Syne didn't respond, watching him charge to her. When he was nearly there she dropped quickly to the right side and to the ground and swept to trip him, followed by swinging back up to axe kick him as he fell. To add confusion to her already quick and hard to follow movements, the shun still shone brightly off her armor, and she was leaving a slight trail as she moved.

As H'taed fell, he hyper-accelerated his fall using the ground-seeking electrical energies in his body. He hit the ground so fast that he burrowed through it. Syne's axe kick passed right through air above a hole in the ground.
In his foxhole, H'taed started throwing up mud bombs. From a distance it looked like a water-spout. Only it was spouting electrical death. (I like electrical death. ^.^)
Aoleleb reversed his spin and the two tornados canceled each other out, leaving Aoleleb largely unharmed. He looked down at the ground and saw the battle unfolding before him. The new "hero" seemed to have powers similar to his, but she was definitely better at controlling dimensional energies.
He was being ignored for the most part, which amazed him. He guessed no one remembered he had the device.
"Well, time to make myself scarce."
He had the perfect idea on where to go. He dissapeared, flying through the dimensions toward Upsilon Beta 9-6!
((I thought we needed a change of scenery. For those wanting to know, what he did is he opened a portal inside himself and closed it after he was through. To anyone watching he would have just seemed to have dissapeared. He doesn't like to do this though because it's very uncomfortable.))

Whatever floats your boat is good with me, but where and what the hell is Upsilion Beat 9-6?
((Wanna see something delicious? Of course, not to H'taed of course <.<)
When the kick wiffed, Syne stepped back, drew out a golden glowing thread, and plucked it with a finger so that it vibrated widly. The best way to describe what happened for everyone else in the area that moment was a sort of dark pressure, almost like you were about to sneeze, but it never happened.
To her on the other hand, it was much more. She appeared directly behind herself a few moments in the past, everything frozen as if time had stopped. She lowered her hands, thread still kept firm and vibrating, walked over to H'taed just as he had begun to accelerate himself, and kicked him square in the back of the head. It was a simple kick, not much force behind it, but that would amplify many times soon enough when time began to move.
And with that she walked back behind herself, pulled on the thread, and snapped it cleanly in two. The thread disintegrated, and she reappeared where she left off. Not any anyone noticed, all they saw was the dark "sneezing" pressure and her break the thread cleanly in two for no apparent reason.
From there she shifted back into her battle stance and watched the sky, ready to dodge anything that dropped on her.
((He'll feel that kick whenever you feel appropriate :P Since it was during a set moment in time, you can't really be sure what effect it would have on him and/or when it would actually register in his mind that he was struck. Ahh the hoops you have to jump through with time control.))
((Edit: I just thought of a good way to describe it. You know how in the Matrix, they had that little Deja Vu scene about something changing? That's kinda like what she just did. There are repercussions to her doing anything much bigger than a tap on the back of his head. Sure, she could have axe kicked him again while time was stopped, odds are it would have killed him instantly. However, the blast of energy from such a forceful move probably would have ripped the fabric of time, and probably moreso than she could fix. What she did there was weave a small thread of her own, set it in motion, then broke it afterwards. That way she didn't actually affect the fabric of time in its whole, only her small addition. Of course, as I said, had her addition been "sloppy" such as striking a large blow, it would have caused damage.
Blah blah blah, I'll shut up now <.< H'taed gets to decide how much the tap actually hurt, considering the speed he was going. I wont call that.))
((Edit2: Heh, just thought I'd mention that I'm planning on H'taed winning this first fight between them :P It wont be easy, but he should pull out on top))

H'taed suddenly felt a tap on the back of his head.
Being grounded by the electrical forces in his body, he wasn't allowed the pleasure of being thrown back. The kick cleanly snapped his spine in half. Lord H'taed collapsed to the ground.
However, the fight was far from over. H'taed was made more of energy then flesh, and the electrical charge in his body began to stimulate the muscles and nerves in his body, forcing an accelerated healing process.
H'taed climbed back onto his feet. He didn't look it, but that kick had really jarred him. He glared at Syne.
"You're going to pay for that." He spat. He thought quickly.
'So she can freeze time and such eh? Well what if I attacked so fast that she didn't have the time to freeze time? I don't care how fast she is, not even I can out-speed a lightning bolt. She doesn't have the reaction time needed to do that. I hope.'
So H'taed raised his fist in the air.
"Dodge this." He said.
Only the lightning bolt didn't come down towards him. It was streaking right towards Syne at the speed of light. 165,000 miles per second.
((Upsilion Beta 9-6 is Praetorian Earth... >.>)
"Woah, what the hell."
Nether felt as though she had stalled, but only for a split second. The scene down below hadn't changed at all.
It was the girl.
"So the newest addition to our little game has some power."
She could see Garret in the waters below the statue, and it look as though he didn't want much to do with the fight going on below. Looking up she saw Aoleleb just as he disappeared.
"I'm pretty sure he's not going to be able to escape that easily. Unless the brute forgot that he had the device."
With that, she stepped back from the ledge, and for the third time today, began scrying out the device.

