Group: The Fist of Justice
After the Great Hamster Fracus II, most of the survivors from the Shield of Valor banded together with me, Celtic (The_Scotsman, aka Manticore's Cabin Boy), Kong, and Krole to form the Fist of Justice.
This group also doubles as the sister group villains of Shadows of Victory.
This is a fairly casual but active group. As a point of policy, we try to recruit mainly from the forums, through members are always encouraged to bring in good people that they know/come across. As such, we have a fairly high level of competency in the group, with many of Victory Forum's people having their mains/highly played alts in the group. Forum posting isn't required, but reading the forums and being knowledgable about the game is highly encouraged.
Mainly a pve group, through light pvp'ing is done. Good network of coalitions setup. All members hang out in the global channel Victory Forum.
While we're not the sort to go zone to zone spamming for members, having a full active group is nice, both in terms of team ups and building up on a base.
Superbases, sadly, need a good membership base. Combined with everyone playing CoV, that makes it even harder to get a lot of prestige for a base in CoH.
Currently, there's only so much you can do with a base. PvE wise, we're well past where we need to be. When Instant Base Raids work, I'd like to be doing that more often. Items of Power raiding is also of interest, but as that's currently a major screw job if you get raided, it's of a side concern.
SG Rules:

I responded to this post back in August, checked out their website and applied for membership. It was the BEST thing I ever did for playing CoH. Since then I've been able to play with a mature, friendly bunch of people who are happy to help you out if it is at all possible. Most days there is some form of event, be it a TF, trial, PvP or simply a badge farming event. We also organise occasional special events such as Legion Claus, costume contests, base raid practicies and anything our insane members can think of!
Members around the globe - I'm in the UK and there is seldom a time when I log on at any time of the day when there isn't others in the SG. Everyone has alts who we are happy to jump onto at times to level with or SK.
Teamspeak is also available.
Our sister VG is Fallen Legion.

Correct. Sadly, Cosmic Titan has become Leader Emeritus. He's still around, just doesn't have time for the day to day administration any more. He is being succeeded by Last Gunslinger, a long time member and officer. Still the same great friendly and active bunch it was before though, operating on the system we have been, so we anticipate no changes there. The Legion's traditions won't die with CTs retirement, rest assured!

SG Description: The Astraios Foundation is a role-playing super group. We have been together since 2004 and look forward to growing in the future. Recruiting Officers: Not Putzing, One Hit
Preferred Method of contact: Send an in game tell to a current member. In general the Vanguards do not recruit, however when we team with someone of unusual ability, talent or humor, well start the process by asking you if youre interested. Recruitment into the Vanguard League usually requires running several missions with current members and can take anywhere from a day to a few weeks depending on your schedule.
Non-recruitment contact, joint SG events, coalitions, or complaints about a member should be directed to one of the leader names above.
SG Description: We bill ourselves as Victorys Best Mom and Pop SG. Although we are currently the 4th ranked SG on Victory (2nd for hero groups), we are actually a fairly small number of players who meet regularly and have a great time. We have the advantages of some of the big SGs, e.g. a base with all the trimmings, folks on almost all of the time, events, base raids etc., the small roster means its pretty easy to get to know everyone fairly quickly.
Generally the membership of the Vanguard League floats around 30 people +/- 5, however we are far from a monolithic team in terms of play style. We have very active members in both PvE and PvP, strong coalitions with other active SGs, and put together server-level events on a fairly regular basis. About one-third of our current roster is PvP focused and our coalition with the Nightmare Titans has produced a joint venture, the Near Death Experience on the test server. See NDX for details. Usually there are at least a few Vanguards online at any given time although we tend to cluster in the evenings on weekdays and afternoons on weekends. While we are an open, friendly and very diverse group culturally we are also picky about our membership and restrict it to 18+.
The Vanguard League does not currently have a villain counterpart, however we have a strong coalition with the Chaotic Conflagration and most of us have our villains there. Chaotic Conflagration
Membership in VL does not require you put your villains there, but hey, the Conflagers are pretty cool.
Rules:
1. Members are limited to a maximum of 3 (three) alts in the Vanguard League at any one time. Additional toons may be played (or even stored) in one of the Vanguard affiliates, Vanguard Force, Vanguard Emeriti or the Eradicators (special build requirements apply to the Eradicators. A frontal lobotomy, while helpful, is not actually required anymore).
2. Any toon not played for 15 days is subject to removal from the active roster, although you will be immediately added to Vanguard Force as soon as you log the toon in and you let a member know. You can be readmitted to the League as well. Toons in Vanguard Force have full base access and all the normal privileges due a toon active in the League. Active toons can stay in the League as long as they like, we have folks who have been in and active for 2+ years.
3. Admission to the Vanguard League generally requires the approval of 1 (one) admin, but this is a soft rule.
4. Members are subject to dismissal at any time for bad behavior in game, in the CoH Forums or at any public event.
5. Promotions and level awards (getting one of Blus 1,000,000 prestige Hami-Os, Obelisks in the Hall of 50s etc.) are all pre-set and detailed on the website.

SUPERGROUP : MINION OF THE UNDERWORLD - CoH SUPERGROUP LEADER : Darken Death
Our supergroup was created about 2 years ago when City of Heroes was the only game to create Heroes and Quesi - Villains. We went with the theme of a more darker supergroup based on revenge against all evil. The idea was to be different from being the pretty superhero and found alot of people into that. 
All members are allowed to invite anyone they like to play with that helped alot in recruiting people into our supergroup. Our membership is very helpful as far as helping with leveling, getting a cape or aura for someone and to help complete mission when people are in trouble. We have achieved in making the Top 100 on the Victory server and it shows by the Base our members helped to create. SG Description: Initally created as a Soloer SG for those who prefer to solo and could have the oppurtunity to have a base and all that goes along with it. Since its inception 2 years ago we have grown into a fully blown, team oriented SG with a roster of up to 10+/- active players with numerous toons and alts. We are a small group who have known each other for years and work VERY well together in any situation. The base has all the trimmings: IO tables, vaults, storage, TPers, etc. We currently do not partake in base raids. We have a few players (myself included) who PVP on a regular basis and are well versed in the art of the PVP. We are genrally active at nites during the week and off and on all day and nite on the weekends. There is no age limit for recruitment as we already have a few players of younger ages. But most of us are adults (sort of), so it is considered an adult enviroment.

Promotions are based on trust and ones ability to show they are atleast going to try to contribute to the group prestige wise.

I'm sure most of you that browse this board have seen this same post before however I'd like to add my own personal comments on it. I left CoH/V for probably 6 months and recently returned. I never feared that Legion of Valor would be here waiting for me when I returned. If you decide to join a supergroup I hope you have that same level of confidence. If for even for a moment you don't have that feeling as someone who is not a member of a supergroup I urge you to give the Legion a try... if... you are a member of a supergroup currently and you are looking for a higher degree of activity or you just aren't sure it's going to be around next month, again I urge you to look into the Legion of Valor.
If you can't consider your Supergroup your second home when you are ingame, come see...

We're a RP-Only SG here on Vic--still quite young, few members, but working on our base. We accept ONLY mature adults who are interested in quality roleplay--and in avoiding OOG/OOC BS drama. There is something of a theme to our merry band; our motto is "We may not have begun as Heroes, but we have become them." Each and every one of us began life as something else--and not necessarily on the side of the angels. Something happened, though...whether it was mutant abilities emerging, suffering Council experimentation--one of us even had to die. It was coming through that life-shattering experience that changed us, turned our lives around...and gave us our "second chance".
