The lack of mention of Shields, which I thought was being worked on for I7, is also something I'm hoping is missing due to a similar reason.
I'm also praying that various bugs get fixed.

This is a valid point, however you can't look at CoV's beginning as the way you look at CoH's. I still feel that CoV isn't a standalone game so much as it is a paid expansion. The numbers you've shown have proved to be just so. If they weren't going to be able to adequately provide new content to both 'games' then they shouldn't tout them as seperate products.
In this specific case, I see why this issue would be CoV-centric, however I'd like some assurance that from I8 on things will be even distributed.

Boomtown's rebuilding could very well be part of I7.
It's just not a big selling point, you know? People who don't have the game wouldn't know what Boomtown is. So why would they care if Boomtown was being rebuilt? However, WHOLE new zones? That speaks to new players. New powers? New graphics? New costume options?
A lot of people are taking this as gospel of what will be and won't be in I7. It's a marketing department press release meant to attract new players to the game before the issue hits. That's why it hit MMORPG.com before the main site.

Funny how math can be used to make almost any point.
People who prefer PVE and heroes have got how many new zones in Issue 6? And Villains and PVPers got how many?

And you think it's ridiculous to want a single new zone for PVE Heroes in issue 7?
I tried to reply with a flaming limmerick, but you just can't convey disgust and anger with that rhyming scheme.

And that is, indeed, my hope.
This release is full of good news if you are a PVPer and/or a villain, and full of some amazing potential even if you prefer heroes and PVE. We don't know the details nor if this is only PART of what is coming out.
I just hope I7 have a single new PVE Zone for Heroes. Or, I'd even settle for newspaper-style mission generators in the existing zones. Just some new PVE content for heroes that doesn't require someone to go through a PVP zone to get to it.
It's not an unreasonable want. And it's not like a redname has posted: "not gonna happen" either.
I remain cautiously optimistic. Just found it funny how amazingly impressive the release was if you had your villain cap on and how humdrum it was if you had your hero cap on.
Just because you refuse to participate in certain aspects of the game doesn't mean the dev's should caiter to your needs. You don't PvP - but PvP zones still have PvE missions with cool outcomes and awesome temp powers. You refuse to enter them apparently.
Your loss
CoV is an expanshalone. You can play it without CoH, but lets face it...it's an expansion. You refuse to either buy or play this expansion.

Hon, there is new content in this Issue for Heroes. And it does include a whole new (PvP) zone for them. Just because you refuse to use it is YOUR problem, not ours.
People, People, Enhance your calm (this is ment for those that are afraid coh is getting the shaft in I7).
Pull up the page from the link again and look at the top. It says and i quote:
" City of Villains / City of Heroes has released some information about their newest free expansion, "Issue 7: Destiny Manifest" along with a few new screenshots for our reading and viewing pleasure. "
Notice it says SOME information, not all, or most, but some.
Before we (players that are almost exclusively coh players ) get up in arms about not much added to coh, we should wait for the rest of the information to be released.
Of course this is just one heroes' opinion, and should be treated as such.

What are we paying these Devs for anyway?!