The grass rippled under her feet, flattening in a circle around her from a sudden shockwave. In that small frame of time she had bent backwards, the bolt of lightning blasting over her. She shimmered once during all this, then a second time after the bolt had passed and she straightened back up.
"Tsk tsk, don't you know that control is instinctive for those so heavily entwined with it? Not to mention time is an open book for..." She stopped her little brag, eyes slightly crossing and then reaching up swiftly to pull a few hairs down in front of her face. They were burnt.
"You...you..." She glared at him, yanked the couple of hairs out, and rushed at him. "HOW DARE YOU!"

H'taed calmly stood still as Syne rushed towards him.
"You might be able to control time. But guess what? I can run so damn fast that even if you do slow time down again, that will lower me down to AVERAGE speed. You can't beat me. And now for my next trick..."
H'taed brought his hands together in a clap.
A single tiny spark flicked from between his hands.
It fell to the ground and simply stayed there. The little spark didn't fade away, it just sat there on the ground.
However, it was unlikely Syne had noticed the little spark. To hide the mysterious move of unknown potential, H'taed had conjured twin electrical maces in both hands. Both of which were capable of attatching mud bombs to any target they hit. He held them out in front of himself in a defensive stance. He kept his lightning reflexes activate. If Syne tried to slow down time again, she would find that he would no longer be able to superspeed, but he would still be able to move normally at least.
And of course, there was always that little spark. But what was it?
OOC
And no, the spark is not a mud bomb or mud mine. You'll have to attack H'taed to see what it does.
Although admitedly, Prodiguy from Final Fight knows what it does...But that's besides the point.
"Praetorian Earth eh... That should be interesting."
She stood up and looked down upon the fight that was still ensuing. She made another symbol in the air, different from the first, which disappeared as quickly.
"I'd love to see how she or he handled this, but I've got a package to retrieve."
With that she backed away from the ledge, as to not be in view of the combatants, and opened a shadow door to Praetorian Earth. Stepping through the last thing she heard was Syne yell "HOW DARE YOU!"

((Ahh, slippery. Of course, I think you forgot something :P))
Syne's hands were weaving as she ran, strands linking back and forth between her fingers. She shimmered once as she started to circle him, changing her direction with only a minor loss of speed. She jumped into the air, shimmering before she left the ground, and again as she started a suicide dive towards him. 3 feet from him her face scowled in concentration and she twisted the strands...and everything froze.
((Count it!))
She had stopped time again, but there was much more to it this time. She continued her dive as a Syne appeared on the opposite side of H'taed, kicking at the back of his knees. ((1)) Another appeared soon after and roundhoused to the back of his head. ((2)) Two more appeared on either side of him and kicked, one at his stomach and the other at his back. ((3 and 4)) The flying Syne pulled up at the last moment and aimed for a knee to his face. Another Syne was jackknife from the ground up between his legs. ((5))
Whether or not he could move with time frozen, it would be quite tricky to move from such a trap. The look on the flying Syne's face as she pulled this maneuver however was strained...it was a desperate finisher, with all hope in that he couldn't escape.

H'taed was smashed by all four of Syne's ripple images, denting his armor and fracturing several of his ribs, he stubled, and a dark black goo started to seep from the darkness of his hood.
However, the real Syne's attack was blocked by...herself?
As she had passed over the spark, it had sought out her electrical signature and zipped into her. It then copied her electrical patterns and shot back at, the electricity moving at the speed of light to form a perfect carbon copy of Syne. Only she was made of electricity.
The carbon Syne charged the original.
OOC
I DID warn you. Prodiguy in Final Fight had one of his characters subjected to the carbon spark as well...Earthbound Angel I believe. Created an electrical angel that could shoot light and electrical beams. It's still around, actually...
And for future referance...
INFO* The Carbon Spark!
This nasty little bugger sinks into the targets body, and copies the exact electrical patterns within thier body. After leaving thier body, it then creates an exact duplicate of thier electrical body signatures, creating perfect "carbon" copies of them. These carbon copies can absorb most energy attacks, usually wield the same powers as the copied person, and had electrical attacks to boot. However, H'taed has no control over these copies. They are rogue, wild, so on and so forth. Anyone can control them. He usually uses this as a last resort, because it drains a HUGE amount of energy out of him, and he can become a target for these copies himself. And since they absorb energy, he is effectively useless against them.

