Official Victory Site
Don't listen to VooDoo...he's just a rambling hippie...heh
I love the site, and now I'm hooked on CityGameTracker et al as well! So much info, so little time!

Feature Update!
Added a Calendar option in the main navigation.
If you are logged in, you can add future events! Once entered, they will show up on the Calendar, and the next most recent 2 events will appear on the front page for maximum exposure!
Events can be added by clicking on the numerical date value of the calendar (as long as the date is not in the past), or by going to the Control Panel.
Also added a most recent player and most recent character list on the front page. Just a little something fun
Looks great!!! (finally got off my lazy bum and signed up as well )
Victory:
Guen W. Var - Lvl 50- Mut Scrapper Claws/SR/Body (671 hours)
Lady Sherwood - Lvl 50- Mag Defankster Emp/Rad/Dark
Lady Camelot - Lvl 20- Mag Defender Rad/Son
Proud Leader of the Monks of PalSidae
And I made use of the calendar.

Minor Feature Update
The Player Data page now lets you enter a span of levels.
For instance, choosing "Level" and entering in "30-35" in the text box would display any characters with a level of 30,31,32,33,34,35.
Thought that might a tad useful

PS - Lots of Legion of Valor registering lately. Didn't see a link from your site in my quick browsing of it, but thanks if you *are* promoting it !

just as a quick side-note to the player data page, i fixed the weird alternating row bug when you filtered... it should re-color the rows the right way now after filtering.

I want a Blue Sun shirt.
[language nerdery] that says qingri (pronounced ching-er). i wonder why they used qing instead of lan. qing can also mean green, lan is more specific to blue, if i remember correctly. anywho...[/language nerdery]
Ok,
So the gallery upload bug struck again. Thanks to Cosmic Titan for pointing it out to me.
I think, 99.9999% sure now, that i found the actual culprit, and it should be completely operational (again).
The problem was the way i was referencing ImageMagick in the code.... i guess sometimes it was happy with just being called without paths, and then it got sand in it's [censored] and decided it wanted to be called with the exact path structure.
So, let me know if you run into problems again, but it *should* be fixed now.
looks like i got stickied!

That's what happens when you answer newspaper ads looking for people who "must get along in group situations".

Also, it looks like this thread bumped out Hamster's stalker thread.
Take that rodent!

Polaris is a little two timing, untrustworthy [censored]. Hank was right.

We're always on the hunt for great sites to spotlight in our forums and yours is definately worthy of attention. Several of us have nominated you for Favorite Fan Site too! Gotta vote for my Victory brothers and sisters!

Question:
Part of the reason why i haven't released a Supergroup section of the site is this:
It's REALLY hard to ensure that the person listing the SG is legitimate. Anyone could go and list Legion of Valor, for instance, but have absolutely no affiliation with them.
Also, who would be allowed to "manage" the entry? Whoever listed it? What if there's a dispute of who's the "leaders"? What if someone gets kicked out or pissed off and decides to grief?
I know that these are the mostly "what if" scenarios, but they trouble me enough to keep from releasing the feature.
Any thoughts? Let what happens happens? What are you comfortable with?
no one cares?
Well it can be pretty easily fixed if a real group member reports it.
Also, can't the same be applied to registering as individual characters? I could easily say I was someone else right?
This took the place of the "Show everyone where you live" thread.
my job is easy. i do most of these things in my downtime, especially now that the site is "done" (ie - major time-consuming portions are complete), it's easier for me to spend 5-10 minutes and toss in some nice little QoL thing here and there.
Writing the output page that is on teh site now took ~10 minutes
The import script for the City Game Tracker was moderately time consuming, as far as writing the cronjob that reads from his XML feed, and importing it in a way that's useful for me, and even that only took ~1 hour, and i did that at night
if you would rather i take the site down....
