The Opportunist seemed to appear out of nowhere as he he opened the door to the last room.
"I trust my assassins are feeling well?"
Void Brawler nodded, all he received from Ruby was a shrug.
"Ruby Blade, may I speak to you outside for a moment?"
The assassin sheathed his sword and walked out, leaving a confused Void Brawler.
When the two were outside, The Opportunist shut the door.
"Did the boy see the match?"
"No. I told him he should be training, not watching petty fights."
"Good, good. Keep up the good work and perhaps I shall enlist your own nemesis once one of the others fails."
The assassin worked hard to suppress a grin at the thought of finally ending that damnable archer. He re-entered the room. "What did he want?" asked Void.
"Nothing. We shall continue training." Ruby Blade drew his sword, and Void Brawler sighed, wrapping his hands in shadows.
Outside, The Opportunist was smiling. "These pathetic worms are so easily manipulated..."

"Welcome," Enrique said, appearing out of nowhere at the head of a long table in his quarters. All his gladiators were seated around the table. "While we wait for the next match, let us review tactics."
"Who are you?" Hal demanded, before anyone else could speak. "What do you want? Answer me!"
Enrique ignored him. "Schizophrenias. You do remember our previous discussion?"
Schizo leered at him. "Certainly. I seem to remember that I was supposed to follow some stupid rules. Thing is, what if I forgot that I wasn't allowed, say, to sabotage another contestant beforehand. . ."
"Then I will destroy you," Enrique said. "I insist that we play fairly, even if no one else does."
"At least you possess that virtue," Saint Gabriel said. He was dressed in a blue and white robe, and was very handsome, his skin smooth and dark.
Moonscribe did not speak; he appeared to be looking at something that was not there, and typing on an invisible keyboard; he was tall and thin, with fair skin and glasses that somehow always reflected light off the lenses, so that his eyes were concealed.
Super Roby, however, leaped into the air, knocking over the table and sending Gabriel to the ground. "When do we get to fight? Super Roby wants to destroy evil! FEAR THE MIGHT OF SUPER ROBY, BRINGER OF THE APOCALYPSE!"
"Shut up," Enrique saids calmly. "You will have a chance to fight, Roby, do not worry. Moonscribe. I do not trust Schizo. You are an advocate of fair play. Why don't you rewrite a few natural laws. Make it impossible for any of us to cheat."
"WHAT?!?" Schizo exclaimed, but Moonscribe nodded. "A difficult operation, but I suspect the reprogramming will only take a few hours."
"Excellent. Do so," said Enrique.
"Your wish is my command, Pharoah," Moonscribe said, getting up to leave.
"That was a load of crap," Bruno spat as Chertak walked into the small wing given to Bruno's gladiators. "You should've taken that [censored] down with one hand tied behind your back. Now go get yourself cleaned up and your armor fixed. And tell those damn engineers of yours to have you ready in four hours. Otherwise I'll cut their [censored] heads off and get a new pair of dumb [censored] Rikti."
Chertak's hands clenched and for a moment it looked as though he was about to pound the cyborg's head into the ground. Then Chertak seemed to remember something and his shoulders slumped.
"Order: Acknowledged. Objective: Repair and refit. Goal: Regain favor," Chertak said unemotionally as he walked away to his room.
"Damn [censored] Rikti," Bruno said. "At least they fight good."
"A properly inspired soldier fights much better than one that is browbeaten into submission," remarked Wolf Spider Warrior from where he leaned against the wall behind Bruno.
"Ah shut yer trap," Bruno said without turning around. "I've got what I need to make you [censored] fight for me and that's all I need. Now shut up and get ready, you're going up next."
Wolf tapped his red Wolf Spider helmet and smiled.
"I'm already waiting," he said.

(OOC: Either you, burning, or star scout's player (sorry forgot the name >_< I'd volunteer to do it again but I doubt my gladiators would stand to be barred from another official match
And have we had any developments in the battle against the mecha?)

