Heres one i used to use until i stripped my SS/WP. Soft capped to s/l with maneuvers on and 43.8% +rech before hasten. I know it doesnt use mu but on some of the tougher content that -KB it has can really hurt. Anyway, hope its not too expensive.

Quote:I think thats the single most important tip there is. I have done quite a few Apex's and only once did we fail and that was because we gave up. I knew we could beat BM but we had a total *** on the team who kept ******** about how unfair the patches are and how BM had crazy regen or some such bull **** >.<Another important thing to keep in mind; DON'T GIVE UP! Did Battle Maiden regen back to 100% during phase 3? So what?! I've had teams defeat her anyways, it may be demoralizing but it's not a sign that you won't beat her. You have to give people time to get used to the mechanics (and they have to give themselves time too!). Are you down one man? It's STILL doable! Both of those occasions have occurred to me but I didn't let it stop me or my team, we kept going and still got her.
Either way good luck on your Apex.
I know 1st one I ran (no one on the team had done it) the moment we got BM down to 50% and some 6 patches came crashing down on us and the ensuing battle was the single most exciting thing i have EVER done in this game, even better than the moment i got my 1st 50. -
Wow, i just have horrible search-fu >.<
But thank you very much. -
DDR does not pass 100%, its capped at 95% (mids is lieing to you AHHHHHHH!) at which points you should be getting 5% of the strength of a def debuffs.
So i think something like this should work: debuff*1-DDR%
...At least i think. -
(I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so I apologize if it isn’t)
Now, we all know (hopefully) that the dmg you deal to a critter (as well as your base tohit and a bunch of other stuff) gets lower the higher its relative level. However, I've only been able to find exact numbers on the base tohit change due to relative level. (from this) So i was wondering if there are any other charts for the exact ratio that dmg or the ratio of strength of debuffs changes due to a critter's relative level.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows any. -
Quote:Ive dont that many times before myself >.<Yeah i know what the law of 5 is i dont know what i was thinking when i put all those purps in there. In my defense i did this after pulling a all nighter at work and doing this on no sleep. Ill make sure i pay attention next time i decide to post something like this.
-
I say yes but its really up to you. +rech (being one of the only ways you really increase dmg on a brute from sets) has some diminishing returns that get pretty noticeable once you get past 50% +rech from sets anyway.
-
I think when you first summon the power you would have a chance to get the +tohit and then everytime acid mortar attacks it would have a chance to get the +tohit but not you. But im not 100% sure
-
-
Hmm, now that i think of it. As long as you have run time in between mobs and consume hits enough targets to max your end out, you might just be ok. And if your ok with not being soft capped the only change i would make to your build is i would swap your aura slotting and slotting in FSC because those two procs will be more much affecting there, in a toggle power procs only have a chance to go off ever 10 seconds. But then oblits really kind of suck in Blazing aura.
-
Spirit radial, of course.
My personal recommendation would be a Brute also... but im biased. :P
But as far as i know if you want to be a little bit tougher go with tank. If you want to do more dmg go with brute, not 100% sure if that would be A LOT more dmg or just a little bit.
Edit: Just went over your build there are a few things.
1. your end would have been horrible.
2. Dont put your PBAoE purple set in Blazing aura.
3. Horrible end
So here

