  1. This was the first thing I made when I downloaded Paint.net (A suped-up version of Microsoft Paint). The lines are rough - I didn't have anti-aliasing turned on, some proportions are off and there are a few scribbles outside of the lines I never got arond to fixing.

    Anyways, here's Lime Kage!
  2. Meet Grandma Honey. She's a sweet old thing, likes to knit. In fact, here she is with her Knitting needles!

She makes really good soup. She also clears out warehouses in her spare time because of a grave misunderstanding at City Hall.
  3. ((Feel free to add on, if you like! This isn't meant to be a masterpiece. ))

    "Hey, Hidden."
    "Whadda ya want, Fiz?"

Physic Defiance looked pensive for a moment, before responding.
"Do you ever think that this city is a little… odd? There are a few things I've noticed, and it's starting to freak me out."

"You mean the freaks that we arrest up on a regular basis? They creep me out."
"No, but there is something very wrong with this town."
    "Elaborate."

She stared around, looking for anyone who might be listening in. The park was empty, thankfully, and the only people in sight was a small group of hellions in the distance.

"Well, for one… Why are there so many bad guys here in the first place? The city is overrun with heroes and longbow, why to the gangs and organisations stay HERE of all places?"

Hidden Incognito thought about it and shrugged. There wasn't really any reason. The villains were always here, and that was what everyone was used to.

"The other day I was in the hollows, searching out Frostfire."
    "Yeah, slimy bugger."
"I found him, of course, and sent him off to the Zig."
    "Good for ya!"
"But five minutes later I heard a broadcast calling for help to beat Frostfire."
"Humm. The Zig has gone downhill lately."

She stared at her pink companion, slack-jawed at his utter stupidity. She shook it off, however, as she thought of something else.

    "Hidden, where are the children?"
    "… In school?"

"No, really. Why are there no babies, or children or teenagers. What happened to them?"
    "They hang at the mall."
    "…What mall?"
    "There's no mall?"
"No. No mall." She assured him, with a hint of dark humour.
    "A city this size -?"

He seems to be getting freaked out. Good.
"No mall." She repeated. He thought it over.
    "No clothing stores?"
    "No, only Serge."

"Now that you mention it, Fiz, I can see where you're going… Ever notice the police drones?"
"Ha! Exactly! What's up with 105 North Ave? Why do they always need backup!? I'm telling you, this city is… wrong."

They sat, looking around, working themselves into frenzy.

"Why are there so many abandoned offices and warehouses in such a huge city?"
"How can people be hit by a truck or train, and not even react?"
    "Why are there no bicycles?"
"Where did all the washrooms go?"
"Why does the public have access to the sewers?"
"With all the gravity controllers running around, why is there not a shortage of forklifts and pool tables?"
"Why can't the general public be resurrected in the hospitals?"
"How come I don't have any real money?"
"Why is there no rush hour?"
"How come I can't fly higher than the tallest skyscraper?"
"What's to stop the villains from taking over Pocket D?"
"Why don't force fields protect me from being slapped?"
"How many people keep a boom box in their pockets?"
    "Why am I pink?"

They stared at each other with fearful eyes, panting heavily. Without any form of communication, they both leapt to their feet and ran toward the base portal.
"Forget this crazy town! I'm going back to Canada!"

(BTW, for what it's worth... I've teamed with people in their 60's.... my wife's parent's. )

Ahahaha… I like that. it brings some great images to mind.

When you do redeye, you do it hard-core.
  5. Well, I think that the change is really only for CoH/CoV. I'm /pretty/ sure that the WoW community (at least, the vocal/obsessive community) are just as nerdy and, um... conventionally-beauty-challenged as ever.

What I find interesting about this game is the HUGE age difference. I've teamed with people between 12 and 43. Of course, most seem to fall into a 17-23-ish bracket...

But I love seeing pics of people that play, it's so diverse and often surprising.

... But... but... I LOVE monkies. -pout-
  6. [ QUOTE ]
I always love seeing these. My husband hooked me on this game by doing a family project to try to make a character based on me. Three weeks later when I purchased my own account, I re-created her. I think we did okay.

I love your hair colour. ^^ I tired to get mine like that, but it decided it didn't want to be purply, and then turned.. brown again.

Bah, you all have better graphics than I do, too. My characters don't shine. -pout-
  7. Haha, I look nothing like my Physic Defiance.

However, I got curious and played around with the creator tool, to see how close I COULD get... not a complete success, but hey, I tried. ^^

Schweet. I love dark hero concepts.

