Syne took the first punch from her clone rather hard, flying back and hitting the dirt with a crash. She got back up to receive a kick to the shoulder, knocking her across the dirt again. While the copy may not have the fighting experience she did, it more than made up for it in the strength she currently lacked. With a deep breath she gathered what energy she had left and started weaving with one hand, the other holding her shoulder.
"Count yourself lucky, this time!" She had done at least part of her job, to stall him as long as possible. She didn't realize he would be THIS strong. The clone jumped at her as she broke the thread and blinked out of sight in an instant, she had removed herself from this time stream with her last burst of energy. On the other side she collapsed against the ground, safe for the moment. It would be a good while before she had the strength to lift herself up again.
As for the clone, it hit the dirt roughly with a missed attack, glanced around, saw H'taed, and rushed towards him.
((Sorry if that seems iffy, I'm kinda in a bit of a snag here with life, but I didn't want to hold you up anymore. I promise I'll post better later on!))

((So it's 3am my time (pacific if you didn't know) and I just got home from drinking, followed by eating an omlet. Here goes my post...))
Nether entered the temple with no problems. Most of the minions were either too busy doing something else to notice, or just steered clear of her. Following the winding corridoors, she eventually made it to Black Swan's chamber. She could hear voices inside, on definitely belonging to Black Swan. When the voices stopped Nether scratched the door.
"Enter."
As the door opened, Nether glanced around. No one was in the room. When the door closed behind her she dropped her illusion. Black Swan had a look of suprise, shock, and repulsion.
"You might remember me from before, but this time I have a proposition for you that doesn't include you being confined to a small space."
((That last bit is Nether talking. And I'd finish my post, but I am WAY to tired to do anything more.))

"You!"
Black Swan's expression had gone from repulsion to rage. She began conjuring Wraiths to aid her, but Nether intervened.
"You're Shadow Earth minions are nothing. You can't even tap into the true energies of the Netherrealm." Swan's visage of pure hatread didn't let up, but her conjuring did. "And I'm not here on a pleasure trip either. I'm here because I may be able to help you."
Swan's look changed from hatred to incredulousness. Nether had never seen anyone change expressions so many times in her life.
"You? Help me? What can *you* possibly do to help *me*?"
"Maybe you don't remember what happened last time we crossed paths. Anyway, after that little incident you lost quite a bit of favor from Tyrant. There's a dimensional traveler, Aololeb, you may know of him. He is currently near the capital, and rumor is he's trying to steal Tryant's prized Black Ruby."
"If you were to stop him, and give him to Tyrant as a gift, quit possibly you would be back in his favor." Nether raised an eyebrow for emphasis.
Nether knew Black Swan would never be able to stop Aoleleb, but she may be able to slow him down enough.
I would kill you, but this is an intriguing piece of information layed before me. I will think on this, in the mean time, get out of my sight, before I change my mind.
Nether chuckled to herself as she left the room. Swan's minions gave her evil looks, but kept to themselves. As she reached daylight once more, Nether cloaked herself and headed back towards the woods. Finding a quiet grove away from the temple, she sat down and wove a scrying spell to see what Swan would do.
"Let's see if she took my bait..."
((Jeez, I've got some perfect tricks I want to try out on either H'taed or Syne, and both currently using "Rest" :P Especially since spells have no ties to the temperal stream, they just exist. And if someone has something interesting they want to post that Swan would do, go ahead, just know that whatever she does Nether is going to see and hear. The whole point is for Swan to head to the captial looking for Aoleleb, so no "Swan decides Nether is lying and goes looking for her instead" ))

((Yeah, with the exception of Syne most likely :P Like I said, I never meant her to be fair, she was just meant to piss people off, specifically H'Taed. Anyone deemed "too powerful" will have a meeting with her. H'Taed showed his powers off from the very beginning, so he got a pretty little visit :P If Aoleleb starts showing off, he'll get one too... once she recovers of course. I just kinda have her there as a checks-and-balance person.
As for Alex... I have no idea what I'm doing with her. She's stuck on the top of a building, even if I bring her back conscious, she has no real way of getting down without dying <.<)

