Breaking the Zig - Open RP
Archlich's fist clenched and a nimbus of blue energy surrounded it.
"Do not think to insult me. I was around when the so called gods that you compare yourself to walked the earth. I will still be around when the inheritos of this planet are walking over your grave. I have crossed the boundries of the dimensions and bent all but the most powerful of demons to my will. Do not presume to compare yourself to me!"
The blue glow had spread to the rest of Archlich's body and it seemed able to burst forth at any moment.
"Only a conclave of the world's most powerful mages defeated me and even then they did not have the power to kill me! They may have managed to strip me of most of my powers but rest assured, Iron Fist," Archlich spat out the name like a curse, "Rest assured that when your plans ultimately fail, I will be there to pick up the pieces and ensure that good will never triumph."
Archlich turned away and stalked off, releasing the spell that had caused the aura to form around him.
I have made a powerful enemy today but all shall be well as long as he does not learn how far I truly have fallen. I shall have to inform Toy about this.

Kairaishi continued to squirm out of the sewer tube, opening up the grate and quickly jumping out--suddenly releasing his breath in an audible "WHOO!" and clutching his chest, panting slightly. "Ugh. I hate the sewers. So many wonderful things mixed into warm water: Urine, feces, rotting food, vomit, and what else have you got for me, Johnny...I doubt I'm ever going to forget that lovely scent." He shook his head to clear his senses and then looked over into the yard, spotting Archlich--looking very pissed, well, at least, as pissed as a skeleton would look. Kairaishi frowned. "Uh-oh. I hope I didn't pick up an angsty dork."
Kairaishi took a fleeting glance at the three Archlich was going away from and shrugged, holstering his new shotgun onto his waist and starting to jog over, giving a big wave to his...coadjutor. "Hey, man, what's up? You look mad as hell. Oh, and I managed to skootch some more info and a few new toys for us while I was down there--particularly, how to get out of here and what the hell happened."
The scene outside the prison yard was worse than a Star Trek convention that had run out of fake Spok ears. Instead of rioting geeks trying to take William Shatner's pants, there were dangerous criminals punching holes in walls with Arachnos assault helicopters providing air support. Outside the range of the helicopters flew Lord NighBlade, surveying all that was happening on the ground and in the air (and thinking himself quite clever for thinking up that Star Trek comparison, but we all know it wasn't all that clever). Clad in his black leather costume and duster hat, NightBlade had been on his way to Peregrine Island to aid Portal Corp. when he noticed the chaotic situation below.
After a final flyby of the area, he determined how he could best help Longbow contain the prison break. Fighing on the ground was out; not because he couldn't handle the mobs of prisoners, he is, after all, a man of extreme dexterity and agility, his mutation ehnanced reflexes almost giving him a sixth sense when avoiding the attacks of his enemies. Rather, he thought that Longbow agents were all sanctimonious jerks who needed a lesson in humility. Thus, Lord NightBlade was content to let Longbow handle the Arachnos soldiers, if only to teach them they weren't as invincible as they thought (especially around that big guy with the cybernetic implants coming out the wazoo and beyond). What was really bothering him though was the Arachnos air support. If the heroes got the upperhand in the battle, the copters could be used to create a distraction by attacking the neighborhood surrounding the prison. As he streaked toward the assault copters he simled and said to himself, "Arachnos should have checked the wather report before coming, cloudy with a 90% chance of rain mixed with flaming wreckage."
He zeroed in on his first target and drew his katana, a magnificent blade made of nearly indestructable tritanium composite. Getting past the copters' defenses to within melee range would be tricky, luckily he had a new trick he'd been working on. When Ms. Liberty gave all the heroes jet packs for Christmas, NightBlade did some calculations and figured out that, if properly used, the pack would act as an afterburner and dramatically increase his flight speed...or explode. Now he was going to put his calculations to the test. He pressed the jet pack's ignition button and shot through the sky going 5 times faster than normal. The strain on the pack was enourmous, its casing and harness not designed to handle the stresses of these speeds. NightBlade pushed the thought out of his mind as he approached his first target, weaving in and out of the craft's auto-tracking machine guns. He flew in under the helicopter's right enginge nacell and cut clean through the support strut holding it to the fuselage. The engine fell off and the copter wet into an unbalanced tailspin, crashing into the prison yard below.