((H'taed, the way you had posted that spark you made it sound like it had dropped right in front of you. For one, the main Syne took off into the air and so never would have actually touched the sparks, and the rest of the "copies" are ripples in time, they have no real "significance" in current time, as they came from moments before.
That, and if time is stopped, how would a trap go off? Even with the high speed of light, it would still need some time to process, of which there is very little, or even none at all in that case))

Your copies are just ripples in time? Editing...
And the spark is designed to magnetize to any electrical source passing by. Meaning it would have latched onto you regardless of touching it or not. Just getting too close to it would do.
As for the time thing, it's all about speed. H'taed is moving at a normal pace with you slowing down time because he is moving so fast. The electricity is moving at the speed of light, because technically, that's what it is. So the same principle applies to it as well. *Light is made up of heat and electromagnetic waves*
However the time ripple bit is fair. Editing...
((Also, if time stops, it doesn't matter how fast something is going :P She exists outside of the fabric of time, that's why she can move when nothing else can. Other than that I dunno what to say, we'll work it out I suppose.))
((Edit: Got another question for ya. Does the copy think with a mind of its own, or does it just react to stimuli by its original?))

Rant coming on.
Well if you freeze time ENTIRELY that's simply unfair. You can SLOW time but you can't stop it entirely. That falls under god power section. You HAVE to give your enemy time to react, no matter what attack or power you use. H'taed can get out of almost any situation, but that does not mean he is all powerful. He could IN THEORY overload your electrical synapses and cause a blood viegn in your brain to pop. SPAZ your dead. But he doesn't do that simply because that would be...
A: An autohit attack that doesn't give you a chance to dodge
and
B: An attack which kills you in one hit.
Slowing time is perfectly fair. However, STOPPING IT ENTIRELY isn't. If you can STOP time, what's going to prevent you from simply cutting someone's head off with a toothpick?
Everyone has limitations. I don't care if you can slow time. Hell, you can launch an atom bomb and sic the entire freedom phalanx on H'taed, and I would be fine with that. You CANNOT do something which automatically renders another person helpless or powerless. They have to have a chance to retaliate.
End rant.
As for the copy, it thinks with a mind of its own. Meaning it is an NPC that can be controled by ANYONE. So you could, for example, spin the copy around, (how you would spin an electrical mass around, that's up to you.) it would see H'taed and probably attack him. That's just an example though.
((Now, remember what I said about her not being fair? :P However, it DOES require a massive amount of energy for a small amount of time. The amount of time that was frozen there was all of maybe half a second, just long enough for the kicks to make contact, and poof she's out of energy. That and, even if she just slowed it so that you were going at regular speed, the exact same thing would have happened that you just said in your post.
And don't you start ranting about auto hits, she could just go back and time and kill H'taed's parents or some such thing if I wanted to, but I'm not doing that, am I? But enough of this, I want to make this a fun game, not turn it into an argument. I made her unfair for a reason, but I also wasn't intending on her winning in the first place. H'taed is made mostly of electricity, she's using melee attacks designed to incapacitate flesh and blood. It doesn't matter how cheap she is, I don't think she's going to win that fight, so I dunno why you're complaining this much :P
To put it simply, she basically just threw out any hope of an extended battle. You don't even need to be arguing right now. Whether she actually stopped time like I said, or not, the fight is finished, she has nothing left to go on. All she can do now is try and run from the copy, and hope she can get far enough away that she can rest.))

Sorry. I've been stressed lately.
And btw...The going back in time thing wouldn't work for two reasons: A, H'taed doesn't have any actual parents. He's a bit of a science experiment made by Lord Diov. Hell would have to freeze over and then some to get the drop on him in his tower. Even with time travel. B: H'taed would find a way to travel into the past and stop you anyway.
You know, traveling to the past to kill crap isn't actually a half bad idea, considering we are using Praetorian Earth and the Shadow SHard, after all.
Erm. Anyways...On with the show?
Aoleleb landed on Praetorian Earth with a particularly painful thud. The one problem with dimension hopping is that if you aren't careful, you could easily get killed. That new "hero" had given Aoleleb an idea he wanted to test. He wasn't exactly sure how to do it, but it would be a big help if he could pull it off. Concentrating his will, Aoleleb focused on opening a new portal, that would put him out slightly to his right and 2 seconds in the past! He opened it inside himself, just so it wasn't too odd, and was sucked through. As he was sucked through, he thought he saw a slight glimmer next to him.
He landed beside himself, just in time to see himself be sucked through, so that's what that glimmer was!
"Aoleleb!"
"What Krystell?" Aoleleb panted. That time travel had taken a LOT of energy.
"That was odd. I just thought I saw two of you on the Radar. Are you OK?"
"Yeah, just a wee bit out of breath. Turns out if I focus my portals the right way, I can travel back in time!"
"Be careful with that! It would really suck if you created a paradox and destroyed the universe."
"Thanks for your concern."
Aoleleb knew that if that new "hero" could do this time travel thing multiple times, he had no chance of beating her. Unless...
Aoleleb reached into his Pocket and pulled out a large crystal, about three-fourths the length of his forearm. It was a Greater Welkynd Stone he had picked-up in Tamriel. It was able to absorb energy for the user to pull out later. It already had quite a bit in there, as Aoleleb had stored energy in it over the centuries for just such an occasion. He poured a little more in and put it back. He was utterly exhausted, but hopefully he wouldn't be bothered here for a while.
