Wow! Both of those look great CB and Mist!

Okay, here's a (very) rough prelim sketch of my card, The Moon.

I'm probably going to reverse Draco and the Warwolf's positions, because I had a different idea for Draco's pose.

(I've still got so much to learn.)

yeah great work and starts everyone , now im feeling like such a slacker as I won't be starting on mine until this upcoming weekend

Posted

So far so awesome.

So, the actual illustration should be 3.75" x 5.5"? We shouldn't include the text / number / borders or nothin'?

Posted

Well the actual piccy you draw will be reduced to that size eventually , If you can work in your card name and number awesome but no spankins if you can't .

You probably don't need to boarder your pic as We will decide on a set of boarders later on to make us uniform ((of course if you have a really nifty boarder idea and wanna double boarder your image more power to yah

((Sorry im not a font of info guys , this is my first time suggesting a forum project <.< >.> im usually the person sleeping in the back row ))

Very cool, thank you.

Above, the word font was mentioned. That reminds me, we need to select a font. How about the Red Book font used in the game and forums?

Wow

Theres some really cool stuff coming out here, you know what I really like though is the buzz of energy and enthusiaum that is around. Thanks Scarfgirl for this. Everyone keep up the work.

PS, sorry for working so fast, you know thats just my thing. I though of different poses, but nothing seemed right, so I just went with the actual look of the Hanged Man cards, I'm sure as Scarfgirl says if we get your theme then it works. Can't wait to see the rest.

im just glad we got alot of folks involved

The Priestess is half down in ink. I'm having trouble coming up with a Cities-themed replacement for one of the elements, but so far so good....

...if I could just decide how to color it....

Pencils! Pencils! Pen....*ahem*...whatever works best.

Seriously, your GIMP stuff has been good too, so no compliants either way.

On a random note, compared to what I have seen so far...I am sucking wind right now. Does Crayon count as a viable drawing tool?

Crayon would definitely add variety!

I'm waffling between two styles. Part of me wants to run straight pencils (yes, I said pencils), but the other half wants to style it up like the classic woodcuts - which would mean digital color under the ink would be easier.

I'll probably wind up being lazy, though, and doing a combo...mainly because the thought of coloring the priestess' black column with pencils makes me want to rip my hair out.

I got a sketch done, but I'm about ten states away from my scanner at the moment. I'll share something on thursday! (Maybe wednesday night.)

Great starts, one and all. We should have more art forum activities like this!

I'm sorry.

Due to real life stresses, I will be unable to finish my card for this project. Derek, if you're still interested, perhaps you could do it?

Again, I'm sorry.

That's unfortunate Draco. I hope things work out.

Wow, this project got a quick kick in the seat with some serious nitrous! Damn. It looks like I'll probably be pulling up the rear with mine (thanks for setting the speed, Celtic, damn you! nice piece though, very nice, but still, much damning in your direction). Either way, here's what i got so far...

And Squirrel, wow, I am loving your hermit so far! I love the trashed ragged looking robot (cyborg?) girl with the light bulb hanging off of the end! Nice touch... and you got the isolation of the hermit down as well and it looks like there's already a hint of the introspective truth hunting nature of the hermit as well... just a glimmer though. I can't wait to see that one finished out.

Oh, and you got a good layout for Death so far CJ. You with death... it's gonna rock!

I was going to also suggest the Mystic Eye, they also have a great display of numerous deck, if you are looking for inspiration or ideas. Certainly gave me some perspectives.