Lord NightBlade came around for a pass at another helicopter when his jet pack began disintigrating. He quickly took it off and let the parts fall to the ground. Dodging the incoming fire from the copter became a lot harder and he hoped he could eliminate it before he got tired. Thinking quickly, NightBlade flew above the copter, removed two web grenades from his belt, and threw each grenade into the helicopter's spinning rotors. The grenades hit their mark and the webbing entangled each rotor, causing the copter to fall like a rock and crash into the prison's radar control building. NightBlade cursed at himself for not paying attention to the geography of the prison. He surveyed the situation on the ground and noticed that the Arachnos soldier with all of the implants was nowhere to be seen. NightBlade hoped he hadn't been alterted to his presence by the helicopters dropping from the sky.
Goodbye, I guess.

He walked the bowels of the prison hoping his disguise would get him past most of the Arachnos soldiers. He didn't have time for this he was free and he wanted to do stuff free men did. His mouth thirsted for a taste of a beer his body ached for the touch of a woman. I've been here to long he thought as he kept walking.
He found the stairwell leading to the prison yard and knew he had to get up five floors before he could see the light of day. He began his ascent towards freedom. An arachnos soldier stopped him two floors up. Before the soldier could question him he helped the soldier over the rail and hopefully to his death.
He made it into the yard where all chaos was breaking lose. Former skulls, CoT, and heliions were rampaging attacking everyone on sight including Arachnos soldiers. Not good, he thought to himself as he remembered what he was wearing. Drawing mystical energies into himself he made the air around him shimmer in a condesed focus of heat. Vitually invisible he made his toward the only escape route he knew the wall.
He found a ladder leading to one of the guard lookout towers. He slowly made his way up the ladder, making sure to melt the rungs after he was done using them. Hopfully no one would see his his escape.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
He woke up sweating in his bed next to his wife. H ehad just had the worst nightmare of his life. He looked over at the stone that was his link to the runes that kept his mortal enemy, and best friend at bay. The stone wasn't glowing anymore. Frantically he opened his nightstand drawer, picked up his communcater and looked to see who had thier's one. Most of the team was asleep so he made a recorded messagee hoping the buzzing and alarm tone would wake them up.
" Bearers, this is Cross Draw, trouble at the Zig.....my brother is free." It said.
Iron Fist had hardly let his eyes turn from the powerful skeleton. So the Lich was bound to this floating rock when the alien lifeforms who called themselves 'gods' walked the Earth, eh? Well that's all well and good, but the situation could get extremely unpleasant for Archlich when he tried to destroy the world. Of course, that was not the EXACT wording that was going through Fist's mind, but those words would be cencored so badly it just wouldn't be funny any more.
"Well? Are you going to take on immence power and follow the path of my cause? Or will you reject my proposal and walk away unharmed? It is your choice." Fist looked at Vim without emotion, nothing but an immensely powerful psychic could invade his thoughts.
Lieutenant Daniels of the Arachnos Pilot Corps watched the flaming wreckage of Troopships 5 and 9 tumble past his assault dropship. The Lieutenant signaled the other troopships that were his charges to scatter and avoid contact with the hero that had downed those two. Utilizing the stealth function and VTOL thrusters of his ship he coasted up behind the hero who was still hovering in the air. A single word from his gunner indacted that the hero was in his sights.
"Burn him down." Daniels ordered.
Two powerful spotlights lanced out from each wing on the dropship and illuminated the hero, who turned around with a look of shock on his face. The four chain guns opened fire at that instant, yellow tracers zipping towards the hero. He dove down, weaving back and forth, trying to avoid the bullets. But before the hero escaped behind a pile of rubble he got nicked by one of the bullets, sending him tumbling to the ground.
"We got the [censored]!" crowed Daniels' gunner.
"Finish him off." said Daniels coldly.
The gunner nodded and, smirking, launched six rockets that blew the pile of rubble sky high. Judging his job as being done, Daniels punched the rotor and ascended back into the sky, eyes sharp on the sensor panel that would alert him if a hero showed up. Not that it had helped with the last one though.
OOC: Just so you know, you don't have to be blown up. After all, Mr. Pilot didn't check, now did he?

Under normal circumstances, Lord NightBlade would have been able to dodge the incoming rockets fired by the dropship, but since they were aimed at the pile of rubbe he was using as a cover there was no chance of that happening. He knew he could dodge area of effect atacks, but in the past those had been small grenades, not half a dozen high explosive rockets. Plus such efforts left him extremely tired. As he braced himself for the coming explosion, NightBlade remembered the Cryonite Armor device he purchased from Cooke's Electronics the day before. He wasn't sure how effective the armor would be, but he needed anything that could increase his chances of survival, no matter how slightly.
