5th Column costume?
seems you could get close using tights and shoulder pads of the smooth metal variety. boots would be large. gloves any tech type should do, but I would probably use the techwire kind. the helm? simple helm with goggles and face mask (ninja or assassin or one of the rebreathers) to flavor.
although this is without actually going into the game itself and from memory. the hardest part would be his chest armor, mainly cause it is only armor for the upper portion...as such you would have to make a few concessions when making it in game.~

This is as close as I could get.
I forgot to make the boots large style and the armor in game can't come close to that chest plate which is upsetting.
red dude? quick, but relatively close...
...as I mentioned the chest piece is the hardest to represent in game as it is armored and then there is the chest icon issues. also...proportions are off in my version but you could fiddle with the body types to get closer....~

I made a pretty close Council costume once, let me see if I still have the toon around.
I think if you did Tights Sleek it would look more like the picture. (Can't tell if you guys used it or not)
Scarf_Girls Official Kid Brother!
I'll take a shot at this when I get home.
I'll post "Columns Son" when I get home...he's a MM that is based of that very same picture.
5th Column based characters?
Well, I've got The Baron, and also in comic style.
not making any judgements, but I just can't stomach the idea of making a nazi themed character
Thats why the 5th Column were removed...Or so they say...I think...
Scarf_Girls Official Kid Brother!
actually it was because of the Euro release. Anything relating to Nazis it outlawed in Germany and they couldn't sell CoH in Germany if the 5th Column was still in it.
Don't get me wrong, I loved having them in game, it was great beating up Nazis. I just wouldn't play one.

One of the common theories (I happen to think its the most likely) was that NCSoft and Cryptic planned to market this game in Germany, but Germany doesnt allow stores to sell games with Nazis in them. Or, thats what the thought was at the time of its German release.
*EDIT* Bah, too slow.
*giggles*
Does that mean a Hellboy game couldn't be sold in Germany? Hellboy spends a lot of time smashing old Nazi plots...
Come to think of it, does that mean no Indiana Jones games could be sold in Germany?
This has been debunked many times. Not sure why this rumor wont die. I have a friend just came back from almost 3 years in Germany. Avid CoH player... There are a lot of wierd laws with video games (and just wierd laws in general)... but... There are tons of games with Nazis in them in Germany. The limitation is that the Nazis are required to always be the bad guys.
So... all the WWII video games with Nazis are sold in Germany.
The packaging of said game is limited... nothing Nazi on the outside...
I actually believe the Devs on this one that the whole Council take over from the 5th Council is all part of their Super Secret Story Bible, and was planned from the games beginning.
I like this theory... because... it leaves a chance that the 5th (my favorite group... I love smashing Nazis)... will come back.
so they made evil italions instead they are buying it in italy as well

Hrmm... ?! I'm sure there's Hellboy over there, cause I was tempted to get some German reprints of the TPB's(New Mignola Covers, It's like crack) and I'm sure Indy is ok cause his stories take place in the WWII era.
Me 2 bits,

it's been very strongly hinted that they'll return, mainly with the 5th Column gladiator you unlock if you have the 1 and 2 year CoH anniversary badges. i think Manticore hinted at their return in a few interviews too
Goodbye, I guess.

Yup, although I have large doubts about them being in I9. The Inventions system and the Statesman TF seem to be the big stuff with that issue...
Ooo... But what if the Statesman TF battles Council, and at the end you discover some large foreshadow towards the 5th's return?

LMAO ROTLA FTW
Hey, I was wondering if anyone could attempt in making a costume similar to the 5th Column's. I've got a little concept. Just not sure how to make the costume.
5th Column
The front guy in the red is the one I've been trying to mimic, but no avail.