"Well," Enrique said, after Moonscribe had left. "Who shall enter the next fight? I could choose myself, but letting you squabble would be more entertaining."
"Who cares," said Schizo, sulking.
"ROBY WANTS TO FIGHT! ROBY WANTS TO FIGHT!" Super Roby screamed at the top of his lungs, which were, since he was a cat, quite small.
"I have already fought," Hal said, "and on an unrelated subject, who are you and what do you want with us? I will continue to ask until you tell me."
Saint Gabriel shrugged. "I do not wish to fight, and I will not if I do not have to. My way is the way of peace, and meaningless combat mocks it, as I told you when you "convinced" me to join you as a gladiator."
"Very well," said Enrique, ignoring Schizo's sulking, Hal's question and Gabriel's insinuations. "Super Roby, you shall fight next."
"YAY! ROBY WINS!" yelled Super Roby, and fur from his body flew everywhere in concentrated bursts like missiles. There were great explosions of fur everywhere, and everyone was shortly spitting it out of their mouths and brushing it off of their clothes.
"It's a good thing Roby's fur grows back SUPER FAST!" Roby said, as his fur quickly returned to normal.
((Okay, lets see what I can do here.))
While off balance, the mech began firing several missiles from a launcher in its arm. Although he didnt anticipate this attack, Jase took advantage of it the moment he saw the launcher reveal itself. With the few exploding shuriken he had, Jase aimed right at one of the missiles before it could launch causing it to blow up the rest along with a large chunk of the arm. The mech staggered a few steps back and the transmitter in its back sent out a signal to the damaged parts of the hand and arm. Slowly, the arm began to reform on the ground and the whole time the transmitter was vulnerable.
With the only arm it had left, it tried to crush the nearest target; Reishi. With a heavy fist, it lunged down to crush the female swordsman but its blow was easily thwarted by her immense strength. Without a moments pause, a pair of cannon looking weapons protruded from its shoulders and fired disorienting repulsion bombs at Reishi. The bombs didnt hit her but the ground on both sides of her. Before she could recover from the punch or retrieve her sword, a powerful torrent of force erupted from the orbs as they made contact with the metal floor that propelled her back into one of the walls.
This is when ARC began its taunting and drew the mechs attention. ARC managed to get behind it and fire at the robot from behind. The blast from the grenade damaged the little transmitter that was blinking in the back which caused repair of the arm to stop. The arm was still on the ground and was almost back into one piece but still needed a bit more time. This is when the transmitter in the chest revealed itself and completed fixing the arm and started on the damage of the other transmitter.
The purple mech quickly spun its repulsion bomb cannons to its rear and fired a spray of smaller orbs that erupted in a wide area but with less force to slow down the speedy bot then charged the cannons and fired two larger balls of force that exploded into a huge bubble that even caused the hulking robot to take a step back as the blast nearly reach its chest. Now that ARC was off his feet, he unloaded a flurry of energy blasts at the jump bot.
While the mech was preoccupied, Ian stepped up to the fallen arm that had completed its repairs. Metal tentacles began to stretch out to reattach its arm but Ian had another idea. Hey, Barney Bot! You forgot something. STING OF THE WASP TO SOARING DRAGON! He made an upward strike at the downed fist with a pummeling strike, Sky Dragon Attack! Ian said with a smile, pleased with the results of that technique. The combination technique created enough force to send the own mechs fist flying at its head. It turned its head in time to see the fist coming and tried to quickly connect with its metal tendrils but was too late. The armored fist knocked the head up and off like a Rockem Sockem robot game. It still managed to reattach its arm though but now it had to reattach its head.
When it turned, Ian saw the chest transmitter open for attack. That must mean the other one in its back was damaged. This is my chance! Ian began swiftly charging in to get the mech while it couldnt see and strike the transmitter. He leapt from a stone pillar and launched himself at the mechs chest to stop it from ever repairing itself again. Unfortunately, technology is not one of Ians strongest subjects. He knew most robots that were human in anatomy had its sensors in the head but that isnt always true. In this case, it wasnt true entirely.
The repairing tendrils had independent sensors and quickly shot from the neck to grab the teen. Slightly surprised, he managed a few aerial maneuver to evade from being caught. He grabbed one and was about to spring toward the chest again when the charged repulsor cannons aimed at him. He couldnt manage to evade the large blast while tangled in the tendrils. The blast sent him flying back into the rock column with a loud crack. Before he could slide down and fall to the ground, he vanished; mediported.
Jase had been trying to get a clear shot, knowing if he missed he would gain the attention of the mech but the mech was using its blaster arm to shield itself while it used its repulsor cannons. Damn! he shouted when Ian was beat. He needed someone to draw its attention otherwise hed use too much of his own energy on ineffective tricks to protect himself. He faded into the shadows and reappeared next to Quixotica. Hey, um....Exotica or whatever. Are you okay? Jase asked, pulling her upright against the wall and trying to shake her awake.

Reishi's grin grew wider. She loved it when toys played rough.
Picking up her sword, she threw the tremendous sword with great strength towards the mecha's chassis.
If it hit, it would stay there. And it wasn't likely to miss.
((I'll choose my chars once we know whats going on.))
Shinae re-entered the room where the rest of the group was and sat down.
Shinji: Whoa....I didn't know you were that strong...
Shinae: But I still lost the match. Shinae said in a dissapointed voice
Shinade: But you were outnumbered the whole time.
Shinae: I know....
The Shade: Well...you still did well Shinae, but on to the next subject, theres a new match going on soon...one problem...I don't know the rules yet, when I do, I'll choose my fighters, until then....I dunno, just do somethin.