Well written, too. Um. yes. I liked it; but it was, of course, too short for my preference.
  9. Just for the heck of it... I use more Alt for Rping, but she's my main:

    Name: Physic Defiance

Race(Black, White, Alien): White (very pale)

    Origin(Mutant, Science): Science/technology

    Hero or Villain: Hero

    Archetype: Controller (Gravity and Kenitics)

Former Job(If Any): "Scientific theorist"... She basicly came up with random theories about our physical world - paralell dimensions, time traval, faster-than-light movement, ect.

Current Home: ... She has an apartment for sleeping in, but she spends most of her time in her labratory - and will eventually move to her SG's base in the sewers, once all the renovations are done. :P

Brief Physical Description: Average height, slim, teal-colored costume and purple-colored acessories, (belt, gloves, boots, hair.)
The tight-fitting costume is woven with a rather common metal alloy - somewhat like titanium. It lets her withstand attacks that any average human would perish from, but it is very insulating, so there have to be breaks in the weave to prevent asphyxiation. Her belt and gloves have complicated technology to help channel energy, and to concentrate the mental-activated powers to be more deadly.

Brief Personality Description: Educated, controlling, snippy, energetic and feminine, Physic Defiance is an ideal leader and will almost never cower. She can sometimes talk tougher than she is, and stress can make her seem uncaring or mean. But she is plagued by bad luck... Seemingly only counterbalanced when in the presence of those far luckier than she.

Goals and motivators: She feels that rather than protect the innocents of Paragon, that it is her duty to destroy the evil-doers and their agendas. And she wants to explore the possibilities of science, and it's advances, as a weapon.

Does your character care about Freedom Corps/Arachnos?: She's indifferent to Freedom Corps: She will respect their authority, but mainly she does her own thing.

A typical quote from your character:
"Of course that room would be full of filthy abominations. Why wouldn't there be? It's not like I had just been looking for the bathroom, or anything. I expected them."

Do Heroes or Villains Recognize your character, if so how: They don't recongise her other than the fact that she's a registered hero.

History: As a child growing up in a tough neighbourhood, with a tough family, and a tough life, no one expected Alexis Canning to be anything more than a cashier - or, at the most, a bus driver. But, bad luck or not, she thrust herself upon the the science world, and finally made a name of herself.

She had always been fascinated by the superheroes she saw flying or running over her city, which was a few hundred miles from Paragon, but which was passed over by heroes going places. She wanted to discover how they could do those law-bending tricks and things.

She moved to Paragon, and set up a Lab.

In the rough years to come, where most of her progress degrossed her back to square one, she made some cash at Crey Industries, helping with the more complicated projects. This funded her enough to get back on her feet.

Years later, she had become recongised globally, but had made no real progress on the super-hero issue. She had proved that time travel was possible, that faster-than-light travel was not only possible - it was being done. (The passengers were often queasy, as it required that they die for a few minutes as their existance becomes nothing. But the important thing is that it works.) gravity, she proved, was the strongest element in the globe: but it was dialuded because it could slip in between dimensions.

Anyway, she was thought to have perished in a tragic accident involving anti-matter, and never surfaced again.

Alexis took this chance to zip over to the Hero Registration desk, clutching a handful of useful gadgets, and her mind humming with possibilities. Physic Defiance was born.
  10. ((You guys really do everything in your power to avoid a long-term roleplay, don't you? -le sigh-

Unfortunatly, that's all I'm used to. Welcome to the COH forums, Bagle.))

Ruggaso had been about to put the hurt on Kairaishi, when a forklift rudely prevented him from getting any further.
As with anyone hit by a forklift - shielded by solid fire or not - he was thrown backward and slammed into the hard ground.

His head connected to the earth with a dull thunk, and he immediatly left the world of the consoncious. The flames dimmed and then expired as he closed his eyes to the pain and the world.

Hidden lept the distance between him and the decomisioned hero, and immediatly applied radiation to the crumbling stone. Rugg asended into the air as his body pieced itself together, then glazed over with a fresh, pink skin. He stepped lightly to the grass, mumbling under his breath as he saw the two villians had fled.

The teleporter was in a melted, fragmented pile on the ground. He had landed on it when he fell. He cursed. Hidden's mouth twitched wryly, as he saw the object of Hidden's bad mood.

"They always gat away, mate. That's how it goes in this world."

    Rugg snarled and stalked away.

Hidden shrugged and slipped into the crowd of heroes, who were looking dejected.

    ----

Physic didn't react in time to do anything to help the other hero. She instead made a movement to attack Jord, but the woman was gone with a breath.

Physic stood straight and relaxed her shoulders. The carnage and bodies lay around the field like rubbage. The wind blew her violet hair gently. She whispered,

"Iron Fist. You and I will meet in battle some day."

