selecting the Drones and the Assault Bot. What gives? What am I doing wrong? Anyone care to help me debug? |
Hm. What does the file C:\CoX_binds\Robot.Battle+Assault.txt look like?

Sure.
I think it's mostly because it's got a bind to Keypad 1 already, that the macro won't differentiate between Ctr-Keypad 1 and Keypad 1 normally. Or I could just settle for always moving my Drones and Assault Bot with Keypad 1, and give the Assault Bot overriding orders via Keypad 3. |
Looking at Sandolphan's original post, I do notice one difference:
petcom_pow is used when the command does NOT have quotes, such as in the Wolves.txt file
petcompow (no underscore) is used when the command DOES have quotes, such as in the bind section
One other possible troubleshooting is to put petcom_pow Battle Aggressive before petcom_pow Assault Aggressive as in
numpad4 "petcom_pow Battle Aggressive$$petcom_pow Assault Aggressive$$local ...Fire! At! Will!"
and see if that only affects the Assault Bots. If so, then that command line is only affecting the last pet in the string. I know that when trying to use two power commands in the same bind that only the last one actually gets executed.
Wait, one more thing... Try adding a second "L" in lctrl as in
lctrl+numpad1 "bind_load_file C:\CoX_binds\Robot.Battle.txt$$em stop$$local All drones...!"
Sandy, any chance you'll revamp the OP for the new forum format? The Edit lockout timer doesn't apply anymore.
