Britannia vs Warfox (yes, they're back)

Hello again, everybody. Time for another Britannia vs Warfox piece of art. This one was done for me by the amazing Joseph Caesar Sto. Domingo. I love the little details he put into this. The leather of Warfox's suit, the little fox heads on her shoulder pads, the seams in Brit's costume, the integration between leather and cloth on Brit, there is so much I love about this piece. I hope you enjoy it, I certainly do.

Very cool.

*wonders how they'd look in 3D*

EDIT - My only critique is that the fishnet doesn't follow the contours of the leg, but I didn't see that til my third look (so it's clearly not a big deal).

Awesome piece, Buck! Does the artist have a website? That is an extremely comic book-y style (which I love), and you're right, the leather is colored SUPERBLY. And I really like Britannia's face.

I just have one thing to say.... Boobie punch! Part of me giggles as I imagine that becoming one hardcore purple nurple.

That looks fantastic! I'd also like to compliment you on Britania's costume. Nice design all around.

The detail on the characters outfits is very, very nice. Well done on such a great piece

OOooo.

Only one nitpick.

Obviously they both jumped/slammed through a plate-glass window... and both have shredded portions of uniform...

and yet neither Warfox nor Brittannia have any cuts on skin.

are both Invuln? or what?

Aside from that, man, gotta love the composition and the details.

When these two 'get together'... property damage ensues!

(Still wanna see a "Brit and Warfoxy at home" sketch, kind of like the Looney Tunes skit where the hound and fox clock out together after chasing each other all over creation for 30 minutes... or maybe Brittannia'd be serving tea and looking a bit miffed, while Warfox has her boots propped up on the coffee table and an insolent look on her face...)

"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."

He doesnt have a website that I know of, but he is on deviant art as ~josephcaesarsd

Thanks for the compliment on Brit, Arch.

DJ: Yeah, Warfox's fishnets seem to give many an artist a head ache and I think they just map a pattern on there for simplicity. More detail would look great, but I understand and am still happy with it. As far as being in 3D, I think I am somewhere in your queue.

Actually, they are both regen. This is a particular style of the artist. He has told me that he likes to see the rips, since having constantly pristine costumes is boring to him, but he doesn't like to see them bleeding or anything. He feels it makes for a more heroic image. With results like this, I certainly can't argue.

Wow Buck, very very nice. Congratz

For some reason, my favorite part is Brits ponytail. I dont know why, I just...like it? I dunno

Actually, I think you are as well. I'm booked through December, but if you contact me in January we can make it happen.

Regarding the fishnets; no worries at all. Fishnets are a TON of work and they look great in the drawing as is.

Cool piece man!! At first glance it kinda looks a little like a brandon piece. But then you look again and you can find all the differences. Great piece though.

Well, since you seem to like wings . . . just wait until issue 8 and I can add wings to complete her Gryphon Armor.

Stunning.

I do like wings...but I like brit as she is now...not sure about tacking wings onto her...envision her more as a supergal verse hawkgal.
...or is it a completely new look?~

It is an alt costume idea I had. I wanted some armor for her, and will need to make a set at level 30 as part of the Paragonian Knights. I thought about making it Gryphon Armour and giving her wings. But I have also recently been contemplating a return to her using SJ and making it a cape on the armor instead, especially since I now have InvinciBelle who is very much like Ms Marvel and will have fly. She could always be my winged character on an alt costume.

Yeah, I love her original look, it is etched in stone as her main outfit. I tried for months to make a British themed character until I came up with that.

looks like ya hit a homer ta me.

...played with a couple themed characters but still havent come up with anything I like or original enough. although I suppose I should just give up on the original part and go with what I think looks good. but maaaannnn I wish we could do asymetrical costumes....~
