Wth DB you have the choice of a) take all the powers for the combos or b) take the combos you are going to use. I have a 50 DB stalker, and a baby Ice/DB. For the stalkers I only use 2 or 3 combos per build. A ST build with Attack Vitals and Power Up, and a AOE with sweep and weaken (and PU of course)
For my tank he will be getting Weaken and Sweep. The idea of a 8ft foot stomp, AFTER a cone KD makes me smile, and a PBAoE that debuffs tohit rolls greater than Dark melee makes me giggle (Hint: HOs are cool)

Just dual build it!!!
One with all the armors, meta slotting and the like.
Second on Granite for those OMG moments.
MP for both.
Switch as needed. -
I went SS with my dark tanker for rage. Not the damage buff but for the tohit.
CoF OG DS and DR all have to hit to have an effect and rage provides and if I when with pool taunt+panic they both also require a tohit check.
It is also fairly Endr friendly so with 12 toggles (4 sheilds,3 auras, 1 mez pro,1 cloak and any leaderships Im running) endr light is needed. -
/Nin is about having tricks
DB/ is about getting your tricks off.
It is a very nice combo and dual builds is great with Dual Blades. I have one build AoE with the Sweep/Weakness. and the other is Single target, with Attack Vitals (self chainable)and more PvP orintated (yes I can get off the combo in pvp...) (both get Empowerment by default). This releaves some of the tightness of the build.
End game have fun running the Cim Wall or herding in the Fab. -
Surpised no one has said Stone Armor. THe brutes build could be just melee attacks/Granite. With a kin the Speed/recharge debuffs are rendered.

Never read the whole 16 pages so ...meh if this has been brought up.
I was thinking about this post while I was doing the dishes. I have two Idea to fix placate that may work.
1) the crazy one: add to placate a 5 sec, mez 5 protection and a feature that surpresses all debuffs. Basical Placate tells the foe "I was never here" instead of "forget about me". It would act as normal (critical) but would free up the debuffs/mez so you cant be targeted. (additional idea would be to have it work on allies, just something that is enough to break a mez so they can do an action)
2) The over powered ?: Change placate into a form of confusion, but not confusion so that it can be BFed off (it is still placate, just a different effect) . The idea and result would be that the foe would think the stalker as an ally, would be able to target but no offensive actions. Kinda of a "<eye poke>...ah i cant see".
Being confused this may end the perception arms race. If the scrapper is running tactics to see the stalker and gets placated/confused, his buffs are now affecting the stalker as he winds up an AS. Turn of tactics, debuff the stalker. -
Great guide.. I always loved the drain concept of control and a Blaptroller sounds Awesome to build.
But I am wondering.. is your SG still running and taking invites? When I made my sapper (kin/elec) a while back I was having a problem with total drainage, I know what the problem is now, Critcal mass. A ST of drains sounds perfect. -

If you may I would like to point out two things.
1) Ebon Eye has two thing to it that make it better that attack than noted. Better range and 1.1 inherent acc. At lvl 1-6 this is golden. lock down foe with Grav snare and rock them.

Agreed. It is weak and in late game may loss its usefulness. BUT. it is the only attack that does smash damage as well as negative. Against neg res baddys this is pricless.
Now I maybe on glue here but this is what Ive seen and read. These are the tactics I use and like you said there is no right/wrong to make a Khen. just My 2 inf.

Liked the guild..and it will help me on my way of beening a tanking god...(newbi to tanking so Im still full of vingar=))
One thing I would like to add from my 12+6+10 lvl of expreicane (tank/tank/brute) is that herding in a group may be dead (or at least put to pasture) but Im finding that herding is great in solo work. That being said there has been time when the only way to save the teeam was to herd the mob away from them (I died but the teams 2 defenders lived on). Im finding that a tanker is the flip side of a controller. Both must have control of the battle field, both need wide views bother are really busy in combat.

Has any one noticed the little note, i think it is in the help or combat tab, which says (something like) " Jet jets now make you harder to hit."
If this what i think it is..an HUGE AOE -acc debuff?
<<<<<EDIT: played this last night can kept an eye on this feathure...it looks like it is the same buff as hover -knockback protection. You do notice the differance when it come to getting hit and not getting hit.30 sec protection and still grounded (ice/ice tanker) is always good. >>>>>>
As for TPes...ive PVP a flying villian. Just kept out of my range and dropped death. I think with JJ i could have at least got a little highth on him and kept him in range in of my attacks.
<<<Another EDIT: as stated I played lastnight in the hollow. Lvl 9 tanker. The Jump pack did help a lot with getting around and for escapes form the "pit" and purple mods...It also aided in travel speed to.Mainly by jumping obsticals.So yes my vote is that it is an ok newbie power, but the benifits do come with other travel powers...I just wish they would make it slot able. -
TP IS my primay trael power. Ive out run lvl 30 (while im at 23) with a couple of SO for distance and End. Great power and here is a few things that I have learned.
1) for getting glowy. nothing beats it.
2)if your allie has TP allie have him/her warn you before they TP you. MAY a time i have found my self in two places at once(they TP me after I have started my next TP in a chain. I end up at them and half a sec later at my target for tp. reallpain)
3)in combat it IS the quick escape.. but shots that are field at you follow. A troll can throw a rock over 120ft!!
4) if your immobilized TP.get you out of fire but you still can't move unless you tp again.
5)for some reason after i tp and them hit an attack (bow attacks to be exact) the toon goes in to a 2 sec CONTROLABLE flight (not hover). Looks cool going in on the attack and has saved me from a fall once. (caught a building)
6)Speaking of Hover, TP and Hover is and end killer but you will never fall. If your low on end just stop TPiing, chat a bit, and cont once your end recharges.