Aoleleb stood up as he heard a noise. It wasn't much, just a slight scrape, but it was getting closer. He was agitated, tired, and VERY pissed off. If this person was an enemy, they would most likely not last more than three seconds.
The sound got closer and closer. It came close and tunred out to be...Black Swan.
"What do you want?"
"A little birdy told me you were here to steal something from Tyrant. I'm here to stop you!"
Aoleleb rubbed his eyes just to make sure he wasn't seeing things. This pathetic excuse for a Praetorian actually thought she could stop him?
"Heh, that's cute. but seriously, why are you here?"
Black Swan threw a blast of dark energy toward Aoleleb, which he simply dodged.
"So you are serious. Fine."
Aoleleb used his fossilize power on Black Swan, encasing her in a block of granite twice as thick as she was long. He conjured a ball of fire in his hands, and it started growing.
"This is gonna hurt you alot more than it will me."
((Stopped there in case Nether wants to hop in. Just be careful cuz that ball of fire is going to grow to be bigger than Atlas's globe. ))
"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
OOC
We can both be Black Swan for a bit XD Anyway, here's a heads up for Thunderbug, spells and magical energy aren't contained within the timestream, so stopping time has no effect on them >

Nether had followed Black Swan to Aoleleb, but had kept herself cloaked and in the shadows. She had seen the confrontation between Aoleleb and Swan, and found it quite amusing. Seeing the growing fireball Nether knew she had to move fast. Still cloaked, she snuck up behind Aoleleb. By now the fireball had grown to the size of a house. Using her fist as a focal point, she aimed a nasty kidney punch right for Aoleleb, releasing nether energy from it at the same time.
------
Black Swan had never seen a hero this powerful before (at least in her opinion). She knew she wasn't going to be able to take him alone. Her eyes flared black for a moment and 2 shades appeared on either side of her. They both smashed skeletal fists into the stone, creating large cracks. Another hit and she'd be free...

((You god moded my fireball...))
Aoleleb felt the punch, and while it severely hurt him, he was too enraged to even notice. Swan was breaking free, Nether had just popped in from nowhere, and they were apparently working together. What Nether hadn't counted on was the punch did not cause the fireball to dissapear, it caused Aoleleb to drop it, right on her!
((Aoleleb is unaffected by his own atatcks unless they are redirected by an outside force. Just dropping my fireball doesn't hurt me, but if I did some lightning attack and someone like H'taed reflected it, it would hurt. btw, Aoleleb doesn't find this amusing. He's trapped in a dimension he doesn't like and just wants the GoPC HQ portal system top come back online so he can get out of here.))
"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
((Lawl... wait, what? God moded your fireball? You never specified where he had the fireball at, I assumed he had his arms up and the fireball over his head. I could see him making a fireball in the same stance as Ryu from Street Fighter II, but doing that and making a huge fireball that encases himself and everything around him before throwing it just sounds kinda retarded (no offense). And how are you stuck here, can't you make your own portals? You've been doing it this whole time.))

((You god moded it (sorta) by specifying how large it was, although I admit I did not specify how fast it grew. The fireball was not encasing him, he had it held over him. I worded that wrong. He is not "trapped" per se, but his mission is to bring the device back to GoPC HQ. He cannot do so until the portal system is back up.))
"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
((Ah, well that's not really god moding but I get what you're saying.))
That probably wasn't the greatest idea, Nether thought to herself as she saw the fireball coming down on her. As fast as she could, she threw up a defensive shield to protect agains the flame. It wasn't going to be enough, but it would keep her from being instantly vaporized.
Reversing her movement, she dove away from Aoleleb and his fireball.

