Founded in March, 2004 during the CoH Beta, The Department Of Inter-Dimensional Defense is very happy to announce we're still going strong with a brand new website, 80+ registered members, Large SG base with all the trimmings, small Altgroup base used for Transportation (all beacons to all zones), and 2 level 50 charcter SG's.
We run a regular teaming night where players have started together from level 1 and are now in their mid 40's by playing 2 hours twice a week together in a full team of 8.
Our Villains group is located on the Protector Server to allow us as many heroes slots on Justice as possible.

Theme: ((Years ago, The Super-Powered gang known as The Freakshow started a few chapters in major cities. A few Freakshow members from Rhode Island went down to Miami and started a chapter called the Miami Freakshow, but their leader was killed. They decided to become an independant satellite Chapter, and re-named themselves the Gutter Freaks. Back In Rhode Island, the leader of the original Freakshow, known as Dreck, paid little attention when he heard the news.
About a year later, they moved to the Rogue Isles to see what was goin on with the original Freakshow, and bring some conventional drugs (which had all been "kicked out" of Paragon accordin' to the Paragon Universe)...and to get a better supply of 'Dyne, Outbreak, Excelsior and what other designer drugs Paragon and the Isles have to offer.
When they had been in Rhode Island for a little while they figured Freakshow was weak, and the Gutter Freaks could slowly take thier place.))

Other Info: Even though this SG is a Comic Book based SG, we still try our hardest to uphold the EULA Rules. So please, when creating a costume, keep a certain degree of originality. When creating a name, please do not indicate who you are making your tribute to, otherwise you will only be disappointed later when you are nerfed.
We have a Team Speak Server and team together as often as possible, but we do prefer you are enhanced with SO's before SKing you to higher levels. Otherwise, we try and play our lowbies to accommodate new members when possible. We run Task Forces at least once a week. We do have Power Leveling available, but it is not something we strive to do. It is only something that is a very occasional treat to reward for staying in SG mode. So if Power Leveling is what you are after, this is the wrong SG. We have a nice base with some of the goodies to help you out through your career along with Inspiration Storages to help you get through those low level blues.
Theme: We are focused on Comic Book Heroes and Villains. When we are all teamed together, the feel of this SG becomes apparent. Though we are a themed SG, we do not RP. We are just a group of people who are becoming good friends and having a good time playing a great game.
There are only 8 people allowed in this SG at one time for one simple reason....Nobody ever gets left out. So for this same reason, you can bring as many alts into the SG as you wish as long as they are Comic Book oriented. There is however one exception to this rule, you can have one character in the SG who has nothing to do with Comics. This character is usually your "Bank" who plays outside of SG mode. You are not expected to wear the SG colors or Symbols, as your Costume you create *is* the SG costume.

Conduct: There is very few restrictions in this villain group. Many solo villains find the VG to fit their style and goals.
