So this is Rowr's piece...in progress. I've just removed the masking fluid. To ensure the pencil lines didn't rub away, I'd put a soft sepia stroke over them. Wee.

Step One of Rowr: Lots of time in the kitchen with QTIPS and paper towels...

How'd you get the watercolors from getting onto certain parts? It's very precise.

Normally I just do very very careful washes, but this time I cheated for time's sake and used masking fluid over parts I didn't want to get color on.

It's nice though. Very nice look for the sky you did.

Masking ftw!

oooOOOOooooo that's looking right good so far! Although, I'm not sure I understand how masking saves time. I tried that once... took me longer to mask the drawing, put the wash down... put the wash down again because the masking caused the brush to skip over an area, then remove the masking... of course I was using masking tape... so maybe this fluid you speak of might work... hum.

I can't wait to see this one finished. Yay for watercolor!

Sorry I've been absent as of recently, I'm running around getting things together before I go overseas for a few weeks. All commissions will have to be put on hold for that time period.

I will be gone from July 23th through August 11th.
