Bright Star Children's Home (Open, Just For Fun)
((Pfft, Experiment is three! Granted, he has the I.Q. of a Harvard college student, but that is beside the point...))

((Bit confused. I know Io and Stell are in the Tree fort and I'm pretty sure Rosalind is there too. And the Malta crew is in the play scape fort. So if Kathode is in the tree fort wouldn't she have been spared the blast of water. ))
[/ QUOTE ]
((You're confused? I thought the tree fort was the only fort.))
((Oh well, cats hate getting wet so it works out fine this way. ))
Kathode was quite upset now and had red lightning crackling all over her body and zapping anyone nearby with the equivalent of a static shock.
Anna was not pleased at her dress getting wet either. However, it began to dry quickly as her body heat rose. Soon she was nearly dry with a cloud of steam coming off of her.
Stell scratched at her hair, she wasn't really quite sure what had happened down there with the boy's fort, but it seemed like the water fight was over. She turned back to the others and hopped a few times before hanging in the air.
"So what're we gunna do now?"

Essex laughed pleasantly, and began to gently dry off Virelai.
"Well, how about this - I'll make a salad for you for dinner and we'll all have strawberry shortcake for dessert. Is that all right?"
Nevertheless, she kept her eye on the open doorway into the backyard. Rosalind and Ghoul always play-fought, but Essex could always keep it from getting out of hand. With all these new children, though, it could get chaotic very quickly.
Nessie glanced over to Stell.
"...I'm goin' ta show them..." she said quietly, "That there's nae one or the other t' call each other stupid."
With that, she picked up the hose...aiming it squarely for Reikoff.

Io smiled at Stell, "We get the hose and hit them with ultiminate fire powa!" She said as Nessie grabbed it before she could. Io crossed her arms and pouted. "No fair, that was my idea."
Radeator flew down to Burning. "Ya know, I should tell you this before you twy to ook me wit fiwa. Fiwa no hurtie rwadiatwor.
((Radweatwor? Don't the W's replace the R's, and sometimes the L's? For instance, Bewieve is sometimes used for this kind of speech pattern... I know I am a dork, what of it?))
((Small explanation of the strength of Burning's fire blasts in this thread. If it hits you, you'll basically just get a sun burn that'll peel the next day, unless you get him really mad, then it would be more of a 'touched the stove' pain. Really quick, but still stings a bit after.))

Reikoff squealed as the hose doused him, trying to hold back the water with one hand whilst pointing with the other.
"Gedder!" He ordered, and Curtis and Marcus charged down the ladder, racing for the girl assailant.
Craig took up a position on a tree limb, throwing water balloons down onto everyone's head.
Burning's mouth was wide open in surprise as the hose streaked for them.
He quickly ducked behind Reikoff, letting him take the full hit.
He tossed several palm-sized fireballs at the hose wielder.

Nessie kept the hose squarely on Reikoff, her eyes narrowed behind her glasses. As Curtis and Marcus approached, she flashed a rare smirk, putting her finger on the stream of water to intensify it, varying fire from one to the other.
Rosalind raised an eyebrow at this.
"Backup!" she cried out, and ran to Nessie's aid, grabbing whoever was near and gathering up buckets to douse the attackers.
Essex, in the meantime, was looking out the kitchen window.
"Oh, my..." she said under her breath.
Japancakes.

"Don't worry, Miss Essex!" Experiment said, running from the kitchen to the back door quickly. He ejected a small spine from his right arm, and fired right at the hose-line...
...He really didn't think ahead for the whole 'Out-of-control-water' thing that would undoubtedly happen if the spike struck its mark.
The spike struck true.
Water sprayed -everywhere-, soaking both sides with a veritable shower of water. Rosalind shrieked and covered her head, and Nessie just glanced around, puzzled, as her glasses were soon covered with water. She took them off to dry them on her shirt, exposing a harsh ultraviolet glow from the exposed metal diode of her left eye.
"Goodness!" Essex cried, sprinting out back and trying not to laugh. She scooped up the hose as it sprayed everywhere, making her splutter and wetting her hair down to soggy blonde pigtails.
"Okay, I think the war's over...!" she said between splutters.
"They did it!" Rosie yelled, pointing to Experiment and Nessie and quietly edging over to the boys' side.
Hey, when trouble struck, it was best to stick together.
Japancakes.