((If this were a movie, the camera would track out and up to show the field with all the heroes staring at the dissapearing ships. Physic would be alone in the middle, and then everything would fade to black to dramatic music.

So I guess that's my part done. I'm sure I'll see yous around again. Maybe I'll finally get to unwind my little plot... If you don't cut everything short. :P Kidding. it was fun.))
  11. Physic heard the call for action, gladly unleashing the gravity like an eager puppy waiting for a romp.

It sucked steadily at Jord, slowing her movements. On a lesser foe, it would have halted them completly, leaving them helpless as a newborn.

Physic was slightly despirited to see that the warrior-girl could still move. But she quickly went through the motions, concentrating heavily as she pulled a forklift from thin air and tossed it at the villian. Then she increased the gravity again, slowing the movements of the villian even more.

Physic readied herself for the attack, saving enough energy to create the repulsion bubble, and maintain it for some time.

    ---

Rugg panted heavily as part of his essential rock was stripped from his body. An oily layer of black fluid oozed down his legs, pooling at his feet. Again the fire flared, but this time it didn't carry the rock back to his body, for the rock was already gone to the wind. This time it became denser and denser, hotter and hotter, until it almost turned into a solid state.

Solidified fire - must have been a first in this planet's history. Rugg knew that it was an amazing material for an armour, and it was great for building unscalable walls.

The stone creature laughed, even though he had lost an inch of body all around.

"I wouldn't be so cocky, seeing as you are lying on the ground in a pathetic heap." Rugg, however tough he may talk, knew that this was almost over. If he took some more destructive blows, his captured essence would dissentegrate, as he was losing energy. the fire shield would hold out for maybe a minute and a half, before he fell and imitated Archlich's position.

Then he would have to rely on his fists alone, and he would have to be careful not to lose anymore of the binding fluid. Without it, he would have no energy to hold himself together.

He would turn into sand and spirit.

In a last, desperete attempt to end this before they teleported away - or worse, broke him apart, - Rugg turned his sights away from the skeleton who was prone and exhausted on the ground.

He eyed the puppeteer and his remaining minion, assessing things as quickly as he could. He bent over, ripped up a chunk of earth, and hurled it at the Mastermind, following the rock as it flew through the air, and throwing a fistfull of the super-heated fire at the Villian's body.

The mace appeared in his fist again. Rugg would go down screaming for blood.
  12. Physic stepped toward the battling trio for a moment, uncertain, but left them alone for the time. She, personally, hated it when someone jumped into her battle when she was doing fine. She only appreciated the gesture if she was in the "red zone", as Hidden called it.

Speaking of the intangiable pink hero, what could he possibly be doing? Without the constant barrage of enemy fire, most of the heroes had been succesfully raised and healed, and the healers were now just observing, patrolling, and healing small wounds. She didn't see much pink in the crowd, and she couldn't fathom what he could be doing while invisible.

In fact he wasn't invisible - he ahd entierly shifted dimensions, was completly intangiable. He left no impressions as he passed, felt no pressure as someone apssed through his shadowed body.

He was watching three villians duke it out. At least, he thought it was three villians - but the datafiles said it was a decomissioned hero. No longer holding hero status, the tanker, Ruggaso, had been downgraded to... well, a supervillian. Hidden shook his head, feeling the cold nibbling at his fingertips. His suit was thickly insulated to keep him warn when he engaged stealth mode, but body heat sometimes wasn't enough.

He stood by, interested to see what would happen.

((My heroes have been reduced to spectators - I cna't put them any further in without powerplaying... or whatever the term would be. Godknowledge. Or something.))
  13. ((Geeze, Blarg, you like to get out quite early. -shrug-.

Oh, and I guess I'll give you a bit of a description of Rugg, so you know what you're dealing with.

Ruggaso used to be a normal man, who had a bad habit that severly comprimised his health. He liked to poke around at things that were supernatural, paranormal... And he just happened to poke at a complicated plot for earth's domination by a powerful race from the far reches of the galaxy - and who lived partly in a different dimension.

His body was instantly posessed by one of these creatures, who had by then advanced and developed technology to harness a planet's strongest elements, and use them for a body, as they had a very flimsy molecular existance.

Rugg usually has skin, but in tough battle he burns the only human part away to get rid of the pain. His inside is made out of stone, held together by that black, thick fluid, not unlike molasses.

The only way to defeat him is to break him down into little bits, and drain the fluid away. It will take him a long time to regenerate. When he gets hurt he can heal himself, or command the earth the coat him in rock armour to keep himself together, but as his energy levels drop, the armour will come undone and he will crumble, (Rise of the Phoenix comes with his tanker set, so he might rez himself depengding on the situation.). He cannot actually die.