He activated the device and leapt from the rubble pile a split second before the rockets hit. The force of the explosions sent him hurtling through the air and he twisted and contorted his body to avoid the flying shrapnel and debris. The suit of ice armor that covered his body was surprisongly effective at absorbing the heat and energy of the initial blast, but was quickly overloaded and suffered a catastrophic failure. By that time, however, most of the danger to NightBlade had passed, he had a few cuts from shrapnel that had grazed him but he was relatively unscathed. He even managed to hold on to his katana. But the effort to dodge all of the flying debris left him drained and as such he did not have the energy to stop his uncontrolled flight caused by the detonation. He slammed into the bottom of a concrete catwalk, saved from falling only by his blade, which had been lodged into the concrete by the foce of the blast and to which he clung for dear life. Below him was a mass of Arachnos soldiers and he prayed to whatever force that was in charge of the Universe that another hero would come along and help him.
Goodbye, I guess.

Lord NightBlade was still hanging from his katana when suddenly there was a flash of bright light in the prison yard. From that light emerged a 6 foot tall anthropomorphic teddy bear. In a voice that could be heard around the world, the bear proclamed that its name was Harmony Bear and that it was from a race of beings known as the Care Bears who went through the universe and spread happyness and joy. Then Harmony Bear broke into song and all of the villains and heroes immediately stopped fighing and started hugging each other and promising to never fight again. China renounced Communism, Castro resigned as Cuba's president and tyrants all over the world declared they would give up their power and become florists. Lord NightBlade felt all warm and fuzzy all over....
Then he woke up. NightBlade realized that he had drifted off to sleep amid the chaos of the prison break. He was still hanging by his katana from a concrete catwalk. He was still over a large group of Arachnos. He was still royally screwed. "Holy crap," he muttered, "someone get me the hell out of here."
Goodbye, I guess.

The explosions rocked the ladder he was climbing up on. He was almost to the top and no one had of yet noticed his escape. Which in his mind was good. His periphal vision caught an item flying at the catwalk to his left about ten feet away. With a sickening thud he heard the item groan as it bounced off the catwalk. " Just great a hero to save the day", he thought. He looked over to his left and saw a man holding onto a sword imbedded in the wall, right above Arachnos soldiers.
"Dammit." he yelled, "I dont have time for this.". He summoned up mystical energies around him and with left hand he getured towrads the Arachnos soldiers." Now you see him, now you dont."
He continued his climb up the ladder, pulling himself to the top he glanced down at the chaos. Why wasn't that hero doing anything but just holding onto his sword? He knew his smoke wouldn't hide the hero forever and if help didn't come for him the hero would be dead. The death of the hero wouldn't really bother him in the slightest or would it as he felt a sharp pang of guilt rising up in his consciencous. His brothers twisted face flashed before his eyes, bringing back the smells, sights and feelings of that day. He had killed his brother, his mentor and his best friend. He wasn't going to let his brother fall to his demise again, but he wasn't going back to that jail cell.
" I don't have time for this s%^&!!", he yelled down at the hero hoping to wake him. He heard the helicopters in the air and knew that longbow would soon be here. " Wake up you stupid kape jerk."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The team had assembled quickly for being retired and most of the important members where there. Cross Draw looked them over with uptmost approval.
"Thank you all for coming. As you know my brother is free. We need to detain him and help Longbow and the other Heroes contain this situation. We will teleport one mile outside of the Zig, then use whatever means neccessary to get there as quick as possible. I know we use to be able teleport directly to the zig but since we are unofficailly under investagation we must make our presence lowkey.", Cross Draw said. " Cross Wind, Cross Punch, Cross Beam your main objective is to retun my brother back to his cell. Secondary will be to assist the guards and other heroes in restoring order to the zig. Extraction will be at Nav point alpha. Any questions?".
Cross Draw was thankful that there were no questions as each member of his team knew what vital part they played." Move out boys and girls, this won't solve itself.",he said as he walked into the teleporter.

Vim looked at the extended hand suspiciously. It was an odd feeling, but she just thought better than to let the man take a hold of her. Maybe it was because he was a god, but she wasnt about to touch him. Look, buddy, Im a mercenary. Vim growled. I dont stay with any one person for long, so if you think for a second that Im gonna be some kind of floozy lapdog for you and your friends, you can forget about it. Im willing to do a few jobs for you, but its your money that I want, not the satisfaction of serving your cause. I make that clear to anyone before I work for them. Nemesis agreed, Vandal agreed, Bobcat agreed, and Dr. Vahzilok didnt agree so I killed half his bodyguards and gave him a bruise to think about who he makes deals with. I dont shake hands, I take your cash, and Im certainly not agreeing to anything until we get out of this pig sty!
