Bright Star Children's Home (Open, Just For Fun)
Io stared at Experiment and looked at her hands. "No... no way... no, I'd remember that. I was always a girl, there's no way I was ever a boy. I would remember that, I know I would." She said a bit defensively. "What would you know, like your toy said, you're stupid." She said falling back on her instant retort.
2.0 frowned. "Mhm... Well, I know advanced calculus, along with many languages and different forms of chemicals, as well as how to create many devices, such as Troll-in-the-Boxes, and acid-layered boxing gloves! So dere- THERE!" 2.0 replied, his voice becoming more childish by the second.
He hated being called stupid.
The officer barked out a laugh, "This young one is a spot of trouble. He recently stole a car for a three day joy ride. To the boy's credit, he did return the car. This was his second major offense, the city believes it would be better for him to be placed here. Instead of out on the streets. His name is Shiro. That's all we've been able to get ou..."
"Shiro the Gambler," the boy replied with a grin.
The officer rolled his eyes, "The infomation we have on him was already sent to you earlier this morning." Shiro grinned and fidgeted with his jacket. He removed a sippy cup from a hiding place in his jacket and took a sip. He smiled even bigger as the officer held out, Shiro's hand towards Archlich. "Have fun and behave yourself."
She stared, "Why would you make a Troll-in-the-box, Jack-in-the-boxes are such baby toys." She said with a small smirk. "Want to make a rattle too? And a bottle?" She said focusing on the words she understood, she was pretty sure he had made up Calculus to sound smart, but it sounded like a smart word. She made a note to use it later.
"...But... But da Troll-in-the-Box punches really hard...." the college student muttered quietly, returning to his textbook. "You're not smart enuf for me! I are going to relearn stuffz!"
With that, he went off to a corner, and sat down with his book, sulking.
"Right," Archlich said as he looked down at Shiro suspiciously. "I think I can handle him, car jacking skills or not. Thank you for bringing him here, officer. Come along, Shiro."
Archlich took Shiro's hand and started to lead the kid into the Children's Home.

Feliks jumped back a bit when Toy somersaulted.
"Woah there! No reason to get THAT excited! Its nice to meet you, and your robots!"
He watched the bots run off at Essex.
"Woooow, those are so cool! Were did you get those?"
He watched as the lasers played harmlessly off Essex's body. He laughed a bit at the bots shouts.
"Your bots are funny. My toys arent even close to those!"
"My bots are the bestest, =P" Toy happily said as his toys rolled around, acting as though Essex's back was shooting back.
"Now we should go outside," Toy said. "Essex is showing the new kids awound."

Io stared confused, had she just won that fight or lost? She blinked and turned to Rosalind and then Essex, "Can we go outside now? I want to climb something." She said hoping for some big trees.
Shiro was lead into the house. He took a sip from his sippy cup again, his smile growing bigger. He looked up at Archlich, "What are ya? Ya kinda look funny. What is this place. It better not be some juvenile detention center. If it is I'll escape. Cause I'm lucky like that."
"Yes, we should. These new kids need to learn the lay of the land."
He said as he threw his should over his back. He leaned real close to Toy and whispered.
"Im not so sure these guys can be trusted, keep an eye out."
He winked to the robot, and over cautiously went outside with his back against the wall, clearly acting out his own spy games.
">_>" Toy's face shifted as he followed Feliks outside.

"Hardly," Archlich said. "You can walk right back out that door for all I care, just don't take anything of mine with you."
Letting Shiro go, Archlich led the boy into the office where a large desk covered in papers, a flat screen monitor, and colored folders took up half the room. Motioning for Shiro to take a seat in a bean bag chair set up on the left side of the room, the lich walked over to the fax machine.
"Good, your files are here," he said. "Wait there while I look them over."
Sitting down in his straight backed hardwood chair, much marked up from Archlich's armor, the mage started reading through Shiro's file.