So, in RP, he has any powerset that has to do with earth, stone or fire, be it blaster, controller or tanker.))

Rugg was on his feet again, decicing to take this battle and turn it. This was not just a skirmish for kicks anymore. This was getting personal.

He stomped on the gorund again, but for a moment nothing happened. Then, with an omnous rumbling, the earth cracked and exploded in a widening ripple of stalagmites ((or stalagtites...)), fencing in his opponants. He roared triumphantly, letting pride rule his judgement for a moment, and he moved to pound the narest being into a pulp. It happened to be one of the Puppets.

((Are the still invisible? Are they still on fire? lol.))
  14. ((yay! we're all here! But I'll have to leave after this post.))

it was as he was about to punch the skeleton in the face that his chest exploded in a forceful smattering of stone and black-sih fluid.

    "-bleep!-"

Rugg turned on his heel and swiped at the air, catching nothing. He did, however, catch a glance at his torso. There was a rather large hole to the left, rihgt where his heart should have been.

he looked at the ground, seeing a few splotched of black, oily fluid. He rolled his eyes to the heavens, and then the flames of his aura turned green, carrying bits and fragments of stone from the ground upward, depositing the pebbles in the hole. It quickly turned into a pit, then a dent, and then only a strange sort of crater on his body.

"Where'd you go, you stinking coward! Come and do your own work, don't hide and use your puppets."

Rugg caught two of the creatures in either hand, deflecting their attack. The rest (Idon't know how many you ahve) hit him full on, sending him backward, down on the ground. The Skeleton leered down at him.
  15. Rugg sighed as part of his rib was sheered off, and a strange sort of tingling feeling ramained.

Magic, the little mother-bleeper- uses magic. The tool of the weak.

Rugg recongised the strange after-tingle from his numerous skirmishes with the Circle, low-life weaklings that manupulated forces thay didn't understand to do their work. He knew what would come of them. They would never see it coming.

"Apparently you're not a movie buff. let me OUTLINE it for you."

At the mention of "Outline," Rugg crouched and lept to his current target, coming to rest at the skeleton's feet. he straightened up, the stone mace in his hand, flames licking at the grass.

"A bunch of pirates Steal some cursed gold." He bobbed and danced lithely.
"This curse makes them immortal - unable to die."
He swung the stone weapon at Archlich's skull.

"But it also makes them unable to feel anything. They trun into skeletons in the moonlight."
Archlich ducked his blow, and Rugg swung himself around, letting the mace pull him in a rotation. he continued.
"In one part they fight for a good long time. They can't defeat each other."

He drops the mace, which crumlbles into dust, and raises his fists instead, preparing to hit the magic-user in the face.
  16. Physic had been reletivly closed to the battle as she tried to sort out the major problems. Now she was exposed to the gruesome details of the scene. It pained her that she couldn't help each individual hero, but that she could only try to keep the mass of them more-or-less alive. She saw one of the heroes she had transported in resuresting a stocky blaster. Orange Berret winked at her, tipped his orange headgear, and rushed off to raise another hero, injecting both a blue- and orange-tinted liquid into his body as he did so.

A few feeble shields were glowing over the field, and a good deal of smoke and haze drifted around her feet. Physic saw that the section of field she was in was clear of trouble, so she pressed on.

The Wolf-Spider-Warrior-guy was still there, she was surprised to see. She had thought that he would have retreated with the others. He was fighting a woman, who seemed vaguely familiar to Physic, but it could just be a common face. There was a hero among them, and Physic frowned.

Two supervillians against one Hero? That didn't seem right at all. She Manuvered closer to the trio, prepared to intervene and even out the odds if things got messy. In the meantime she took a few bullets to her stomach - re-opening the wound form the very beginning.

Physic Defiance gasped as it was a blaster who had hit her, a slim female holding a hulking machine gun. Physic flashed her the middle finger and lept into the air, immediatly holding the woman in place with the help of dense gravity, and then stealing some of her energy to repair the damage to her body.

She fought against her own kind with a closed mind.
  17. The tanker got tangled in a mess of invisible wood, fabric and porcelin, which promptly caught fire. He staggered back as the very air seemed to burn, emmiting a streak of black smoke into the air. He didn't even see Archlich's attack until it hit him in the chest.

He felt a vague sort of pressure, and watched as part of his rock chest crumbled away. Ruggaso grunted indifferently - eventually the bits of rock he had lost would find its way back to his body. Maybe even within the next year. That would be nice.

