Bright Star Children's Home (Open, Just For Fun)
Burning happily continued his jump-hovering, and he began to go longer! A whole couple seconds!
Until he came into the crossfire.
A balloon slammed into his head, knocking him back to the ground.
The boy's lip quivered for a moment, then his eyes flared, turning from a glow to flames.
He turned to the boy's fort, and a small fireball formed in each palm.
He threw both at Reikoff and Toy's skyscrapers.
Blightlord was searching the upstairs...
"There must be something..." He sensed magics not far, and followed the trace, heading towards Archlich's room.

Reikoff and the others screamed as they were spattered and sloshed with literally gallons of water. This had the fortunate effect, however, of saving him from recieving second-degree burns from the fireball.
What it didn't save them from was the electrical shock that erupted from Kathode when she was startled by the incoming mass of water.
"I HATE WATER!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, sitting on the floor of the tree fort with her clothing soaking wet.
"Oh really?" Roy said quietly as he chucked a water baloon in the fort from right in front of it. After chucking the water baloon he dashed for the other fort.
Burning stalked forward towards them, more little fireballs forming.
They got him wet! They got his superhero costume all icky! Did they know how long the pajamas would itch after he dried them?
Blightlord looked out a window as he approached Archlich's room. He motioned to Grime who quickly began casting a spell.
Burning reared back, ready to hurl the fireballs, when a tentacle of shadows grabbed his leg and tripped him.
He fell face-first into the dirt, and bit his cheek.
He tasted the blood, and it made him wince, holding back a sniffle.
He looked down at his superhero costume, and saw it was covered in mud.
His lip quivered for a moment before he ran back inside.
Blightlord chuckled to himself, as best as a four-year-old could. Grime was supposed to lock the child in place, making him a prime water balloon target, but this was much better. Now the children would see him as something pathetic.
That would work quite nicely.

((Bit confused. I know Io and Stell are in the Tree fort and I'm pretty sure Rosalind is there too. And the Malta crew is in the play scape fort. So if Kathode is in the tree fort wouldn't she have been spared the blast of water. ))
Experiment, seeing the distressed Burning run back inside, hit a switch on his confetti blaster.
"Super-High power, activated."
He looked around, trying to find the source of the tentacle he had barely spotted.
He accidently glanced upward at the window, and growled, granted, in a rather high-pitched voice, "Oh, dat is it."
He ran inside, toward the stairs, planning to confettify those who had made the poor mini-pyromaniac cry.
Grime shook his head, seeing Experiment rush inside and hearing someone come up the stairs. "One of the childwen are coming."
"We awen't here to kiw them awl. They awen't worth the time. We will humiwiate the Bwawler child and weave," said Blightlord. "Set a twap for the imbwecile so we may continue our search."

Archlich looked up from his paperwork as he sensed a spell being cast, but since it wasn't harmful, he ignored it and continued writing.

As they approached Archlich's thick, iron banded oak door, Blightlord and Grime suddenly realized that they could probably get some cookies from Essex if they asked for some.
**********************************************
"Incoming!" Block Bot shouted as the fireball exploded on the sand city, knocking sand everywhere.
Toy looked down at himself, his bright colored armor covered in globs of icy sand.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAH! ;_;" Toy wailed as he flopped down to the ground and wrapped himself in his sand-encrusted blanket. "I gots sand all over me, Essex!"

Ghoul lay down on the floor of the fort, his face looking up toward the blue roof and streams of water running down off his body. Puffing out his cheeks, Ghoul blowed and watched as a stream of water shot out of his mouth. Ghoul kept going until he ran out of water to blow. Then he jumped to his feet and grabbed another water balloon.
"Balloon em some more!" Ghoul shouted, trying to rally Reikoff and his friends. "Ghoul and team is better dan any stoopid girls!"
Then Ghoul did a quick double take as he looked at Anna and Kathode.
"Except you two," he said. "Ghoul tinks you is cool girls. Wanna throw more balloons now?"
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
"Cookies..." muttered Muck and Guck absentmindedly.
"Not now!" shouted Blightlord, louder than he had intended. He turned to the door. It should be simple to break in. He wondered if there were anti-teleportation spells inside it, and if Grime could still cast them in his... weakened state.
He crossed his arms, the thought of cookies didn't interest him at all, even in the body of a child.
Grime was examing the door, and cautiously placed a hand on it, searching for any wards.

