The Meeting of the Minds [Semi-Open/Closed RP]
((Kaos has.. like many of your characters, really good sensors. He detected the island. I was pointing out it was the same one that E had found.))
"Sir!" A troop ran up to Kaos. "We detected several androids engaged with a small raft off the coast of the island."
"Darnit!" Kaos slammed his fists down on the desk. Their covert op was now screwed up. "Get the team in the air NOW !"
"Yes sir!"
Kaos quickly threw on his battle armor, power gloves, visor, helmet, and black cape. "Darn freaking tourists..." he grumbled as he marched to the hangar.
OOC: Oops, I thought Ginstar was suggesting the split-up route. Meh.
BIC: Toy shrugged and crossed his arms.
"Whatever. You're the leader of this little jaunt, Experiment. As long as I can make sure none of you get your [censored] prematurely whooped and I get my payday, I'm cool."
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
Experiment shook his head, walking back to the tunnel. "Okay, Dispenser? You really need to get off of your monetary high. Seriously."
((He was. Oo))
Essex smiled a little at Small Toy as he peered under the tablecloth. Upon his shielding her, she stood on her tiptoes and rested her elbows on the drone's shoulders as she listened. She much preferred being out of the way.
"Eh, it makes no difference to me neither." Ginstar said with a shrug. "Though from the looks of that simulation, maybe we'd have the best chance stickin' together after all."

Experiment nodded. "Okay, people, androids, and smoke-boy, let's get ready to move. According to the simulation, we should not lose anyone, until we get within about a mile. THEN, we may lose a battle drone or something, nothing important. So, who is driving/flying?"
((Actually, you answered the wrong question. I was asking about Kaos' deductive reasoning:
Step 1: he gets a letter from Experiment, asking him to come help with...something unusual.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: he goes to the island to kill Experiment.
As you may notice, there's a step missing there. I wanted to know what that step was.))
Allen raised an eyebow, then burst out laughing. When he and his troopers finally got a hold of themselves again, he continued, leaning closely to the drone, and almost whispered, "Okay, you're really calling your doomsday plan Doomsday 2.0 here? Not that it's unoriginal or anything..."
The two troopers chuckled amongst themselves, one whispering to the other, "Why do I suddenly get the feeling we're dealing with a video-game obsessed nerd here?"
"Not sure." the other hushed back, "Sounds like this guy doesn't have all his teeth where they should be."
"...but I guess that's not why we're here." Allen went on, "Now I'm asking you nicely - please stop evading the question and gimme something to work with. If it's none of our busines, we'll just be on our way..."

"My Phantasm can carry me," Hal said, "but I won't be able to carry anyone else too easily. I'm not really that strong. . . sorry if I'm not much use. . ."
The android huffed, before continuing. "Fine. Unusual? I suppose you COULD call it that... One of my... Uh... Let us say, 'Vehicular Reinforcement Droppers' managed to strike something while flying over Paragon City. It took me an hour to fix that dent!"
The drone, suddenly aware of what he was saying, cleared 'his' throat. "Ahem... Anyway... The REASON I named the project 'Doomsday 2.0' is not because of some video game. It is the name of someone I very much wish to destroy... Do you know a hero by the name of 'Experiment 2.0'?"
"Hey!" shouted Mini Bot. "I think the battle drones are important!"
As the drone hopped about in anger, Toy flipped up his wrist pad and tapped in a few commands.
"I'm sending you guys back up to the base," he said by way of explanation as Combat Toy suddenly vanished with a flash. "I'll call you back down when we get to the sheild."
"Have it your way boss," Large Toy sighed as it vanished.
"He always does," added Block Bot sadly as it too was teleported away.
"I am soooo not expenda-!" Mini Bot got off before it was gone.
"That's that then," Toy said, dusting off his hands. "And I can fly but I'd prefer to stick with the group. Kind of lessened without my bots, you know."
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
Experiment sighed. "Okay, so, we have the plan mainly worked out... Apart from the 'Getting in' part of it. So, Hal can be taken in by Phantasm, Toy can fly, I am guessing Ginstar can fly also... Perhaps you could carry a non-flyer? I have jets... Ess can fly... Now that I think about it, who here does not have some way of flying?"
Ginstar shook his head.
"No go, amigo. I run, that's about it."
Essex blinked at the disappearance of Small Toy, and pulled up the tablecloth, wearing it around her shoulders as a sort of cloakish cape.

"Ah... Okay, okay... No problem... Uh... You don't weigh much, right?" 2.0 tried calculating how much he could carry with the jets he currently had. "Damn... These were designed for self travel... Hey, Ess, can you carry your, uh... brother?"
"I'll carry him."
"I could probably carry someone too," Toy said. "As long as they can handle a constant five gees. Seven, if I have to maneuver."
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
((Devious, Step 2 is Kaos locks onto energy. Figuring that Paragon City doesn't like him he decides to not see 2.0 and is about to send him and his men to the island to find out whatever is making that energy. If anyone's wondering no he would not be all that happy to see Experiment and his jolly men...))
Static smiled. "I can fly, but tank here can't. And no I can't caryr him and yes he ways a lot."
Workout Man resented that comment. "Dude, I... uh..." the tanker was short on ideas. "Uhh... super speed myself and.... uhh...."
"In other words, we need someone to carry the big tank."
"Five G's? I'm there!" Ginstar grinned, walking over to Toy. "Sweet, I'm set. Ess, you ready?"
"Just one minute." Essex murmured, running diagnostics on her busters. "I want to make sure I'm at full capacity. We don't know what's going to happen at the disappearing point and I don't want to take any risks."
Looking over to Expiriment, the little android walked up to him, removing the tablecloth from around her shoulders and holding it up to him.
"Thank you for letting me borrow this." she said with a smile.