But now that he was filled with pride and luck, he turned his horned head to stare at the skeleton. His eyes glared with a deadly power. None of this " If looks could kill" crap, because Rugg knew dead well that a single loock could kill a man. Unortunatly, he had not quite mastered this skill, and usually all that happened was that the victim got a mild headache and a nosebleed.

Apparently skeletons couldn't get nosebleeds, so Rugg made one last effort to avoid the ineveidble.

"Have you ever seen the Pirates of the Carribean?"

The question was perhaps random on the surface, but Rugg rarely waster critical moments in the middle of a fight chatting about blockbuster hits and famous actors. (however handsome and incredible they are.)

There had been one scene that had intreguied him, and he thought it would apply to the situation. Then again, if the walking pile of bones didn't watch much film then Rugg would have to make his point in another fashion.
  18. ((Physic and Hidden, on the other hand, have to deal with hell. And excuse the grammar and spelling - I'm not using Word today.))

Physic was tuned into the hero frequency when everything went to hell. She almost forgot the block the punch that came at her head, but she ducke at the last minute and sent a moderate uppercut into the Arachnos soldier's jaw. His teeth cracked together and he reeled backward. She slipped into the crowd for some privacy.

It took her a full minute to come to the realisation of what was happening. She tuned her dial to the specialty channal, and spoke urgently to Hidden.

"Something's up - They've got some confusion rays. Everyone's turning on each other. Heroes are falling to heroes."

HIdden responded immediatly, his voice panicked and rushed.

"The hospitals were destroyed. medi-porters down. Heroes did it. I've got one on the other frequency, I'll patch you through."

Physic ducked behind a handy rock and pressed herself against it. She watched two Arachnos fighting each other, and then one of them fell, a bullet through his brain. Sniper. The thoughts loomed like grey clouds, about to part and show her the light, but...

"Are you the leader? We have problems. Heroes are going bezerk, they killed a lot of us. They aren't confused, they're following someone's orders -"

It clicked. She let a strangled moan, a picture forming in her mind's eye. The fish-thing. A vehicle. Iron Fist. Insane man. Christ. But the poor hero on the radio kept going.

"I've got as many supplies as I can carry, there's three more with me. The others - they're searching. They'll find us soon. Help! Oh god, they heard us. Please-"

Physic did what she did out of reflex. She concentrated on the hero's voice, ignoring the shrieks and sounds of battle that now filtered over the line. The hero appeared beside her, in the battle stance, and blinking in confusion. he choked out, "Help the other three!" and a second hero appeared beside him.

Then the third, and the forth. They were in progressivly bad state, and Physic demanded an energy booster form the first one. She grimaced as she saw it was in a epi-pen-style syringe, but that also ment that it was more powerful. She stabbed it into her leg, and immediatly gelt the difference.

HIdden was teleported to her side.

"Heal them. Scan the datafiles, tell me the names of as many healers as you can find in Paragon who are of security clearence."

Hidden emmited healthy radiation, modified the bodies of the nearby heroes to regenerate faster, filled them with energy. Then he checked the list.

"Lenient Star, Orange Beret, Healer126, Giver of Life, Blue Giver, Terrence the Great and Relife."

"Notify them that we need their help, tell me when you get the answer. Stealth me first, I'll be back."

Physic felt the coldness melt over her body, the feeling that resuluted from the lack of light hitting her body. It had been proven that if a person remained invisible for extended periods of time, they could develop mild hypothermia. This wasn't the in the top ten of worry-faactors for Physic.

He took a handful of the needles and vials, and whisked off to hand out the goods. She informed every hero she came across of the severe problems. Many of them shuddered. One or two promptly teleported away, presumably back to Paragon. She didn't blame them.

Hidden came though. "Five of them agreed to come, they are prepared for teleportation."

Physic smiled grimly to herself, and pulled the five heroes across the ocean, downing two vials of energy in between concentration.

She breifed them quickly, instructed them to aid every hero they came across, but if they became hostile to incapaciate them and mark them as spies.

Physic then waded into the sea of heroes, perring around, noticing somethign was missing. The Arachnos soldiers had retreated - it was only the rogue heroes that they w re fighting, and a small handful of soldiers.

She shuddered with guilt, and went to take care of one of the rogue controllers who was pulling down with ice attacks.
  19. ((Sorry guys, really and treeibly sorry. It was a rought week at school, two major tests and three projects. -sigh-

Anyways, my computer also went kaput and I forgot my password so I couldn't get onto the forums. I did read some of it though. But I'm back. So, here I go with the catching up, sorry if I miss anything, I only skimmed the posts.))

Rugg growled at Archlich, Pondering what to do with the guy. It was a major nuisence to have two immortals go at it. I mean, they could fight until the end of time. Oh well, he'd do his best.

