That's why I love Doc Why. 
I liked this article. It really led me through the whole Arena concept, from outside the building to inside the selection process. I haven't read much about what this will be like (yeah, I'm the one), so this was a very good intro to the idea.
It made sense to write it from a sports point of view. The place looks like a stadium. And, to the heroes, it is a game in a game.
Nice work! Cover the Sox much?

You could do a piece about the bridges of Paragon City. I have been wondering about Valor Bridge for a long time.
Why does it take the long route across the harbor?
Why such a big bridge if all it connects to is a power station? (most industrial support is handled by barge--much cheaper if the loads are large but the traffic is low).
Another possible piece: Write about security arrangements at the Zig. Generally, I think the reputation among Heros is that it leaks like a sieve, but the view might be different from the inside...
I concur with the esteemed Doctor Why about it feeling at times like the article is one of those "informecials" that the news has been getting hounded about here in the U.S. for lately.
But, if that turns into part of the story, well, hats off to you Gil and co.
In thinking about it more, I contemplated the fact that the main problem for me, instead of the IG/OOG complaint, may actually be it's "discuss-ability" factor. One of the things I liked about the other articles was that almost every time a new thread or two popped up on the boards to discuss some of the info in them. Sometimes they were IG discussions: "Why is Statesman upset with Calvin Scott?" Sometimes they were OOG discussions: "The Paragon Times article points out the lack of diverse building skins in the city".
And the really good ones, for me anyone, cause threads of both types to pop up.
So, I rescind the IG/OOG comment on my original post.

Most anyone that is asked to do a piece for a local rag will research. Whether or not the Doc used to be Boxing Promoter etc....I believe he would still look at the construction and then hit the internet/local library to answer his own (and his readers) questions.
Even if he only went to a community college, a fine arts/architecture introductory course is required by most states, so he would have read the word "Butress" somewhere before.
Just my spin.
Oh and Gil, keep some perspective on all this feedback will ya? You just keep writing the stuff that you feel is best, and don't take anything too personal. It is the writers burden....