Data links wont seem to open, could you plz provide data chunks.
But one really quick tip is that you WANT FE and you want it with at least two slots for rech in it, imo its now the best power in FA. -
-
On my brutes i generally have no more than 1 slot for dmg with SOs, rech and end redux are more useful and rech will actually yield a higher DPS for most attacks. So I would replace those dmg SOs with 2 rech and 1 end redux. (For SL i would add another slot and put either dmg or healing in that)
I don’t find having a click status protection to be too big a problem. In fact on SD its better this way because AD offers DDR, and now you can get twice as much DDR from that. But keep AD on auto then just keep an eye on hasten; or just don’t get it its up to you.
Edit: Yes, Midnight's Grasp is sweet -
I have run into this problem a lot, generally there are two things that happen.
1. A make a new toon then get uber addicted to teh game until its level 50.
2. I just take a "break" i simply dont play for a few days or a play a lot less.
There is also the 3rd option: cancel account. I did this once for what i thought would be forever, that only lasted a few months then once i came back this game was awesome again. -
Quote:Delusional.
You can't kill faster than a blaster on a tank. You can kill SAFER.
I see the old standby - LRN2PLY - card pulled again. I wrote one of the first Fire/Ice Tanker guides over 6 years ago. I know all the tricks to tweak the most out of one and yet.......they are squishy compared even to my Broadsword/Willpower scrapper.
A straight Fire/Fire has no mitigation of knockback/down or other debuffs. It is a straight in your face fight. Everything hits you without buffs and if you are slowed in recharge you are dead.
You can deny that Council, Rikti, Lost, Carnies, Outcast Ice guys and any number of minions, Lts and Bosses now have -recharge?
They will slow you and without Healing Flames you will die. It is helpful to take Aid Self as well on a Fire tank for exactly these occasions. Even then it is acknowledged by the Devs it will happen when they give you a Tier 9 as a self rez. Look don't blow smoke up people's nether regions.
It is a serviceable set given experience and plenty of Influence for the IO sets to plug the gaping holes in Fire armor:
Knockback
Zero defense
Slows stopping healing
Immobilize
Massive end usage as you power toggles:
Fire Shield
Plasma Shield
Tough
Weave
Combat Jump
Blazing Aura (optional but important part of your damage)
Can a Fire armor character be fun? Obviously but don't oversell the product.
Ok, first off /Fire (secondary) is someting brutes and scrappers can get, tanks get Fire/ (primary). So im talking about brutes and scrappers here.
And on an FA brute or scrapper, depending on the primary, it is very likely you can kill just as fast if not faster than SOME blasters. No way your gonna be clearing mobs faster than a good Fire/fire blaster but a Sonic/Dev or some of the other low AoE blasters, yes i could see them killing that fast if not faster
But yes, before you get some IOs for def -rech can be a ***** and you do have a varity of just simply stupid holes, however burn does gives immobilize protection, but they can easily be filled without even useing IOs. But aid self on a fire? WTF
Never found end useage to be that big a deal though because of consume, its not great but is still very helpful ine bigger mobs. I wouldnt say FA is an end god or anything but its no worse of than some other armor sets.
So maybe i am "overselling the product."
Oh yeah, you get FE :P -
I always laugh when people say FA is terrible because they are simply doing something wrong. Even with just one KB prot IO most things should be dead before they kill you. (maybe not romans those ******* hurt) With IOs, not only can you easily act as a tank as well as most other armor sets but you also kill things as fast if not faster than some blasters, and a hell of a lot faster than any armor set other than MAYBE shield can even dream of.

I marketeer with 2 toons, inactive 50s, but make most of my money from selling ticket rolls on my farmer, about 1bill every 2 days ony *cries*, which i dont think is actually marketeering. (or is it?)

Can you please supply a data chunk?
Edit: Nvm, got it working.
1. If you are doing fire farms dont grab fighting. Grab some LotG mules
2. Dont need Kb prot
3. Mu ftw
However, that would mean you would need to have an alt build to leave AE and not suck. I was ok with that but it depends on the person. -
Sounds like both builds have rather lackluster numbers, i always try to shoot for 60% rech (pre hasten) and soft cap s/l on /fire. Dont worry about melee def at all because like 99% of melee attacks have s/l and most of what doesnt is fire in my experience.... But if you wanna farm you are gonna want Fireball for sure, i say Mu is better but if your blue side you can't get that i guess.
A little later today i can prolly post a build. -
Think what Arcana meant by that was that a shard is 8 times more likely to drop on a team. Whereas most stuff, i think, works by team defeats but is actually has a chance to drop split between everyone on the team, i think (really not 100% sure though). It's also likely ive misunderstood Arcanaville. (which happens alot because his[her?] numbers are way to much for meh tiny little brain)
