Are the patron pools truly permanent or can they be changed in a respec?

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
Even without Dev confirmation, I could tell what he meant... but yeah. It was a little confusing, at first glance.
Off and On-topic, however, Mayhem Missions are sounding better and better as time progresses. I can't wait to bust up some city blocks!

Excellent question, and I hope we all recieve an answer to this. But since these powers appear to be something you choose,, and gain through going through a contact, I want to say that they will indeed NOT be able to be changed. But then again, when doing a respec, will they (the Dev's) section off these "Patron powers" so that you are stuck with them.
Lets be honest, if you gain these powers by chossing a specific Patron like, lets say Mako, it sounds as if you deal with him and learn about his past and work your way to gain his trust and in return he grants you with powers that you can only get through him. So........in a respec, they wouldnt grant you access to other Patron powers if you did not do the missions or contact to obtain them.
Thats just my thoughts, but I hope we get an official answer on this as it has be very intrested, and it makes choosing your Patron something to be thought about, rather, than a hastily made decision.
Hopefully we get another red name response!

Most everyone knows that and accepts that the promo copy for I7 has an awkwardly written line about the permanence of Patron Powers. 
A clarification would be appreciated, because Patron Powers are NOT EXACTLY like APPs, in that your Patron choice unlocks content that is mildly or greatly pertinent to your Patron. This additional factor to Patron Powers may preclude swapping PPPs like one can with APPs. It may not. We have not been informed clearly yet. We, the forum playerbase, have sent feedback about either hypothetical PPP scenario.

This is really funny to me since the selling feature to me when I first started this game was that it did not have PvP. and that when it eventually got it, it was not suposed to interfere with the PvE game.
Oh well.
This game was so much better in issue 1 2 3 and even 4.