She smiled smugly as she stared straight into his face, her arms crossed across her chest to show she wasnt planning to shake hands anytime soon. She wasnt afraid of the man, just cautious, and she didnt want to end up a pawn.
Just as Vim was talking to the man, Someone walked in. The man looked just like the hero called the Immortal Dragon Xiang Long. The Immortal Hero Gideon's Brother. "Where is the cafeteria in this joint?" he then saw Vim and overheard what she said about offering her services for money. "Hello my lovely, I am Bounty Killa the world's deadliest assassin." Bounty Killa smiled. But you can call me Kade Nelson. Bounty Killa grinned. Bounty Killa was so full of himself. Bounty Killa looked at the man. I am also an Assasin for hire." Bounty Killa smiled. "How much would you pay for an assassin that can't be killed and was immortal?" It was all over the news how Gideon apprehended Bounty in an attempt to kill all the Members of M.A.G.I. News traveled around fast in the underworld about the Assassin that couldn't be killed.
As he hung by his sword from the catwalk, exauhsted from dodging shrapnel caused by a massive explosion, Lord NightBlade took a moment to more carefully observe his precarious situation. He was hanging above a group of Arachnos soldiers, yet the soldiers hadn't attacked him or made any threatening moves. He'd been hanging there long enough to be spotted by them and he was puzzled by the fact that they obviously hadn't. Then he noticed the fog surrounding the soldiers, it was thin, almost imperceptible, yet it was there and it was blocking their vision. Long enough for him to fall asleep it seemed.
"I fell asleep," he said to himself. "I can't believe I FELL ASLEEP in the midst of all this noise and all of the crap going on in the air and on the ground. And I dreampt about Care Bears. What the hell is up with that?! I freaking HATE the Care Bears! Oh Christ I hope there weren't any psychics who caught that one. I'll kick the crap out of them if they go public with that!"
The words gave him a second wind, and NightBlade was determined that he wouldn't die in this humiliating position. Calling upon his mutant gene he started flying. He tugged on his sword but it was firmly imbedded in the concrete of the catwalk. He flew up several hundred yards from his katana and went into a powerdive straight at the hilt. His hands wrapped around the smooth leather handle and he shut off his flight ability, letting his momentum and gravity add to his strength. The blade ripped free of the concrete, sending a large chunk falling into the group of Arachnos, crushing the legs of one hapless soldier. His katana at last free, NightBlade reactivated his flight power and continued his power dive into the group of soldiers. They opened fire on him with their sub-machine guns, but he dodged their fire effortlessly. Three soldiers looked on in shock as they found their guns suddenlt cut cleanly in two while the other four cried in pain as they suddenly found shuriken painfully lodged in their shoulders.
Goodbye, I guess.

"Suit yourself." Iron Fist put down his hand. "But if you work for me, I promise nothing about money. I promise power. I know that you still have not been able to kill the hero known as Billyboy. With the power I offer you, you could destroy him, and many other heroes. But only if you agree."
Iron Fist turned and looked at Killa. "As for you... I do not think that this is the one you are looking for." Fist silently willed his powers to let that sink into the assassain's head. Many things could be accomplished with a small push to the brain. This lowly thug could not inturupt his plans.
"Captain! We've got trouble near the north wall! A cape has shown up and-kzzzzt!" the call was cut off mid-sentence.
Sullivan checked the power levels of his Shivan arm. Due to the relative quiet that had fallen over the outside walls of the Zig its power remained mostly at the same level as when he last checked. Pressing a recessed button on the left side of his helmet, Sullivan opened a channel to his men.
"I am temporarily abandoning my position along the east wall. Shift your positions so we can keep overlapping fields of fire. And make sure that the emergency Crab Spider team is ready to deploy at any moment. I have a hero to take care of." He spoke into his mike.
After replies and affirmitives filtered in from his command, Sullivan leaped from the wall, landing lightly on his feet, and started running toward the last known position of his squad. If there was a hero then a radiation core blast should at least knock him out and Sullivan could detail a clean-up crew to the rest of this.
"Damn but I hate my job." Sullivan muttered under his breath.

