The Ultimate Teleport Bind - The Program
thx...been looking for something like this
Just a note to everybody.
Thank you for all your postive comments!
I realize there are flaws with this bind and this program in general. I keep my eye on this thread and want to let all of you know that I still intend to update both the program and the bind sometime in the future.
Unfortunately, I work and go to college full time, so I don't have a lot of spare time. Just keep an eye out and if ever I get a free moment and some motivation, there will be an update.
I'm noticing an error message every time I go into teleport mode, and each time I teleport. I get the system message "Unknown Command".
I've figured out this is due to the "+ " and "- " at the beginning of some of those strings in the text files, which is also what makes it act as a toggle. Is there soemthing I'm doing wrong, or should I just expect this error message? Also, is there a way to toggle off this message while I'm teleporting?
Awesome program, awesome binds! Thanks for the hard work!
There's a solution to this in the CityBinder discussion thread
The program look very nice. When I try to run it I get this error. "Component 'COMCTL32.OCX' or one of its depencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"
I'm running win xp pro. Any ideas?
this program looks pretty sweet, unfortunately i can't get it to run in vista.. and I do have UAC turned off. hopefully we'll get an update sometime. stone tanks would love you...
You just made my day for my WS!!! Can't wait to tell my RL friends about this!! They are gonna love this since Tp was a great power with a horrible learning curve. Warburg here I come!
Hey guys, if you want to look up CityBinder, there's a more up-to-date version of this bind rolled into there.
I'm kind of leery of CityBinder at the moment, due to the extra baggage of dealing with the Speed on Demand runaway bugs just to get the TP binds.

in the file teleport_off.txt you need to modify the beging.
where is has the "+ $$ change to "+down$$-down$$
this will still allow the key to function as a toggle but prevent any movement.
is the citybinder program dead - i found a link to it on sourceforge but all the posts on the boards are dead
Hey, lay off the Raise Thread.
Yes, the program is pretty much dead. However, I would note that you really don't need it.
In the past, the solution was to use:
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>/bind ctrl+lbutton powexecname Teleport</pre><hr />
so that whenever you did ctrl-left click, you immediately teleported to exactly where your cursor was within line-of-sight, bypassing the reticle.
In recent times, however, to make for a one-handed teleporting solution, some people use:
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>/bind mousechord powexecname Teleport</pre><hr />
so that you click both mouse buttons to bring up the targetting reticle, allowing you to teleport one-handed.
As for speed on demand, it's complex, prone to breaking, and doesn't keep up with combat well anymore.
Mods, can you lock this thread, please?

How about no. City Binder may be dead, but my bind is very much alive. The program I made is still available for download too. I haven't updated it in god knows how long, but I still use it as do a number of people I know. The way my bind works is different for either method you explained.
It can turn teleport into a ghetto toggle where the reticle is always up so that you can teleport yourself with ease. And, it can easily be changed to be all controlled from the mouse.
The whole reason I created this bind was because I found the old '/bind ctrl+lbutton powexecname Teleport' bind to be dissappointing.
For that matter, I use Speed on Demand still as well. There's the occasional hiccup, but the good outweighs the bad in my opinion.
So, please, if this thread for whatever reason bothers you because it's old, don't look at it. I still get PMs regarding this topic.

Ditto, when I went to look, its gone. Does it have a new home?

I tried installing the program this afternoon and encountered an obstacle I would like to know if anyone else seen. During the installation process the program informs me I have components that are out of date and need to be updated. Giving the program permission to update these files prompts to reboot for the changes to take place. After rebooting I launch the setup program again and I am once again prompted to update component files.
Doing some research on the net I found the problem on the Microsoft support page found here .
I tried resetting the TEMP directories and performing everything in safe mode. I also verified the registry key was set correctly before the system was rebooted. However after every reboot the old files would remain and the new ones would not replace them.
I then tried to do it manually but approximately 5 seconds after coping the new resource file located on the CAB file provided in the 2 Meg zip the old one would over write back into the system32 directory. Has anyone else had this problem and if so were you able to develop a work around?
This is on a Win2000 SP4 machine. If relevant I have both Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed. Thank you very much.

You may want to try CityBinder. DrLetharga Contributed these teleport binds to CityBinder, and I am constantly updating. My system also does not rely on any external components.