The berif appearence of a soldier, distracted him berifly, and he eyed the teleportation device sadly. He would of course use it, and destroy as many villians at the appearence spot as he possibly could, but at the moment the tanker couldn't touch the device. The heat of his aura would melt the wiring, and render the object useless.

Ah well. He had bigger things to worry about. Like the fact that Kairaishi had just gone invisible. Well, stealthy, but that was a minor technicality that Rugg was glad to remember.

"What do I use when my sense of sight fail me? Well, my eyes of course."

He chuckled to himself. Many, many heroes and villians forgot some critical information when they went stealthy - or invisible, for that matter. Just because they could avoid the visible spectrum of light, that didn't mean that their mass was in anyway affected. They still left footprints. The grass still bent under their feet. The air still moved as they passed.

They still engaged every sense that a hero could posess - though it was, granted, harder to aim at something you couldn't see.

Rugg decided to try anyways. He stomped his foot, rumbling the earth and unsteadying his opponants for a breif moment. that moment was all he needed. He stormed forward, fire burning in his hair and his horns tilted downward to catch whatever bit of flesh he could. His fists were ready to pound anything he touched. He snorted the sweat out of his nose like a bull would, as he charged to a spot where the grass was percularily dented. He was not ashamed that he could be going in the opposite direction. In fact, he rather expected that he was bearing down on a patch of air.

The real point was that -if- he was heading to the right spot, he'd gore the puny man right through.

((I figured that Rugg couldn't have cared less about what was going on around him. So everyhting's basicly the same.))
  20. ((Oh, forgot to tack this on:

Before I post again... I just want to be absolutly sure of the circumstances. All the Arachnos troops are gone, except for the SV Wolf Spider Warrior. Iron Fist and Vim are gone, too.

And... you're gonna tag all the Villians with teleporters, and then evacuate from right under the heroe's noses? (Don't worry, none of the heroes will find out unless someone lets somethign slip IC. I'm not a lamer. :P)

Just checking. If there's somehting I missed, please tell me.))
  21. ((Clearing some things up. Sorry, Blarg, I didn't do the explanation very well IC. Here's an overview:

It was just a half-formed plot/idea/thing I kinda liked, just to connect the Chars a bit more. You see, since Physic was so impressed – well, at least a bit respectful – of iron Fist, she tired to help him the best she could. When she heard of his capture, she pulled a lot of strings and called in a few favours to keep him from being executed… Instead she got him a –blank- long prison term. He did help save Paragon, after all. But if that conflicts with anything you had said, or anything about iron Fist's past, just tell me and I'll go back and edit it out.

And, a small theory of mine: When someone falls in battle, the do not actually die. The medi-porters activate and zip them back to the hospital where they're returned to full health. (If they are unconscious, without a chance of waking up within a short period of time, they'd be TP'd, Or, if they were on the brink of death. Healers can also help them in this point.)
But, if they receive no help, or the medi-porter is overloaded with traffic, the hero may not be revived in time and will actually perish. No chance of coming back. Kaput.
    Anyways, what do yas think?))
  22. Rugg drew his fists back as soon as they connected, and he stood ready and flaming some feet away. He laughed rather cruelly at Kairaishi's words, his amusement evident in his response.

"Sounds like less of an interest and more of a fetish. To each his own, I suppose."

Rugg's eyes darted to the side, away from the strange hat he had been eying with a smirk of slight disbelief. The sound of breaking glass had directed his attention to the crumpling ningyo, and he was slightly alarmed to see another doll some sliding down from heaven. Or climbing up from hell, whatever the case be.

"For ten bucks? Hell, I'd turn your skin inside out and steal your heart for money like that. " The sarcasm was heavy, but Rugg was still dealing with the reluctance that came with the thrashing of relatively innocent men.
The plan had been to just knock the guy unconscious, toss him to the side to either be teleported to a base somewhere, or wake up with a screaming headache a few hours later.

But things had to be complicated by the arrival of Archlich.

Ruggaso scowled deeply at the skeleton. The undead were a pain in the as' to deal with. Either you broke them or they broke you – sometimes numerous times. And, of course, some didn't die if you simply /broke/ them into little bits. You had to do some crazy spells, make some sacrifices, curse their grave.

It could drive a man crazy.

Rugg, not really wanting to deal with ancient rituals and animated bones, cursed the walking bag of bones and, in so many words, told him to get lost. This wasn't his fight.

He eyed the icy armour from under knitted brows. Fight fire with fire? Or fire with water?

    How about both?

