While the other three fighters were keeping the mech busy, Jase sank into the shadows once again, reappearing at Ian’s side. “Hey, you gotta get up,” he said as he leaned in a little closer and shook him by the shoulders.

Ian jolted awake and shook his shaggy head. “Wha-what happened?”

“No time, we gotta keep on our toes or we’ll lose the edge in this fight.”

With a bit of a struggle, Ian got to his feet and dusted himself off. He looked around the stone column to see the rest of the combatants fighting the giant robot but it kept repairing itself. Apparently it wasn’t trying to fight back at the moment. “Ok, when it starts repairing again I’ll try to keep it busy and you-”

“That won’t work. It has two transmitters; one in the back and the other in its chest. If you destroy one of them the other will repair the whole mech and the damaged transmitter.”

“Okay, then I’ll just destroy the one in the back and when you see the other one pop up take it out. Simple enough.” Ian then charged the mech, his bokken in hand ready to pounce. When Ian was in range, the mech turned and took aim. “GAMBLER’S CUT!” Ian split off in three directions, straight forward and both sides. After a second or two of observation, the mech could not figure out which to shoot at so started spraying energy blasts at all three. The Ian that went straight and the one on the right were hit but the shot passed right through them and they faded from view.

“You need to check your aiming program,” Ian laughed as he managed to pass under him. “GAMBLER’S CUT TO STING OF THE WASP!” This time, he split into two and both struck at the left leg with mighty bludgeoning blows, “Double Strike.” The impact was great enough to knock the thick heavy leg up, forcing the mech to balance on one leg. On instinct, the person controlling the mech remotely began spraying missiles all over the arena as it tried to regain its balance.

"Shinae, you know you can't take all three of us, and I don't want to fight another hero. Just surrender?" Burning wasn't lying. He'd much rather fight the Rikti than another hero.

Star Scout had not expected Shinae to try and intercept its gauntlets...but then, it had taken a gamble. Unable to change its trajectory, Scout and Shinae collided in mid air, her agile strike connecting to the broad part of the robots energy gauntlets. This halted Scout's forward motion, landing the robot on the ground, crouched and ready as Shinae used the contact to springboard off of and land, still eyeing her three opponents warily...

Scout noticed the impact had dented the rim of its left gauntlet. Well, one more dent to hammer out later...

"I'm not going to give up, even if we're both heroes, its not like I'm going to die..." Shinae equipped her sword, and charged at SS. Right in his face she phased threw him, and unphased behind Chertak. She began making quick strikes at her Rikti opponent.

When the human charged him, Chertak had a pretty good idea about what was going to happen next. So in order to end this fight in some short amount of time, he decided to take the fall, hopefully bringing the hero with him.

The instant Shinae phased to go through him, Chertak reached down to his belt and pulled off a small rectangle. As soon as it was removed, the device activated, sending off loud telepathic shouts of how many seconds were left until it exploded. Concealing the bomb in his hand, Chertak turned to block the first sword blow with his rifle.

The third blow sent his weapon flying and the fourth thudded into the chest of his battle armor. But by then the bomb was about to explode and Chertak extended his hand out toward Shinae.

The bomb went off, most of its force directed toward Shinae, enough to vaporize her body normally but currently only enough to knock her out, while enough energy went into Chertak's suit to seriously stun the Rikti.

Burning readied himself to attack Shinae in case she had phased, already running forward to beat her the same way he did Hal.

*Boom*...*Thud* Shinae was bouncing and rolling across the ground. She recovered, slowly and said to the trio, "Good match guys..." *Thud* She collapsed, she had finally lost...

Chertak stumbled a few steps and then toppled over, thick purple arcs of some form of electricity coursing over his armor. Upon closer examination, it appeared that the armor took damage closer to what would have been the normal case, maybe because the things protecting the gladiators were not given as high a priority as the gladiators themselves.

So right now the glove that had held the bomb was completely blown away and the revealed hand looked slightly charred. As the suit malfunctioned, Chertak twitched every now and then. But he wasn't damaged enough to warrent a medi-port, which was beginning to annoy the Rikti through the haze of pain. He disliked being in such an embarrassing posture.

Burning grabbed Chertak's unsinged hand and pulled him to his feet before heading to the exit.

(OOC: I did tell you I placed a lot of emphasis on the mediporters. Technically speaking you were teleported out before you even hit the ground.
Also soviet: if Reikoff is the master, he can't fight. Ever. Gladiators can't enter the arena without a Master sponsor, so unless Reikoff gets another Master to sponsor him, which is against the rules, he can't even physically enter the arena.)

Annette's portrait appeared on a large screen overhead.
"The match is over and the winner is clear! Show your appreciation for Chertak, Star Scout, and Burning Brawler!" she announced, smiling widely.

(OOC: OK, someone from that team is now the GM and is unable to enter the next 'official' match, but is free to enter exhibition matches. I'll let you guys decide. Whoever it is picks the next scenario and is free to manipulate the limiter, so long as you remember NO lethal force.
And to clarify the bullet thing: the kinetic limiter doesn't allow things over a certain damage index. So a bullet made of lead will hurt as much as a bullet made of rubber. Naturally, this makes high powered rifles completely useless compared to other guns except for accuracy improvement.)

((So am I suppose to be the GM of the mech fight? I kind of let everyone be GM in the battle because I haven't won anything. I made the means of victory pretty clear too so teamwork will be required to defeat the mech.))

Burning Brawler walked into the room, and sat down.

Not a second later, The Opportunist entered the room.

"Well done, well done. An entertaining fight, especially watching your obliterating that one hero."

"Shut it you old-"

"Now, now. Rough language will only get your daughter killed. It would be such a shame if the safeguards in her next match should somehow deactivate."

Pstorm glared angrily. "I can handle myself."

"Of course you can, child. Now rest up, gladiators, the next match will be starting any minute."

The Opportunist left the room, and walked down the hall. He entered a room to see it filled with jars and cannisters of things best not described.

Blightlord turned for a moment to see who had entered, before turning back to the table covered in ingredients.

"I assume you watched the match and that you learned what you needed to?" asked The Opportunist.

"All I learned was that defeating those pathetic heroes and the Rikti will be an easier task than I had originally thought. Now if that is all, leave me," said the undead master, bottling a tube and placing it in a pouch on his belt.

"Remember, here I am your master," said The Opportunist.

Blightlord turned and loaded a potion into his launcher in one quick movement.

He crossed the room and placed it at the old man's throat. "No one controls me. You are simply a tool for my revenge on Burning Brawler and his pathetic family. Now leave me."

"Wouldn't it be a shame if the owners of this fine arena were to learn of how you plan to sabotage their systems?"

Two Grave Knights appeared a second later, swords crossed around the Opportunist's neck.

The undead master glared at the old man. "Is that a threat?"

"No. It's a promise."

And he disappeared.

(OOC: No...sorry
exhibition matches don't have GMs, only official ones do.
exhibition matches basically only have the "no lethal force" rule)
