Fiery Embrace?
fiery embrace was changed to add a 100% chance of fire dmg proc on all your attack powers, so it wont show a dmg bonus anymore, but it will also allow you to surpass the dmg cap
So, not only does the info on the power not tell you the buff that it gives, but if you go into your Combat Attributes your damage bonus doesn't even budge (although buildup certainly does.)
Power fail or description fail? |
FE itself just activates "Fiery Embrace mode" for 20 seconds.
So it's a description fail really.
Ok wait, how do you figure out how much the damage proc does?

It varies. It's a percentage -- most people say around 40% -- of the damage the attack did.

That's unfortunate vs what it used to do.

Nah its better now because it places the proc on all attacks. Before it only boosted fire dmg unless I'm remembering incorrectly.
Its actually pretty good now. my /fire brutes made a huge improvement in performance with the changes.
Well, I am a fire/fire scrapper, so it should have technically decreased my damage output quite a bit, since it was another build up that gave extra damage to all my attacks on top of it since I am all fire.

Just a note: Fire Melee isn't all fire dmg. Many of the attacks are split.
Fire Melee is the least to benefit from the change, but at the high end of dmg boosts the new FE far outperforms the old version.

Right, it breaks the rules and lets you do more damage than any other primary if you are using big buffs like a lot of inspirations or Fulcrum Shift.