Rugg turned up the heat that swirled around his body, and the flames moved up his body. His skin began to blister again, then to burn. He grunted in mute agony as the fire shield burnt away all his flesh and revealed the stone underneath. Now that there was no flesh to feel the pain, he could keep the battle going until he literally fell apart.

Anything constructed of ice would melt as soon as it reached the flames. Wood stood no chance. ((Going a bit beyond the game here, tell me if you object.)) Fire was useless – it would only aid his aura. He flicked his wrist and the staligmite- tipped mace constrocted itself in his hands.

"Move it, bonehead. I don't have the patience to deal with the likes of you. My beef is with the doll-obsessed guy and his puppets."
  23. Ruggaso was distracted from his eavesdropping by something he couldn't quite place his finger on. It was only when an explosion lit up half of the sky that he realised - the noises he had casually attributed to the sounds of riot had been growing steadily louder and more violent. Something big was going down. He had to see that it was.

Without a word to the Villians surrounding him, Ruggaso thundered arcoss the prison yard, picking up speed and velocity, untill he reached that perfect point: He bounded straight into the air and streaked over the prison wall, a tail of sparks and fire marking his passage. ((Ever see someone with SuperSpeed -and- Superjump? Yeah. Like a comet.))

The tanker landed in the middle of a skirmish between a lithe scrapper and a hulking Arachnos. Rugg stuck a flaming punch into the soldier's helmet, and the man folded over, screaming and clutching his melted face. Rugg kicked him heavily in the spine, and the man was teleported to the hospital.

he nodded at the staring hero, then lumbered off to do what he could. Ruggaso didn't have to fight fair, after all. He was no hero. Just a convicted killer who had a higher calling and who answered to no one on this planet.

Ah, this was interesting. Very interesting indeed. Strings. And a Ninja?
It was the robed guy with the silly hat who owned it.. Ruggaso shook his head sadly. He felt no remorse for smashing a puppet - but once he got around to taking out the leader, it would be something to overcome his true identity.

He shuddered violently and launched himself at the nearest - and only visible- doll-thing, punching it's porclin (?) face with flaming fists. He gripped the supporting strings with the other fist, hoping that maybe he could burn thorugh them. Unfortunatly, they were re-enforced with some material he didn't recongise, ((I mean, if they were just normal string.. Anyone could just come at them with scissors... lol.)) so he had to do it the old fashioned way. Take out the leader.

His Rugged senses tingling ((haha. Couldn't resist)), the Tanker dropped the half- destroyed doll on the ground, hunting the scene with all his senses tuned for a sign of a horned hat or a slip of robes. Of course he knew that it was Kairaishi - his imprint was all over the stringed contraption. It was just a matter of finding- ah ha!

Rugg lept suddenly and extensivly over the battle zone, landing with an earth-rocking THUMP! some three meters from where Kairaishi sat in hiding.

"Little old to be playing with dolls, aren't you?" Ruggaso growled, joking to make his task a little easier. His body exploded in a whirlewind of heat and fire, and the Tanker crossed the distance before the mastermind could even aim that shotgun of his. He deprived the Villian of the chance to answer by unging at him with rock-hard fists aimed for his chest.

Physic heard her name, and her head turned to seek out the speaker. She was a little surprised as it had mentioned Hidden too, and it had been said aloud - not on the hero-only radio frequency. Her eyes found the speaker, and it took only a short moment for her to realise what this was all to mean. She froze in her tracks as she saw one of the few Villians that she almost respected. His eye glinted dangerously in the firelight and a path of wounded heroes lay behind him. She muttered an explicitive. Then a profanity. Then something about your mother. AND your cousin. Then the first word again.

That was in the two seconds before she breathed to Hidden, who was just as shocked as Physic was - though not as verbal about it.

    "Stealth me."

She was immediatly stealthed, the sensation of being stared through was a slight comfort. HIdden dropped into stealth mode along side her, his wavering, shadowed form indicating his position. They slid into the crowd, passing unnoticed by their enemies and allies. Physic doubled back for an instant, right up to Iron Fist's ear.

"I tried to help you." she whispered, before she left in that flash of light that indicated she had teleported away.

She had saved him from Death Row. It was the best she had been able to do - she was only a moderate-class Hero, after all. And he was a notorious Villian. I mean, C'mon. There was only so much a girl could do for a guy like him.

"Hidden, give me numbers. How many do we have left?"

Hidden stopped by a relativly safe-looking pile of rocks, and read the data to her.
"Forty-seven heroes on the field, four of which are in critical - scratch that. Forty-five heroes, three of which are in critical condition. We have seventeen at the hospital, three on the way back... and four are missing altogether. Presumed dead."