Killa felt something in his head. I see i'm gonna have to show you. Bounty Killa pulled out one of his desert eagles and put it to his mouth. Bounty then pulled the triggerblowing off part of his head. The brain matter splattered all over and bounty fell over. His wound began to regenerate and close. Bounty got back up. WOOO Man what a headache. Bounty Killa smiled at the man and at Vin. "As I said I am the best at what I do and I can't die."
((Sorry, loves, rough weekend. Gotta do my catching up.
And now everyone's here to muck up my pretty little roleplay. -wink- Just kidding, welcome aboard everyone.))
Ruggaso grabbed the next prisoner to file through the sewer entrance. She gave him a glare that could melt fire, but he simply set her hair alight. As she screeched obscenities at him and tried to get her hands around his thin neck, He flicked his wrist, and summoned a stone mace.
A lump of stone grew on the inside of his palm, like a super-fast tumour. It then extended in a rough pole in both directions, sprouted a bulp at the end, and produced what looked like twenty stalagmites.
He swung it at the girls head, and the stone drove itself deep into her brain. She too zipped off to shake Death by the hand.
That'll teach her. That good-for-nothing had infiltrated a hero base, laid in wait for twenty hours, and then massacred them in their sleep.
Two prisoners he let go without comment, theives spurred by hunger and poverty. The fourth he eyed, a glint of amusement on his features. Archlich had strode pass, barely noticing the hero who had two bodies at his feet.
Undead. How very interesting. We'll save HIM for later, shall we?
Ruggaso picked off a few more thugs and murders, one rapist and three cult leaders who convinced their followers to perform a mass suicide. Then Kairaishi had stumbled though, and Ruggaso stopped again. His hand twitched under it's thick layer of stone, but he left the robed man alone, for the time being.
The flow was dwindling off - he could see a few prisoners lurking in the shadows of the sewer, not daring to come out. Rugg chuckled to himself as he stomped away, just in time to get splattered by half of someone's brain.
"Yo, what the -bleep- was that about?" he growled, disgustidly wipting the brain matter off of his face. There was a salty taste in his mouth, and it dawned forcefully that he had actually swallowed some of it.
"I hope you -bleepin'- died." he added, nudging Bounty Killa with a toe. But, his hopes were shattered as the half-brained dimwit lept upright and the proceeded to brag to some girl that he couldn't die. May the gods have mercy upon my sanity. Ruggaso thought with a sigh.

Physic immediatly saw that they would lose. The heroes were flying, jumping, running and teleporting willy-nilly, some succeeding to catch one or two of the defending soldiers, but most of them simply getting themselves hurt. She didn't have time to open her mouth and say something, though, for at that moment a handful of missiles exploded around her.
In the massive shock wave, Physic was thrown high into the air. While she was airborne, she had the presence of mind to do two things: She constructed a protective shield of antimatter and gravity around her prone body - anything that touched the bubble flew off with a loud crack - and she then proceeded to hover upsidedown in the air.
Hidden had been nearby, and had taken damage from the flying shards of stone and metal. Physic had huge welts on her body, and gazed up in amazement as a few drops of blood landed on her face. Her abdomen was torn open, the wound only now starting to bleed. She had been spared from the shrapnel by her force field, and she realised that without it, she would have been on her way to a hospital.
Hidden rushed to her aid as the rulpution bubble faded, allowing him to approach, and emmited as much healing radiation as he could. Her bloodflow eased a slight bit, now a steady trickle working its way toward her neck, and the skin began to scar, holding back the rest of the flow.
"Retreat! Heroes! Back!"
She cried, and the few who heard her truned to stare at the upside-down woman.
She looked pleadingly at Hidden, who switched his earpiece to the high-security team frequency.
"We need a plan, everyone BACK!"
A few more heroes took up the call, and half of the offensive force began to back away from the prison. She heard some of the prisoners cheer, along with some of the soldiers - but others seemed suspicious. They had the right to be.
Half a mile away, under slight fire from long-range snipers and a few helicopters, the heroes stood and disscused their options.
