Millenium Arena! (Open RP)
(OOC: Vanquish the thugs any way you choose, once all eight are gone I'll post teams)
Burning Brawler walked into the arena. He saw the others readying to eliminate the thugs.
Flames coursed down to his hands as Brawler raised them to the sky.
It began to rain fire down onto where the thugs stood.

"You all know what you're here to do," Bruno said to his assembled gladiators. "Now go out and do it. Chertak, you're up first."
The Rikti nodded stiffly and exited the locker room.

Chertak stepped out onto the field and quickly surveyed his targets; eight humans with no discernable super powers. As a human would say, it was a piece of cake. Drawing his rifle, Chertak took aim at one of the humans and opened fire.

Noting the rain of fire taking place and the panicked thugs, MK-1 gathered the time had come to show off for the crowd. Taking a second to compile his "WWNHMD" routine (("What would Neimand have me do?")), he decided the best course of action. Crouching low, Star Scout MK-1 used all the hydraulic strength in its legs to leap heaven ward....
...and land with a discernable "THUD!" amidst the thugs and fire, a meteor from the sky, one fist aiding impact and the other raised for a blow against the nearest thug.
Hallucinogen materialized out of nowhere, his Phantasm blasting the thugs alongside him. Meanwhile, Hal was concentrating on giving himself invulnerability. . .
Burning saw the others join in, and heard the crowd cheering. He decided he might as well have fun with this fight, since they are just criminals, and flew over to the group.
He placed his hands on the ground, and stole the heat from it. Ice materialized around the thugs, sending them slipping and sliding across the patch.
He heard a few laughs as he backed up, slinging two fireballs into the thugs midst.

Reacting quickly, Scout lept lightly to re-foot itself on the icepatch, and deftly intercepted a thug sent flying by the Phantasm in mid-air...the fist sent the thug off the patch, but he certainly wasn't getting back up. Seeing most of the thugs flailing to stand up, it decided to go after the one that seemed to not be slipping...who was surprisingly close. A light tap on the shoulder got his attention, and a quick left jab downed the burning thug. Scout realized it was at the edge of the ice patch now, away from the other thugs, and began to trun around deliberatly so as not to slip...
Chertak muttered to himself and grabbed a passing thug. With a tug and a push, the Rikti slammed the human into the ground and then planted his foot on him. A second thug reeled past from some other attack and Chertak reached out and slammed his rifle into the human, knocking him up into the air and then down into unconsciousness.

Burning watched the Rikti cautiously as he leaned back and aimed his arm at a fleeing thug.
A beam of fire shot out and downed the running thug.
He turned to the group and tossed a few more fireballs.

Hal's Phantasm sent two thugs flying with a blast. Hal finished giving himself invulnerability, and just to amuse himself, ran after one of the thugs and sent him flying again with a well-placed kick. He was not very good at that; he rubbed his foot afterwards, regardless of the invulnerability.
Notcing only two thugs left, Star Scout watched as they fell over, burning from the lasting effects of the fireballs. Hearing the roar of the crowd over the show, Star Scout strode over to the one that kept struggling to get up and kneeled down. A well placed "konk" fnished that, with a ripple of laughter from the audience. Standing slowly, Scout waited in a boxer's stance for what might come...
Burning ran up to the last thug, and grabbed him by the jacket.
He zipped up as high as the arena would allow and hovered there.
He let the thug go.
He screamed as he fell, certain he was going to die.
But Burning swooped in and grabbed him at the last second.
When the hero set him on the ground, the thug fainted.

Shinae (actually pronounced Sheena with the i having the ee sound and the e being silent) began laughing while she said to Burning, "That was a good one, anyway, hi I'm Shinae, Suki's younger sister, she said she knew you from somewhere...anyway, nice to meet you, and good luck during this match."
"Well the point was to entertain these people," he said.
Burning looked around. "Seems like all the thugs are down. See you later."
He began to head back to the room.

The door wouldn't open.
The thugs disappeared in a light, the teleporters going off.
Each combatant received instruction:
Team 1:
Star Scout
Burning
Chertak
Team 2:
Shinae
Hallucinogen
(OOC: I counted five, if i'm wrong lemme know...i split them to 2 and 3, with hallucinogen counting as 2 basically because of phantasm)
"Statement: The real fight begins now," said Chertak as he pivoted toward Hallucinogen and fired a blast from his rifle.

((crap i gtg, someone has to control my char for me or somethin))
Scout assumed a boxing pose and noticed the Rikti's brusque manner. In a mechanical voice, it responded "So it does, and strange bedfellows it brings." Hearing the burst of the rifle, Scout watched, waiting to respond to the opposing team's action...
Hal gestured silently with his hand. As his Phantasm appeared, he disappeared.
"What? Oh come on!"
Burning wasn't ready to fight heroes. He wouldn't mind fighting a Rikti but...
He shook his head sadly as his hands lit. He took careful aim at the Phantasm and let a beam of fire loose.

Hal had been waiting for this. Just as Burning let down his guard by attacking, Hal loosed a blast of light at him, hurtling towards him to follow up with a physical strike.
Burning was knocked back, but hovered an inch off the ground.
He could now see Hal coming, and wasted no time stealing the heat from his path, making it a slippery ice.
He followed up by forming a wall of flames in front of him, for the other hero to crash through.

OOC: Hey PLague, why don't you control Shinji fighter until he gets back.
BIC: Seeing that the flame wielding hero had the other hero well in hand, Chertak turned his attention toward the female with the sword.
"Order: Ally: Construct: Eliminate: Illusion: Construct," he said as he put his rifle away and pulled out his massive Rikti Warblade. "My target: Female. Destruction: Assured."
Taking a few steps forward, Chertak bent his knees and jumped through the air, bringing the sword down on Shinae with a overhead blow.

Star Scout MK-1 recognized a good tactic when it heard one, but orders from a Rikti? Well, they could sort it out later...Scout was sure Neimand would help set up a brawl if it asked. Jumping forward, Star Scout landed in front of the strange energy signal, unsure of what to do. The old adage "fight fire with fire" passed through Star's memory banks...so it decided why not hit the construct with his own energy? Back to boxing mode in the split second it took from landing to standing, Star tested the waters with a simple punch of energy...
Star Scout MK-1 took in its surroundings, sizing up the competition. It recognized that Neimand probably wanted him to use what he had learned of boxing and leave his energy aided attacks to a minimum...a confirmed data point: lethal force was a no. Just as this assesment was made there was a bright flash...Scout turned and saw the source, a man concentrating with a strange, floating energy pattern floating near him. Making a note, Scout began to release itself from more structured programming and let itself drop into practiced improvision routines. Assuming a traditional boxing stance, it began advancing towards the thugs, keeping track of the other battlers.