".. Christ. And the Power breakdown?"

"Still roughly balanced; most of the ones at the hosp were rangers, though. We've got more punch than squishies on the field."

"Okay, get a hold of all the ones in the medi-tent, tell them to bring as many supplies as they can carry. Especially concentrate on the Blues and Greens. "

"Blues 'n greens, got it. Anything else?"

"Drill it into the remaining fielders that the shields are key. Then get out there and get as many fighters up and walking as you can - divide the healers into three ranks: one for the Punchers, one for the Rangers, and one to patrol."

Physic had already flashed away as Hidden raised one hand in salute, and said smartly "aye aye, Sir!" before going about his duties.

Physic had other things to attend to. She tuned into the local frequency, listening in to the reports.

    "Healer down, southeast, need revification.."
"Out of power, kinetics shield failing fast..."
"Pile the ice on that guy - he's not strong enough to shatter it"
"I'm trying, but they keep breaking my concentration-"

Physic shook her invisable head, and spoke reassuringly into her mouthpiece, promising re-enforcements form the hospital as well as lots of supplies. She lent some tips, and many others chipped in as well, offering experienced advice to the front and back lines.

    Stalemate.

Physic scanned the ground and the air to see where that Spider-warrior guy had gotten to. There he was, shaking off the holds and immobilises as if they were water. She shuddered as her stealth wore out, and immediatly re-constructed her bubble, downing the last vial of blue-tinted energy she had.

    They better show up soon.
  24. ((No Prob, Remember, Paragon only sent their best and brightest. We can handle whatever you dish out. But that black-clad figure wasn't /ment/ to be Wolf Spider. I guess it's cool that it was. ))

Physic barely registered what was going down in front of her eyes. The figure that she had so casually held was actually the Villian she had just warned everyone about. Her eyes narrowed. He stomped. Half the front line went down on their backs, all fighting stopped momentarily. Blasters, Trollers and battle-inclined defenders stared death in the face as a row of Arachnos stood and fired.

Physic threw herself into the hard dirt, pulling two others with her. The two female heroes at her side moaned as they connected with the unyielding ground, but Physic knew they were better off down there.

"SHIELDS NOW!" Physic yelled into her mouthpiece. all around her technology clicked, spells were chanted, eyes closed in concentration... And then there was the sound of bullets and bolts of pure energy being expelled harmlessly off of the layered wall of defense.

"'Trollers! hold the enemy at bay! Blasters, get a good aim while they're immobolised! We need some debuffing."

Physic tugged forcefully at the gravity surrounding the arachnos troops - and that brute of a villian. The air became like glue, and a few of the men were pulled to the ground as the gravity overtook them. Physic stood up, striding across the field, scouting out the healers and reviving them the best she could.

"Healers, do your job while the enemy is prone! Get the tanks up and running first, Scrapps can hold out for a bit longer."

As everyone in the back line got to their feet in varying stages of shock, the group of hereos looked very rag-tag and forlorn. Physic stood at the front of the line - in front of the heroes that society had labled "Squishy", and she knew that society was wrong. Under her triple-layered shield of defense, Physic yelled sharply.

"Ladies, Gents. Get your -bleeps- off the ground and get to turning the tide!"

"Yes ma'am!" The air shouted in her ear, and she prodded Hidden in his invisable chest. The man, still in stealth mode, spoke into his mouthpiece.

"Healers, here's a proposition. Y'all get bubbled up, and I'll personally cast you in the shadow of stealth."

Physic smiled. The Villians were in for a fight.

    -----

The ground at the arachnos's feet erupted as mountains of stone and ice shot up to incapacitate the soldiers. The air filled with screames as invisable foes held others at bay - haunting illusions cast the the more talented of the controllers. A handful of fire imps danced aorund their feet, chanting and crackling. Jack Frost punched someone in the face. Rings of fire surround the feet of any who were not yet captured.

Arrows, electricity, rains of fire and ice and a few bullets hurtled into the ranks of men defending the prision.

And the healers did their job wonderfully. The army was back, down perhaps fifteen heroes - who would arrive back from the hospitals soon - and, though their opposing force was powerful and numerous heroes fell - they felt as if the tide was turning.
  25. Impressive amount of thought and work went into this. -smile.-

And, echoing kell's comment, I'm glad I know a bit about him. Especially becasue Ruggaso know's all about him. AND you even managed to give me an excuse not to kill him! Yay!

Very well done. And I don't know whaere you got Mary-sue (Actually a gary-sue, since he's a guy..) from that. You've got some subtle weaknesses there, personality flaws and whatnot... 'sides, he IS a supervillian. What else can we expect?
