The 20:26 Cap Au Diable Strike Force Run

I'm working on uploading the video of myself and a few others running the Cap Au Diable Strike Force. We really wanted to break 20 minutes THEN post the video. However, I think you will see lots of places where we made mistakes (Mission 6) and one place where we had bad luck (Mission 5 scientist on top floor). Had we done a clean run with good luck, we might have approached 19 minutes flat. Here is some random information:

We used 6 real players and two fillers, thus 8-man spawns.
Superspeed is REALLY important. If you don't have it, you can't keep up.
Cheating is key: We used 1 filler to play with the contact
Cheating is key: We used veteran Recall team twice
Mission one is all about luck and getting the small sized map.
Ghosts are really really annoying.
Know where all the missions are.
Know where all the objectives are.
JoJo is indestructible... please stop telling me I need a thermal or I need Aid Self.
Eating Inspirations is good times.
After you rescue the scientist, walk straight to the computer. Ignore the turdbow.
On mission 6, use the buddy system **/em glares at Captain Hubris**. The buddy system means two people go together, one person distracts the mob, one pushes the alter.
Usually I pull Batzul into Infernal, then kill Batzul, then Infernal. When we have a stacked team like this, we should just push all the alters, plow Infernal, then jump in the fire and plow Bat'zul. Cause really, he's going down before we are.
Disruption Field & JoJo = Insanely Good.
Demonic Aura = Insanely Good.
Making mistakes is ok... look how ugly and uncoordinated we were at times!

As fast as that run was, after watching the video, I see lots of room for improvement. I think we'll break 20 minutes soon.

Certainly we can improve... look at all the mistakes we made! Look at how sloppy we were.

I didn't get a chance to watch the video... and certainly wasn't trying to make any comments on the quality of YOUR runs... was presenting a light hearted challenge to myself...

You are more than welcome to come next time we try and break the 20 minute marker :-)

don't put me in that place.

me and clutch were in that stacked team and i'm staying in it next time we try to break the record.
(i can further min/max my elm/ea and definitely will for when we try it again).

[my elm/ea was pl'd for two levels, 28 to 30, and then i realized i didn't really wanna pl him, it's a toon i really really know how to play... i'm pretty sure i was running with a whole array of toons that had barely seen the tv farm which makes their players a bit more familiar with their usage. call me a cynic tribal, but i dont think you can find the people to break that record. even with a full frad team.]

Heck, I think 6 Frads and 2 JoJos would be close to ideal. You bring the Frads, I'll bring the JoJos and the know how.

Though, if you want... I'll just wait here and keep posting betterer times with my group of runners :-)

i dont know jojo... that plant dom helped a lot and so did the sonic.

And I said I was sowwee.

I can click all the stones in the last mission solo. So that saves time porting people to clear mobs around the stones to click them. But I'm an expert stealther though :-)

The best time I've done this was like 35 min. But we were not going for a record though. Also we never tried to soft-load the missions either (now immpossible to do unless people quit the SF).

Can you teach me how to single-man stealth 8-player-spawn alters? I can do it if the Teeth are in the right placement and I can hide behind them or the one arm where there is a cliff behind the alter that you can fly behind. But those are luck-based single ones only.

Barrier... considering that two of the people I would have picked are already there.... AND you brought with them an idea that "we" (Jenna discovered it) told YOU about... I'd say you're "challenge" comes in a little underhanded manner.

"Clutch and I are going to do it with these guys... and use some ideas we heard about from you... now go find other people to do it with and try to beat us."

I'm certainly don't REALLY care... and I'm posting in a "light hearted manner"... I just thought your response was funny.

The implication that the people I'd run it with (now that you and clutch are on the other team) wouldn't know how to play their (mine?) toons....... was in true barrier fashion and I certainly wouldn't expect any more from you...