((Ooh fire :P And I thought I'd point out that I already knew about magic, as in the magic kind. Something fire from anyone BUT a magical entity will freeze in the time stream, a magic fire blast is encased inside its own force of pure energy.
However, since time is effected while the magic is not, if Syne simply slowed time, moved to the side, and let it continue, that would seriously screw up the caster of the fireball, or whatever else it is :P The magic itself may not be part of the time stream, but the magician still is, and as such is still affected by little tricks like that.
So its more that the magician would have to corner her to hit her effectively. Otherwise there would be a fireball thrown, Syne suddenly moves to the side and the fireball is a good 20 yards farther than half a second ago, imagine the chaos from that <.< Syne technically creates bubbles to hit herself in when she does time-related activities, so to speak, so that she isn't affected by the repercussions of anything that may happen as a cause of it. So if she has time to dodge out of the way of some magic blast, why not spend the bit of energy to slow the time stream around her a few moments, just to throw off the rhythm of her opponent? :P))

"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
((I know magic is more than just fireballs o.o that's just an example. A dark attack from Nether would, to her, go off way faster than she expected, and miss Syne entirely if Syne thought fast enough to bubble and move.
And yeah, a fire bubble around her would probably work, depends on how you word it. If she's surrounded in it, she couldn't go anywhere, but if she had created any "tokens" recently, she could still break the timeline and send them after you to make you lose your concentration. Its all about the adapting.
But see, I'm glad people are thinking, and not just getting mad that she's so unbelievably unbalanced :P I love adaptation, its what makes fighting fun!

Aoleleb turned to see Nether diving away from the fireball of doom. He turned to face Black Swan, and saw the shadows breaking her free. He roared with rage and tore a giant hammer out of the ground. He flew towards the shadows and flattened them both with a swing each. He extended the stone Black Swan was trapped in to cover most of her head and tore it out of the ground. With one mighty swing he sent her flying over the War Wall. He turned back around to see what the fireball had done to Nether.
((And Nether, I doubt shadows could break Black Swan out of a block of granite 12 feet thick with just a few punches :P))
"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
((Well, you never said there were 12ft thick, just... wait oh, there it is, apparently I can't read. Yeah, I doubt so either.))
The fireball had hurt. A lot. Nether's entire body was smoking, he hair was singed, and her skin looked like she had been in an oven. She got up on one knee, and when she looked up at Aoleleb her eyes weren't blue anymore. Once again blazing a firey red, she spoke with a voice about 3 octaves below normal.
"Your power is nothing. I have walked through darkness, but can you?"
With that, everything went pitch black. They both seemed to be standing on level ground with no obsticals or barriers, and if they could see that far, it would've extended in all directions.
"Now lets play..."

Nether stepped out of her shadow door into the outskirts of a forest. She new she was on Praetorian Earth, but which section was the question. Taking a second to orient herself and look for landmarks...
"Looks like I'm in Black Swan's neck of the woods."
There was a large clearing in front of her, beyond that a giant temple. The field and temple were crawling with Black Swan's minions from Shadow Earth.
"Shadow Earth, what a joke. And she probably wonders why she was taken down so easily last time."
Nether took a few moments to weave a scrying spell. She closed her eyes and could see Aoleleb like he was right in front of her. Behind him she could see men and women in leather, with spiked hair and maces. Thinking aloud...
"Dominatrix's minons. He must be close to the capitol then. This could be a good thing. Maybe I should pay Black Swan a visit, crack a couple jokes about why she can't control true denziens of the Netherrealm. Heh, Shadow Earth..."
Chuckling to herself and shaking her head, she wove another spell, taking on the shadowy appearance of a Shadow Earth Poltergeist (Black Swan's Boss class minion). With that she headed towards the temple, slowly, but with purpose.
((I'm guessing we've all played long enough to have gone through the Praetorian storyarc. Putting a creative spin on it, I'm going to say that while they were "defeated" in game, they were able to escape back to Praetorian Earth, to plot and scheme once again. And sorry Element_Master if you had someplace on Praetorian Earth you had planned to have been at. You didn't say so I came up with something. Considering you can make portals across dimensions, if you did, then you can get there easily enough ))