"HOOOOLYYYYYY CAAAAAAAARP!!!!" ARC screamed as it was alternately knocked around, knocked against the wall, and then shot almost to pieces.
The Jump Bot picked itself up of the ground and shook itself rapidly, like a dog trying to shake off water. Reaching down and grabbing its gun, ARC watched Ian get his [censored] kicked before it did something.
"Ok, kill the glowing thingie. Got it," ARC said as it zipped in front of the Mecha again. "How ya doin' lugnut?"
Arms suddenly spinning like a pair of hyperactive windmills, ARC built up a strong electrical attack that was aimed right at the glowing thing, which ARC could see because it was right underneath it.
"If ya can't stand the lightning, get the hell outta the storm!" ARC shouted as it jumped up into the air and slammed both electrically charged fists into the transmitter.

Jase watched from a distance near Quixotica as the other two preparing to attack. His mind reached out to Reishis to predict her next move. He examined ARCs quick movements and predicted what would happen next. Unji! Jase shouted as he drew his Unji blade, which was the faster and most accurate of the two, and threw it.
ARC had leapt and struck at the transmitter on the chest, promptly destroying it but doing little else to the surrounding armor as the energy just dissipated among the thick armor. As the jump bots fist connected, the metal tendrils from the neck quickly bound its legs together and wrapped around the punching arm. Chances are, the jump bot could easily escape if given the chance but Reishis blade was on a course to pierce the mech and ARC happened to be held in that path. Then, Unji came flying in to intercept the strike hitting with a bright flash of colliding metal. Jases Unji blade was indeed accurate but didnt have nearly enough power to knock the larger sword off course but instead of completely impaling the jump bot on its path to stabbing the mech, it severely grazed ARC slicing deep into its left arm.
Reishis blade continued on its course to stab the mech and piercing its armor. The repaired transmitter in the back peeped out from under its invulnerable armor and completed its repairs to its head, finally pulling it back between its armored shoulder but not before tossing its ineffective robot shield at Reishi. The mech then began unloading a barrage of energy bolts at ARC and Reishi. Jase melted back into the shadows, hoping he would draw little attention.

Reishi easily caught the shield, despite its size, and proceeded to use it as its function...a shield...against the incoming barrage.
Once the barrage finished, she threw the shield back at the mecha
"What the hell are you doing!?!" ARC shouted as the energy bolts slammed into it. "I'm a good guy!"
And then it was being thrown right back at the mecha. But at least this time it could do somethig about it.
Jump starting its thrusters, ARC pushed itself through the air so that it missed hitting the mecha and instead tumbled to the ground on the other side from Reishi. ARC immidiately sprung back to its feet, dashed over to grab its rifle from under the mecha, and then dashed over to Reishi, completely ignoring the giant machine.
"What the hell was that about you crazy [censored] girl?" ARC screamed as it waved its arms around in emphasis. Its left arm creaked audibly and charred bits of metal fell down from holes in its torso but ARC ignored those minor details. "You could have killed me! The only reason I'm still alive is because that hunk of scrap metal can't hit for beans! Now you better apologize right now or I'm never going to talk to you again."
ARC waited just a second for Reishi to begin her reply and then interuppted her.
"And I'll probably shoot at you too."

Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.

((when be the next official match?))
Reishi rolled her eyes.
"Don't take it personal," she said flatly, "Yer the least likely...thing...here to die if you get shot. With the limiter off, I have ta take what gets thrown at me. Literally."
Just then the Mecha tried another attack with its arm, meeting Reishi's fist instead.
This time, as Reishi stopped the punch the mech continued the attack by launching the fist from its wrist as if it was severed but a thick robotic tentacle kept it attached. It was like a double punch and she only stopped the first. The heavy mech fist would forced her to violently slam into one of the metal walls with a loud clank if she couldn't stop it again.
While Reishi and ARC were arguing, Jase took advantage of the mechas occupied attention and appeared behind it. He threw a single kunai knife that easily destroyed the transmitter before it could disappear under the armor again. Now the mech could no longer repair itself so it activated another one of its defenses. The mech began to hum as its thick armor became charged with energy which would allow it to repel even more powerful attacks.
Before the mech started to unloading energy and repulsion blasts at Rei and ARC, the shadows under them grew darker and thicker then they were engulfed in them. They emerged a good distance away from the giant robot, it still blasting away at nothing. You guys are the epitome of teamwork, Jase commented sarcastically. Anyway, I dont think it will be repairing itself anymore so now we just have to finish it off. If anyone wants to...I don't know...approach this with a bit of style speak now or forever hold your peace as we blindly charge in.

"I'm just tired of everybody I work with thinking me a meatshield," ARC grumbled. "And I'm not even made of meat!"
The Jump Bot then scracthed its head and looked at the electrically charged mecha.
"I can try to bleed of its charge or something by running really fast," ARC suggested. "I'll you guys'd have to do would be to not trip me up."

Reishi easily kicked the launched fist straight up into the air, angling it back towards the mecha. (OOC: If the connection is solid, the arm will fly up and probably snap off. If it's like wires, well, imagine kicking a soccer ball at someone and them kicking it straight into the air)
