Millenium Arena! (Open RP)
"Oh no you don't," said Burning.
He held out both hands and made a triangle with his palms. He muttered an incantation, and soon the world became more clear.
He faintly saw Hal, and quickly let loose a flurry of fiery blasts.

Hal's Phantasm grabbed hold of him and pulled him toward Burning Brawler, taking the blasts for him. It managed to send one blast of light at Burning before it took too much damage and evaporated. Jumping from behind it, Hal fired a blast of his own.
Burning gasped in pain as the first blast hit him.
When the second came at him, he quickly rolled to the side, and let loose another flurry of fire.

With no Phantasm to guard him, the blast of fire hit Hal head on. He got to his feet, smoking even more than usual. Hal began using his radiation to heal himself of the worst of the damage; meanwhile, he backed away, summoning an army of phantoms to make it difficult to see which was him.
When you can't tell which one to hit, hit 'em all. Burning raised his hands to the sky, and hundreds of small fireballs began raining down on top of Hallucinogen and his decoys.
Brawler ran at them, throwing explosive fireballs every few steps, and breathing a large flame as he got close.

(OOC: I'm not gonna control Shinae because I'm not too clear on her capabilities...If shinji would PM me this stuff...)
OOC: Well, it should say on the post where Shinji outlined his gladiators. And the fact that I'm asking you to take control of Shinji's character is because he isn't here. Thus, you can't get a pm from him.

(OOC: LOL obviously...hmmm...just a sec...)
(OOC: OK here it goes...for the sake of argument I'm giving Shinae a sakabatou AKA reverse blade sword.)
Shinae was able to phase through Burning Brawler's rain of fire, and sprinted towards him, beginning an overheard slash aiming for his shoulder.
Hal snapped his now heavily singed fingers, and his Phantasm reappeared, fully reformed and heading straight for Burning. There was no way he could survive much longer against this assault, so there was no point in doing anything but attacking.
Star Scout had trouble computing the Phantasm's sudden action, and turned quickly. Seeing the Rikti close on Shinae, Shinae closing on Brawler, the decoys, the rain...there. Recognizing that the floating decoy was a threat but not the source, Scout tried to make out which energy signature was really Hal...but the four all read the same radiation spike. Charging in, Scout used its sound projector to replay the sound of a rushing train projected forward to try and grab attention, and spun around whirling its mighty energy-aided gauntlets amidst the decoys, hoping to knock out or at least distract the source...
Hal saw Star Scout coming after him and swore under his breath. Didn't they have the courtesy not to attack him when he was already in trouble? Not that he had any such courtesy. . . Hal sighed and sent a blast of light at Star Scout. Better to reveal himself that way than by getting clobbered.
He hoped no one would realize that one more good hit would take him out. . . Hopefully the others were busy with his teammate, but he did't like the look of Star Scout's gauntlets.
While jumping through the air, Scout had realized too late that its energy diffusion systems hadn't been active since they hadn't been needed for battling the thugs. 01000011011100100111010101100100! The blast hit dead center and knocked the robot out of the air about two feet from the decoys. Knowing that yielding any more would be a mistake, Scout stood and activated all defense systems, unable to act for those precious seconds it took for the power-up cycles to complete. At least the chasis didn't appear to have been damaged noticably...
Knowing that the best way to not get hit was probably to keep attacking, Hal ran after Star Scout. Raising his hands, he fired a powerful electromagnetic pulse at the robot.
Scout's sensor visor registered a buildup of electromagnetic energy...normally, this wouldn't be a problem because of its diffusion systems, but they weren't active yet! Two timers counted down in Scout's processor, one for his systems to finish integrating, and one for the incoming pulse. While to a normal human this would have registered in only zero point six eight seconds' time, to a robot that viewed the world with nano-second processors, it seemed like an eternity...the countdown's both hit zero within a microsecond of each other. Scout found itself unable to utilize its servomotors...it was stuck until auto-reintegration could commence, and all the robot could do was watch and store the lesson learned in its databanks as it waited to be able to move. It would take approximately one five point three three three three three seconds for its systems to overcome the surge, and so much could happen in that time...
Hal fired another blast of light at the robot. He wished his Phantasm could help him out, but he had sent it to attack Burning Brawler. . . and his illusions were useless against a robot without a biological mind.
Burning rolled and gasped as the blade cut his arm. It wasn't deep, thanks to the fiery shield around him, but it still stung. He hoped the blade wasn't poisoned as he let loose another flurry of blasts at the oncoming Phantasm.
"I thought you had her!" he shouted at the Rikti, before muttering a quick spell and fading into invisibility.

OOC: I thought I had her, what with the jumping into the air bringing sword down on her head thing.
BIC: Mentally cursing, Chertak sprinted forward toward the back of Shinae and tried to tackle her to the ground. She hadn't displayed the characteristics of a super with super strength and so would be at a disadvantage if pinned.

(OOC: Sakabatou doesn't cut, it's a reversed blade katana with the edge on the inside. Non-lethal in otherwords. Though it does break bones)
Chertak would be alarmed to find he passed right through Shinae.
Chertak led with his shoulder and hit the ground rolling, no easy feat in the cumbersome battle armor he wore. Springing up to his feet, Chertak swung his sword around in a defensive posture, ready to block the human's movement. He knew that the human wouldn't be able to keep up her intangibility for too long and as soon as it dropped he would move in for the kill.

Shinae ran full bore at the Rikti, phased through him, and made another run at Burning.

(OOC: then she's running at air )
Hal's Phantasm swept him out of the way just in time, only marginally slowed by Burning's earlier fire blast. Hal flapped his now flaming hand frantically until it went out, panting. He and his Phantasm disappeared again; evidently he needed to devise a better strategy.