Some Long Bow Agents made their way into the sewers along with some guards. Bounty Killa turned around and pulled out his 2 desert eagles. "It is partay time woooo!!!" Bounty began shooting at the agents taking some of them down. The agents then started shooting at him. Man That tickles HAHAHA. Bounty Killa began walking towards them while shooting at them. He ran out out of bullets. "I guess we are gonna have to do this mano a mano." Bounty got in a martial arts stance. One of the agents Charged Bounty but Bounty gave him a swift roundhouse kick to the temple. The agent began to throw some kicks of his own as he got in a martial arts stance. Bounty smiled. "To defeat me you must flow like water and strike like lightning." Bounty said in the voice of an old master. Meanwhile in the courtyard 4 new herows appeared. there was a Tall man who was very muscular and stood about 6'7 dressed all in white with a hood. there was another dressed in all black with a hood and a mask next to them was another man with a full mask with his hair out and a man dressed in baggy panys with blue and silber armor covering the upper part of his body and a trench coat with the sleeves ripped off. A longbow agent walked up to them. "ideon, Xinag Long Shadw Wraith and Gabriel Seraph, We are glad you are here, There has been a break out." Gideon looked at some of the heroes. "We have to make sure Bounty Killa doesn't escape." gideon and the others noticed Hidden and the hero he was accompanying.
"I don't care if you can get your head shot off, you brain dead retard!" Vim spat. "Is this supposed to be some kind of weird pickup line?! Whatever!" She turned to Iron Fist. "Listen, I don't care about freaking power, I don't care about Billyboy anymore! It was one job gone wrong, my only one gone wrong, and it taught me a lesson, so forget about trying to pick me up wihtout anything to offer! Damn it, I just want some money and a few creature comforts!"
The arguement sounded sound to her, maybe she even believed it, but Iron Fist could hear the truth behind it. She thought about it constantly, she always brooded about it, she hadn't ever attempted to escape once because she didn't even see a point anymore. She was lost, and that made her easy to manipulate.
"We need organisation, or we'll fall. The enemy knows exactly what they're doing; why shouldn't we?"
A few murmurs of assent greeted Physic's words. She now hovered slightly above ground level - right side up - and she had that repulsion shield around herself again, so she wouldn't perish to a well-aimed snipe attack.
"Lets take care of the macheniry first. Anyone able to control gravity or weather - we may need one or two electric attacks as well - can take care of the helicopters." She glanced at Hidden Incognito, who was currently not in stealth mode, and he took her glance as a hint. Quickly he brought up a display of all the heroes present, showing in the corner of his pink-tinted glasses. He scanned the list.
"Numero Uno, The Weather Man, Nimbus, Zapper, Physic Defiance, Yariley and... the Gravity Kitten- " he said the last name with a slight smile - "That means you. Once the 'copters are gone, you stay in the backlines and fire on the gunners."
A shy-looking young man piped up from the back. "Formation-wise, lets get the Tankers as the frontline, with scrappers using them as shields, and then the Rangers in the back..."
"Good Plan," Hidden scanned the datalist, "Marco Polo."
Someone else added, "Healers should go straight into the brunt of the fight, revififying and healing the Tanks and Scrapps."
"Here, have a bubble." Someone tossed a force-field divice to Hidden, who was the nearest healer. Several other defenders raised their hands for gadgets, and the make-shift meeting went chaotic as everyone proclaimed their specilties and did their best to imporve other's.
In the end the group was formidable. The muscle-bound Tanks stood with their weapons and fists ready, behind them were the agile scrappers streaching and readying their attacks. Forcefields, repultion bubbles, smoke, mist and invisable shadows concealed the seventy-some heroes. Healers stood at the ready, blasters were poised, and the gravity team was ready to attack the Halicopters.
A strong-looking controller held his fist in the air, giving a last minute warning before the now-organised gorup charged.
"Just 'cus we're heroes don't mean we're invinciable-" a few Tankers shouted their disagrement, but he went on with nary a smile, "So if you can flee to safety, do so. The hospitals are a long distance away, and we need everyone here. So, everyone set?"
From deep within the crowd - Hidden suspected it was one of the blasters who shouted it - came the call of "CHHAARRGGEE!".
The air was thick with battle calls, and the wave of heroes swept forward like a tsunami, ready to break upon the heads of the Arachnos gaurding the Zig.
Gabriel Seraph went on front with the other Tankers while Gideon Xiang Long and Shadow Wraith fought besides the other scrappersGideon Xiang and Shadow began taking shots and regenerating. Gideon and Shadow then started phaseshifting and at The same time Gideon started deflecting the shots with his sword. Gabriel summoned a firesword and began swinging at Arachnos soldiers as pullets and lazers were bouncing off of himShadow wraith wrapped his fists with dark energy while Xiang focused his chi to his fists fighting both man and machine. Back at the sewers Bounty was battling the long bow agents Kicking one then punching another. Bounty Killa then pulled out his Katana and began slicing through Longbow agents. One agent came and pulled out a katana of his own. Bounty smiled. "In the end there can be only one." Bounty Killa slice the agent in the chest and he began to regenerate. Oooohhhh a Regener, This is gonna be fun. The 2 kept going back and fourth as metal clashed. Bounty then mannaged to slice off the agents arms. He then looked at Vim. As you can see I am a master of combat, maybe you and me can do something together start our own killers for hire organization. He then winked at her.