Experiment smiled down at the android. "Keep it. Knowing you, you will most likely want one again sooner or later, and I doubt whoever owns that island would appreciate an awesome heal-bot like you taking their tablecloths."
Experiment ran this through his mind. "...Hmm... You know, I didn't realize how ODD that sounded... Well, yeah... If you don't wanna keep it, I guess I can put it on top of Kevin... It would muffle the snoring."
Indeed, Kevin was starting to snore rather loudly, mostly because of the artificial sleep caused by Experiment's interchangable poison...
"We going?" asked Toy Dispenser as he started tapping his fingers on his leg.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
((Hurmm, I seem lost here too.))
Experiment nodded toward Toy Dispenser, his serious demeanor finally returning. "Okay. Let's get moving. It shouldn't take too long to get to the area if we fly damn fast, but the longer we wait here, the longer it will take to get there."
He hit a switch on his PDA, the FF Generator that was floating around floating toward 2.0. Experiment activated his jets, flying right out of the tunnel, which seemed to last for quite a while.
"This will lead us right to the area where my drones are. We should be able to get through their defenses. Hurry up, people!" his voice verberated through the tunnel.
"Fleetingly." Allen replied with the same nonchalant smile, his troopers readying themselves so covertly only the most expert of tacticians could even hint at what they were doing, "Okay, so you want to off your arachnemesis goody-two-shoes, and that means..."
You-know-who's feed suddenly went black as a huge bkacl cloud seemed to simply leap out of the raft and onto the drone, completely severing the line.
Moments later, the automaton was gone, the raft now covered in a thick black fog. It started moving again, splashes echoing as it hopped over the waves and on course for the island...

"...Ugh... Damn. Fine. Begin default destruction process. Send out units 132, 123, and 213 to attack incoming craft. Set blasters to 'Utterly Destroy'."
"Command accepted. Beginning destruction Phase Alpha."

*PFOOM*
*PFOOM*
Three battle drones released from the island's facility, returning to the First Contact drone's last known position. Their sensors missed the raft entirely from the shadow over them, and proceeded to the point the other drone was left at.
"No enemy craft noticed. Please input new command."
"...Damn."
"Input new command..."
"Sir we've locked onto the drones, no sight of the raft."
"Fire on the drones, Light and Dark beam batteries on full."
Kaos smlied. The Osprey Helicopter had been modified. The light and dark beams were designed for maximum damage. As the batteries fired on the drones, he stood in the cockpit, watching the screens show the drones. "Fox one..."
All three drones beeped, recieving new orders. "Okay, two of you patrol the island for the incoming boat. The turrets don't seem to be doing much. Unit-123, you will find out what the hell that other ship is doing here, then disable it and bring it in for spare parts."
The drones flew in different directions, avoiding the blasts totally. Two of them rejoined and headed back to the base to patrol, while the other flew to the ship readily.
Experiment looked between Hal and Essex, then to Ginstar and the Toy's. "Ugh... Two seperate plans of action... I hate it when it gets down to that..."
He stood for a moment thinking. "Damn... Okay, okay, I think I have an idea."
He ran across the port to a large computer. He tapped rapidly, showing a virtual island, with a fully visible defense shield.
"Okay... This took about three weeks to make, so don't mock me for the lack of coolness."
A jumpy, glitchy version of everyone appeared on the screen, just outside the field's range, along with the FF generator.
"This is what I have been using to keep my drones slightly out of range of the main shielding. Now, a teleport could work..."
*Taptaptap*
There was a flash as everyone on the screen disappeared...
...And a mass of blood, tech and bone feel from the shield morbidly.
"...Ah... Okay then... Let us try seperating."
*Taptap*
The figures seperated all over the shield in different formations. They entered safely enough with their designated defenses, but blasts originated from an invisible spot not far from the island, meaning turret fire. It took a while, but it eventually knocked everyone out of the air. If not dead, then nearly dead.
"Damnit... Sticking together?"
*Tap*
The seperate defenses that were available to everyone surrounded the group, letting them pass the shield. Blasts started firing at the mass, but their defenses allowing them closer. However, the group suddenly disappeas when nearing the mass of land.
"...Uh... I sorta don't know what is out there, so... Yeah... How about swimming?"
"Knock it off, E." muttered PDA.
"Okay, fine. We should get moving, then. The longer we sit here like this, the more likely it is that we will lose whoever is on that island."

"Doomsday 2.0?" replied the voice, confused, "How the hell did you know the name of my operation?"