Now Grime was struck by a sudden desire to run away. He knew that Archlich would be furious if he caught Grime trying to get into his room and Archlich was really, really scary. Maybe it would be best just to forget about this whole attempt and do something else.
If Grime resisted this spell, he would discover a multitude of other, more elaborate defensive wards on the door. They ranged from spells that would imprison the opener in a block of ice to hexes that would transform the trespasser into a frog. While none of them were especially lethal, Grime would have to trigger each one in turn or find a way to bypass them all to get inside.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
((Also, any spells/abilities used at the Bright Star will be equally flashy, but toned down to about the hurt-factor of a smack in the face. XP))
"What in the world is going on out here?" Essex called out as she carried Hallucinogen outside, only to be assailed by the crying Burning and the sand-covered Toy.
She sighed.
"Rosalind, are you and Ghoul feuding again?"
"Boys are stupid!!" Rosalind's voice cried from the tree fort. "Girls rule!! Right, Miss Essex?"
Essex shook her head. "Remember, it's only fun until someone gets hurt. So be careful of one another - and I want a truce by dinnertime, all right?"
Nessie looked over to Cobalt and to the strange poofy white girl, having shuffled behind her when she'd gone to the toolbox. "...If ye ask me..." she murmured quietly, "They're both s-s-stupid."
With that, she eyed the two fronts...and suddenly an idea occurred to her. Quietly, the bespectacled girl began to make her way back over to the house.

"We shouldn't..." Grime grunted. "Anger... Archlich, he's... sc-..."
The moment he was about to call another Lich 'scary' is when he broke free of it. Grime had nothing to fear from him.
"We can break through," said the Lich, not noticing his speech returned to normal, "but we will need them." He gestured to Muck and Guck, who were still drooling at the thought of some cookies.

Burning was sniffling as he tugged on Essex's leg and pointed at the mud on him.

Essex reached down to take Burning's hand with a calming smile.
"Come on, then...let's go and get you cleaned up." she said.

After having thrown the gigantic water ball, Virelai had little more desire for the antics of a water fight.
Actually, she did, but she was bored with it already--being a naiad, she had a severe advantage in any form of aquatic combat, and she didn't want to flaunt off her advantage...she wanted the others to have a chance.
Well, it was more the fact that completely dominating the opposition was of absolutely no fun to her--she enjoyed it when the others thought they had a chance, so that she could crush them. She supposed that was a little mean, but she didn't care. At least she wasn't pushing others or being rude.
...In a heated enviroment, on the other hand... She shivered unconsciously. She hated fire. She hated heat as a whole, actually.
Shaking her head slowly to clear her four-year-old thoughts, she simply quietly strolled her way over to Essex and sat down on the ground, letting out a yawn and leaning against her leg.
"Excuse me, miss Essex? You were talking about dinnertime...what are we going to eat for then, if I may please know?"
"Hm?" Essex said as she wrung out a washcloth to clean up Burning. "Well, Virelai...I'm not sure what most of you like or don't like yet, so I was thinking of ordering pizza for our first day. I know you don't like hot food, though, so if you like I'll make something special for you. What do you want for dinner?"

Virelai grinned and pointed over at Burning, the mud quickly drying out as she sucked away the moisture that made it mud, leaving only dry, easily removable stains. She lifted up her finger, the moisture forming into a ball of water on her finger.
"Ooh! Do you have any watermelons, or strawberries, please? Those are my favorite!"
The ball quickly popped, soaking her once more and splattering across the floor.
"...I really need to practice that."
Experiment was already halfway up the stairs when his ears suddenly caught one of his favourite words.
"Pizza?!" he called down, pretty much jumping from the step he was on, and rolling on the ground, landing face first. He stood, coughing, and dusting himself off, as he ran into the kitchen. "Plain cheese for me!:
Muck and Guck peered down the stairs, then at the trap they had set.
They bowed their heads and disappointedly started to undo it.
---------------
Burning smiled, seeing his 'costume' clean again.
He ran back outside, heading straight for the fort where he hid with the other boys.
He looked at the water ballons, and then at his palms, a small fireball forming.
This wasn't so hard a decision as it semed.

((Wow... Is it just me, or is Mini-Burning a slow learner?))
((Maybe he's a masochist. <.< >.>)
((Heh... Or a Pyrochist!
...Okay, I know that was lame, but be honest, what else do you expect from me? Humor? C'mon!))

More and more water balloons collided with the naiad, prompting her to shriek and duck down, lifting her hands up above her head to try and shield herself.
"Oh, that's IT." She fumed.
She once again closed her eyes and concentrated, holstering her revolver and lifting up her hands above herself into the air. Water started to flow off of her, up from the grass, and the water still in the air, starting to form a gigantic ball of water above her head. As more water balloons flew and spattered, the ball continued to get bigger and bigger, forming a gigantic ball of pure water that could likely flood the entire floor of a house.
"TAKE THIS!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, stumbling backwards for a few paces, and then hurling the ball as hard as she could, intent upon repaying the water-balloon-slingers in kind.
