Did some flats for it - what do you all think of my color choices?
Also: Should I clean up the working lines? or leave them?
I'm tempted to leave alot of them because I like the "sketchy" effect for this picture >.> it feels grittier to me... but, I want to know what everyone else sees. (I can clean the lines up even post-coloring if necessary).

because it's the hermit, I say leave 'em. It gives a rustic rough feel to it

*sniff* I go away for a little while and everyone gets delusions of grandeur...
And I assume you just mean take a screenshot, slap a frame around it and call it a card. real photo manips are a little more involved.
Not that I am saying 'zmg let us do screenshots!!' Just defending the medium!

LEAVE THEM!!!!!
My old life drawing teacher practically beat into our heads that you should only ever erase something if it adds more to your drawing then leaving that element in. Nine times out of ten, it wont. In this case, those sketchie lines that help define the hermit there add sooo much interest to the image. Removing them would only remove some great and wonderful paths for the eye to fallow and take so much away from your drawing.
I love the way the drawing is turning out! Leave the lines, leave everything, just build on top of what you have and remove nothing!
Oh, and the colors are quite nice... I dig them truly...

I had never heard that, about not erasing something unless it added to the image... <o.O> I must try this - usually I end up erasing most of my working lines because I worry they'll look messy>.< mayhaps I shall try more sketchiness in the future <@.@>

I'm being horribly horribly A.D.D. with my sketches. Have 2 that Im trying to pick between (will scan when I can). But then I start drawing something completely differant and get all sidetracked.

By the way, not to be intrusive, but have you considered the Lighthouse in Siren's Call as the basis of the Tower Card? That was my first impulse when this discussion started...

Didn't think of that, don't even know where it is. My first thought was Ghost Widows Tower. But I'm going a slightly differant direction with my interperatations. Mostly cause I'm not good at drawing architecture.