"I bet I can climb faster than you!" Kathode taunted Io before breaking free of Essex's gentle grip and running out into the yard much quicker than a child of her size ought to be able to. "Let's gooooo!"
Cobalt was busily stuffing the beanie babies back into her bag before trying to catch up. She was the first to notice Shiro arrive. "What, another boy?." She said.
"We gonna get dem owtside!" Reikoff grinned in an excited whisper.
"Me already have aygunts owt dere fillin' up water bawoons! We gonna get dem!"
---
The two snickering boys wearing black finished the last water baloon and were gone from the nursery as quickly as they came.
---
"Hoowah!" Prikker thumped his chest, ready to get back at the mean dog.
((Prikker and Snikker...They're...No different. This tells me something...))
Io smiled at Kathode's taunts and took off after her at full speed, "You're on kitten!" She looked for a decent tree and found one in the middle of the yard. And anicent oak tree with plenty of branches and big leaves to provide shade, and places to hide. "Perfect." She said as she raced up to the tree and jumped up twice to get onto the first branch and start pulling herself up.
Shiro sat down and took another sip from his sippy cup. The files were loose. Only a few facts were known about Shiro. His name, fingerprints, his blood type and his past two offenses. The grand theft auto charge and a gambling charge. Nothing else was there.
As Essex led them outside, she gestured around.
"This is the backyard, kids. Now, I'll leave you to play out here - it's getting near lunch time."
It was awesome.
There was a tree fort on one side and a small playgroundish construct on the other, so there were effectively two forts. The playset also had five swings and a small slide. A sandbox was near the middle, and there was a large box full of outdoor toys.
Rosalind immediately sprinted towards the treehouse.
Nessie, on the other hand, stayed with Cobalt. The little girl didn't say much...but she seemed to be scowling less around the green-haired girl.
Japancakes.

Reikoff and the others shot off for the playground, as Prikker and Snikker spontaneously began to wrestle.
Marcus ran to the side and grabbed something first...
"Typical," Archlich snorted as he tossed down the file in disgust.
Putting his head in one hand, Archlich grabbed a pen and dragged the file back over to him.
"Ok, kid. I'm going to ask you some simple questions and all you have to do is answer them. You don't want to answer, tell me why. If you don't have a good reason I'll wait until you've answered the rest of the questions and then dig it out of your little head."
Sighing, Archlich picked up his head and rustled the file.
"First question: How old are you?
Do you have parents?
Do you know where they are?
Do you display any unusual talents?"
And so on and so forth.
OOC: Assume pauses between each question for an answer.

Mini-E, still in the same corner, was now smirking quite evilly. Instead of his textbook, in its place was a hell of a lot of technical parts, seemingly what he brought with him. He thought for a moment, and smirked even more evilly.
"Hehehe... I will show 'em... Heh... Showz 'em good, E..." he muttered to himself, constructing something rather small for the amount of tech.
"Don't call me kitten!" Kathode shouted back at Io. As Io jumped up to the first branch, Kathode had built up enough speed to run clear up the side of the tree trunk and grab the second highest branch before falling back down.
Io stared at Kathode, "Wow, that was cool!" She called as she pulled her way up the oak tree, "But as my mother says, can you stick it?" She called down as she pulled her way up. Her mother had always stressed that durring her acrobatics training. She leapt to the next branch and pulled herself further up and spying a tree fort up her. "Oh..." She said as she climbed towards it.
The little spider-bot which had been riding on Cobalt's head earlier was now peeking out from where it was sitting inside the front pocket of her blue overalls. She ran over to the toybox and began tossing them out in search of nothing in particular.
Kathode was not to be outdone and started climbing after Io. The small claws on her hands gave her extra grip on the bark of the tree.
Shiro smirked briefly before the questioning session. He nodded slightly. "I'm 6 and half."
"Um... no."
"Um... also no."
"Nope. I'm just really sharp and lucky."
And so on.
Experiment stopped his circling, and obviously had an air about him that was an obvious 'lecture-mode'.
"I am afraid you are misinformed. After all, all babies start out as male, and change into male or female from there. Unless through an operation, a girl can not change into a boy, not even from a 'Disease'. Now, if there WERE to be an operation, then-"
*SMACK*
A small device with the words 'My first PDA' jutted from the mini-hero's wrist, with a plastic hand proceeding to smack him over the head. "Shhhh! You are bein' stoopid!"