Sullivan skidded to a halt as frantic calls resounded across the air waves from the squads he had left to defend his original position. It appeared as if a solid phalanx of heroes had suddenly charged, catching most of his men by surprise.
When will Recluse learn to not teach the new recruits such arrogance? he wondered as he about-faced and ran back the way he came.
"Transport Command, Sullivan. Release the Crab Spiders and have them investigate the north wall. Also, what is the status of the troopships?" he said into his mouthpiece as he ran.
"We currently have 4 ships still on site. One was shot earlier by a hero and the other seven have safetly retreated to Rogue Isle air space. Both assault drop ships are still alive but judging from their reports-" A brief pause, "My apoligies sir but Lieutenant Daniels has signaled that his wingman is down and his ship is retreating to avoid complete destruction."
"Send the lieutenant my compliments on doing his duty as well as he could. Tell the remaining troopships to expedite evacuation as our air cover is gone."
"Roger sir. The Web Master reports that his men have disembarked and are proceeding to the specified position."
"Good. If anything urgent happens, contact my second-in-command, I'm going to be a little busy. Sullivan, out."
As he neared the front ranks of heroes he mentally applauded their tactics. Keeping the tanks and scrappers in a unified front while backed up by the defenders presented a formidable wall. And the controllers and blasters to the rear kept any unified resistence from forming. Whoever was commanding them was a bit smarter than your average cape. This would be a difficult fight, but difficut or not, it was enjoyable to fight someone who knew how to really fight.
You know what? This seems like a good time to introduce myself. So what if I was waiting to quit before I revealed my villain name.
Smiling, Sullivan shouted as he jumped over a prone Archnos soldier, "Time to fear, heroes! The Wolf Spider Warrior is here!"
Sullivan announced his presence more surely with a concentrated radiation blast from his arm that knocked a hulking tank into the far wall, sending minute tremors up its length that caused a blaster to fall from her perch. With a loud roar, Sullivans men converged on their leader and paved his way with a storm of bullets and energy beams.

Oh Christ, this guy is un-bel-IEV-able. Ruggaso thought, as the witless man was suddenly and inexplicably surrounded by Longbow agents. The villian, Bounty Killa as he was called, kept shouting tough-sounding words at the heores, taking them all on at once.
Well, Ruggaso had to admit, He can sure hold his own. If he has any amount of useful brain to him - his stomach churned uneasily as the tanker thought of the salty taste that still hovered on his tongue, - The bits that didn't land on me, of course, he'd be a pretty good fighter.
But, alas, it didn't seem so, as he certainly couldn't take a strong hint from a woman, nor did he think of the other people around him as he went making wild swings and strokes with his weapon. The finely made sword was handled farily well, although with a large amount of flourish. Flourishes and boastfulness, Ruggaso knew, often lead to a final downfall and were also occasionally a demonstration of ignorance to the true form.
He grabbed a nearby Longbow, stared sadly into the man's eyes, whispered a hurried and cryptic "This is so you can keep your arms," and then rammed his thumb sharply into the man's neck, just beside his ear. His hazel eyes rolled promptly into his head, and the man's body went limp. The longbow suddenly felt as light as the air in Ruggaso's arms, and he faded in a flash of blue light. The hero had been transported to the hospital.
Rugg wasn't given a chance to save any others, the reckless villian had taken care of them by that time. Without much more option, he wandered back over to where the female was talking with the un-fated male. Rugg took in the man's single eye and frosty exterior in one glance, knowing instinctivly that he was called Iron Fist. The tanker hovered on the sidelines, listening in on the conversation the two were having.
"We need some electricity! There's a Bot at three 0'clock!"
Three bolts of lightening shot from three different Blaster's hands, aiming at the random-targeting auto-fire defense gun. The technology promptly short-circuted and sent out several white sparks.
