If i ever get around to it heres what i was going for on my Cold/Psi
Destiny - Not sure about this one either clarion for the mez protection or rebirth for the self heal.
Interface - I was going for the one with travel debuff but seeing how much reactive dot stack up i would go for that.
Lore - The seers have no aoes but i found them far easier to micromanage of the stuff i have tried.
Judgment - Cryonic for the beefy travel debuff. And while the cone is far more narrow than i would like in pve it looks cool.
Alpha - Spiritual Radial T4. Basically part of a project i ahvent reall started that could potentially slow down people in pvp. The recharge helps since my pve build is really cheap. -
Serious business in progress. i'll get my briefcase
-
Its actually pretty good now. my /fire brutes made a huge improvement in performance with the changes.
-
But how will i earn good rewards during trials with a bunch of pets and pseudopets?
-
Try a Fire/Dark corruptor. It's fairly simple. You drop debuffs on them then throw fire at them until they stop moving. It has a strong enemy targeted self heal that helps with survivability.
The difficulty would be having no inherent mez protection and playing a AT that has low base HP. -
Dont' worry about seekers. They are just for the power activation and as a set mule

/fire is great for doms. The rest of the secondaries dont really compare though.
-
Its still hilarious considering how much energy melee has been discussed.
On another note are clockwork bosses supposed to have an aoe that does no damage? Or did they forgot to add the text? -
To be fair crabs do get alot of dps against single targets without cheatworks.
-
Someone asked on a tf. forgot the name but here it is.
I run t4 cardiac(got it because i could, t3 works) t4 reactive (25 -res 75 dot) t4 rebirth(+hp helps me more than regen) t4 seers( feels easier to micromanage)
Leadership is there to help with pets(confuse protection) on the escapee phase.
Built for an adequate amount of range def before mind link because it fits my playstyle.
The blood widow is not as good as i thought. It has many attacks to cycle but it still freezes and sometimes does the impossible feat of chaining eviscerate.
My build is silly expensive and forts are playable for far less inf investment.

Quote:Souns like a melee fort chain since one of the higher dpa attacks(slash) is excluded.http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=125256
TopDoc's build is what I used to construct my Night Widow. I don't really calculate attack chains per se, but I know that this build is supposed to be capable of soloing AVs and pylons and I know that I can do tons of damage with my own Night Widow. I've had people ask, "Why didn't you take XXXX power" (think the actual question was regarding eviscerate) or "why no actual Night Widow attacks?" I didn't give them good answers because I didn't make those calculations and decisions -- TopDoc did. But I know TopDoc (sort of -- I've played in the Iron Eagles hardcore group on Justice that he's in, that he took a character to level 50 in w/o dying) so I know that he didn't take XXXX power for a good reason. If I can solo AVs, then what does XXXX power give me that I don't already have?
Anyway... I think his advice in this thread is what you're looking for. Specifically:
All I know is I do massive damage. ^_^ And I play a lot of 50 scrappers, and my Night Widow is one of the most dangerous toons I have.
Anyway thanks for the suggestions everyone. -
I think its funny that the idf pets get access to a better whirling hands than players(higher targetcap, higher damage).
-
I would rather build around performing the chain whichever it is.
-
What is the best available chain for nightwidows? Tried asking in the SoA forum but not getting any luck and i want to respec soon.
-
Quote:If i can solo states on a fort(pure range) with seers and reactive im p sure you can solo av's.Ooooh my mistake. What 'tier' is that ACU?
Maybe some day i will defeat a AV all by myself.. i gues around 2062
I tried GM's but found them to be running around too much. Took Paladin down to half health before my seers went poof. -
Im pretty sure you can get higher by placating before midnight grasp.
Also why no fireball? that ish auto crits from hidden status. -
Getting tired of my fort was wondering what is the best attack chain for nw's for single targets?
I keep finding these long attack strings that doesnt help when trying to plan a build.
Asking the same for a bane. Is it bash, pul, shatter and shatter armor when its up?
