OOC: Mortal Kombat: FINISH HIM!

BIC: Underneath his helmet, Chertak's eyes narrowed as his stance shifted slightly. Keeping his sword up, Chertak fell back a bit until he could talk to both the robot and Burning without being overheard.

"Suggestion: Robot: Engage primary melee combat. Mage and myself: Open fire: When target appears. Query: Understanding."

Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.

Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.

NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.

"Yes," said Burning, readying to attack.

"Damn Rikti, why were they made to talk like that? It gets pretty annoying." Shinae said to herself. "Ok, I'm ready when you guys are." Shinae said to the trio, hoping to convince them to attack.

Star Scout took no time to respond, simply charging Shinae and throwing an energy-assited punch right for her head. If she was too stubborn to give up, there was nothing for it...

Meanwhile in Annette's private room, Tetsuko and Ryuji were watching the ensuing battle while El Guapo Grande slept.
"Oooooo I SO want to take that Rikti apart and see what makes him tick! It'd be...." Tetsuko started to drool uncontrollably.
"Not all Rikti are robots, Nomura..." Ryuji said.
"So?" she stated.

Cuore gave up, figuring no one was in. 'Well, with two gladiators in the ring, the others had to be somewhere', he thought. Flying to a wall terminal Cuore typed in some commands to see if there was any activity in other rooms besides gladitor rooms and the arenas themselves. Well, there was some activity in the restrooms, but that obviously wouldn't do...aha! The ballrooms seemed to have some activity. 'Well, nothing to do but start from the beginning,' he thought. Flying down the halls towards the ballrooms, he wondered which one (if any of them) would have the master he sought.

((Actually, Star-Gazer was in the room. He was the talking light watching the 1st match. I haven't responded in a while cause I haven't had much time lately.))

Shinae easily dodged the energy punch and grabbed Star Scout's wrist and threw him back towards the other two. ((In this stance she dodges, counters, and parries and such real easy, but the damage of her attacks is halved, I just had to state that, I don't wanna be god moding on anyone))

Star Scout realized it was far too slow to catch Shinae that way, and as she grabbed its gauntlet and threw...he moved all of two steps backward. Assuming a boxer's stance, Star jabbed once and was easily parried by Shinae's swift movements. Trying to caluclate an opening, Scout kept its guard up while testing hooks and jabs of various speeds, none connecting with the agile woman. If nothing else, Scout should be able to keep her busy while its allies pressed the offensive, and its massive gauntlets should help parry any ripotse...

Shinae flipped over Star Scout and kicked him in the back, She backed up, watching everyone around her, now being surrounded by the trio...

Posted

Star Scout was letting out a left hook as it realized Shinae was no longer there...and a kick connected solidly against its back. Turning, it tried to figure out how it could connect a blow to help end the fight, realizing there was little its fighting techniques could accomplish right now...

Moving so that Star Scout was in no danger of being caught accidently, Chertak brought up his rifle and took a shot at Shinae.

The shot caught Shinae off gaurd as she dodged so narrowly it cut off some of her hair...

Star Scout saw an opening, and hoping to take advantage of Shinae's movement threw a mighty energy punch at her. The robot wasn't sure if it would connect at all, but it was the best shot at Shinae it had had the entire fight, and better a missed shot than wasting a chance...

*Boom* Shinae was sent flipping and rolling across the ground from the energy punch. Shinae got up and said to SS, "That was a good one, but trust me, I can handle energy."

Posted

As soon as Scout threw the punch, Burning placed his hands on the ground.

All around Shinae erupted in fire, leaving no easy escape, the smoke gagging and choking her.

Star Scout shrugged, and spoke in its mechanical voice, "Une touche pour une touche (('one touch for one touch', or like fencers, 'a contact for a contact')). However, this one advises you watch out...where there's smoke, there's fire."

Charging in, Scout hoped to end the fight while Shinae still had to deal with the smoke. A truly focused and solid contact to her head should knock her unconcious or at least send her reeling if it could connect before she got all dodgey again...

Chertak circled around Shinae. The moment he had a clear shot, he'd take it.

OOC: When he shoots is up to you. It'd probably happen if she dodged.

Shinae began to stop panicing and entered her perceptive stance((Increased hearing, sight, etc.)). She phase shifted out of the fire...*Bang* there was a bean bag((Or rubber bullet, I forgot what you guys use))flying at her. It seemed like it hit, but Shinae opened her hand to reveal she caught it. "I don't plan on losing, but if I do, I will defeat one of you before its over."

Posted

((Oh yeah, this stance has a -20% attack power con, to it. If this seems like godmoding though, just tell me, I'll lighten up a bit))

OOC: Chertak's gun doesn't shoot bullets. His uses a Rikti Repulsor Rifle, which shoots balls of energy. For the purposes of the damage limiter, the ball is slightly undercharged and mainly knocks you over.

Computing that Shinae was phased, Star Scout registered that she was still actually standing on the ground...as if it supported her weight. With nary a second calculation, it lept skyward to come crashing down, energy fists first on Shinae's position. It knew it would phase through her, but the robot wasn't aiming for the woman...but the ground beneath her. Hoping the mighty impact would unbalance and possibly distract her enough to make her tangilbe, Scout knew it was "playing a deuce and hoping it was wild instead of a two" in gambler's parlance...but then, its comrades HAD been teaching it to gamble...