Hidden had sunk into stealth mode, as well as activating his forcefield. He dashed back and forth, letting the display screen on his glasses and the beeping in his ear guide him to the wounded. In the top corner of his tinted glasses, three names flashed in red letters, as well as a small arrow indicating their position. He dashed to the nearest two, a tanker crumpled against the fortress's wall, and a tiny blaster laying akwardly on the dirt beside him. He pulled the Tank back from the brink of death - the teleporter hadn't activated just yet. The huge man rose above Hidden's head in a ray of green and blue light, his genes mutated momentarily to deal extreme amounts of damage. He tipped his fedora in thanks and lumbered off to beat on some soldiers who had left their back exposed.
The Blaster took a bit more time, as she was still consious and writing in pain, but he soon had her on her feet again. She handed over a small vial of blue-tinted liquid, which he drank gratefully. His body swelled with energy once more.
Physic Defiance had targeted a helicopter almost directly overhead, and her and the small team of other controllers and blasters overrode the 'copter's blades with raw force. The machine rose straight up, the blades smoking on their router ((or whatever it's called...)), where the whole machine was frozen solid before plummeting to the ground. The slim woman gazed at the sky again, searching for another copter to destroy. There were none to be see.
"Copters are delt with, lets do what we can to ease the pressure from the font line."
The small gorup nodden and sererated to find good vantage points from which to deal the best, most accurate damage. Physic saw a young hero floating in the air above the heads of everyone else. He had gone up to get a good aim at an opposing soldier, but Physic saw he also had made an easy target of himself. She closed her eyes and concentrated on his position and body, and he teleported to her side looking confused.
"You almost died just then," she pointed to where he had been. A spray of bullets passed through the air where his head had been. "Stay in the crowd, don't stand out."
She nugded him back into the battle, and he trotted out of view. Just then, over the noises of battle and men crying in agony, she heard something she didn't expect.
"Time to fear, heroes! The Wolf Spider Warrior is here!"
What is it with them and spiders? she managed to think before the fear settled in. If they had SuperVillians on their side - trained ones, not the mixed variety form within the prison walls - then the enemy might have been severly underestimated. She saw a man clad in black charge at a Tanker who's back was turned, and efficently stopped him in his tracks by increasing the gravity aorund him. His body was slowly crushed by the powerful force, and the tanker whirled around and bonked him on the head. She smiled and spoke into the counterpiece of her radio.
"Watch your heads, heroes, we've got a SuperVillian on the rampage."
Staggered by the sudden increase of gravity, Sullivan barely managed to block the punch thrown by the tanker. Fortunately for him, the Shivan arm appeared to be unaffected by the gravity field around him and succeeded in blocking the blow. A device built into the arm triggered, activating a neutralizing force that returned the gravity around him to normal levels, allowing Sullivan to grab the tanker's hand before he could pull back for another go and yank him forward. Caught off guard by an enemy he thought was immobilized, the tanker stumbled forward right into Sullivan's pistoning knee, knocking the breath out of the blue and white costumed man. A quick chop to the back of his head put him down and out and Sullivan slowly straightened and looked over the small army of heroes.
"Let's see what you've got." quipped the brute.
And then he slammed his fist into the ground, creating a shockwave that rippled across the ground, knocking a good majority of the heroes of their feet. Unfortunately, Sullivan's troops were also knocked down but what really mattered was that now the snipers had access to the blasters and controllers lurking in the rear. They made good use of this sudden oppertunity as Sullivan pulled a pair of grenades from his belt and tossed them into a group of prone heroes.
"So far, I'm not impressed."
OOC: WSW isn't normally over-powered. It's just this thread that Recluse gave him some new tech to use on this mission and to test out at the same time.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
Iron Fist looked at Archlich with anger. " The Mighty have fallen? I am a virtual Greek demigod and you dare to insult me Archlich? Yes I know all about you. And everyone else in this stinking prison. And what about yourself? You call yourself an Archlich, yet you were locked in this accursed building as I was. It took the entire Freedom Phalanx to take me down. Statesman, Synapse, Citadel, Numina, Sister Psyche, Positron. Every single one of them had to use their utmost power to send me here. Unfortunately, the Arachnos soldiers know enough about me to keep dampeners locked on with me. I cannot express my true abaility or you would be dead already."
"And as for you..." Iron Fist looked at Vim. "You ask what kind of 'supervillain' gets in here? You just heard every word I had to say to him. And plus, aren't you supposed to be a supervillain? Why are you here? If you truly want out, then we must shake on it. I can never tell a lie. My noble Russian heritage scorns such follery. I promise, if you come with me, you will have power beyond imagination." Fist held out his giant metal hand for her to shake. "But before you shake... remember. If you betray me as Silver Skull had... I will kill you personally."