Io saw Craig up in the tree and reached into the kitty backpack pulling out a sling shot. She loaded it with a pebble and launched it at the ballon Craig was holding and laughed when it exploded in his hand, that was until an uncontrolled spray of water hit her from the hose. She spurtered and ran behind the tree to escape the down pour. She heard Rosalind blaming Nessie and Experiment. Sounded like a good time to disappear and let matters be sorted out. She climbed up the tree until she was on the roof of the tree fort. Safe she rung out her dress and hung up her backpack to dry.
Experiment looked at his arm where the spine had fired from, to the hose, noting that most of the material his spines were made from was still on there, as the things had not become FULLY solid yet.
He knew his incrimination was obvious, but the hose-holder's wasn't, yet.
"...I sorta bribed her to use the hose... I was, uh... Trying to see if my latest invention would work... I thought I had created a water-blocking forcefield, but apparently I had failed... Uh... Yeah."
((Heh, youthful 2.0 is not only naive, but he also tries to get the blame off of others! What the hell happened?))
Burning pouted when he saw his fireballs get turned to steam by the water spray.
He was about to throw more when it seemed the water war had ended. "I always miss the fun..."

Seeing the boys make a run for the girl's side, Stell placed herself in between Nessie and them, her face scruched in effort.
"Ok... I need to be that big armory thingy.." There was an explosion of light and sound and only a puffball remained.
"Darnit." Oh well, best make the best of it. Bolts of light blasted out from the center of the ball, none of them stronger then a firm push.
Ani huddled in her corner, keeping her force bubble up. She was way to smart to get involved in this foolishness. She put her notepad away and threw three frisbees at the various boys.
Well, it dose look like fun...
When the hose broke and sparyed water everyone, Stell was the only one who remined dry, being nothing but light at that point. Ani cried out pulled her cloak tight around her as she turned on her anti-gravity belt her mother... didn't know she 'borrowed'. Floating up to the roof with Io, Ani took off her cloak and started to ring it out with a pout.

The mail slot on the door opened a small pinpoint puff of light slipped thought the slot. The slot clinked shut behind the light and it bounced against the mail slot trying to get back outside.
In another brighter puff of light a little girl was standing by the door. She had skin that was almost charcoal black, long green hair pulled up into a ponytail, and strange green markings on her face. However her most noticeable trait was the tall green antennae and the large fairy wings that fluttered on her back.
There was a small slip of parchment pined to her shirt, for those in charge. She looked confusedly at the other children.

Cobalt stood there blinking confusedly, sopping wet with her pigtails now drooping down on the sides of her head.
Seeing the spine stuck in the hose, and looking back at Experiment, she put two and two together and while not coming up with four, still figured out that it was his fault.
Cobalt reached into her backpack and pulled out a massive foam-rubber mallet that could not possibly have fit inside the bag and charged at Experiment howling some unintelligible battle cry.
Experiment gasped, and rolled forward, ready to flip the attacking mallet-wielder over him.
However, let us just say he wasn't the most balanced child in his youth, and instead slammed into the ground facefirst.
Hard.
Cobalt reached Experiment and started thwacking him with the foam mallet while he was down.
"Blarghen! Flarghen! Googenheimen!" and a long list of other assorted, odd phrases ending in either "-Ghen" or "-Ploof" was heard, muffled by the ground, with each strike of the foam hammer.
((Jeez, you guys are fast. We get hit by whats left of Ernesto and lose power and cable, and I come back and theres already been a water war!))
Feliks, who had managed to stay mostly dry through-out the water war emerged from his hiding spot. He saw Cobalt beating on Experiment from across the play ground. He ran over and put himself between the two, braving a hit from the foam mallet.
"Hey you two! Cut that out! Theres no reason for hitting each other, I'm sure of it! Besides...where we're you keeping that mallet?"
