Quote:Somehow a positive thread about a change that is 100% a good thing ends up with negative responses. I don't get it.Good news everyone, we've finally proven that someone will complain about literally anything.
It's not like this was an issue release and the only change was a QoL. -
I have a feeling you'll be asking for a long, long time.
-
I was going to make a thread like this but after a bit of searching here I am! I woulds like to get the word out about popular channels that I enjoy on Virtue. As I am a serious roleplayer these are the channels that greatly improve my City of Heroes experience:
RP Virtue
Roleplayers LFT
Roleplayers
Virtue RP Revival (not at my computer at the moment but I believe this is the correct name)
I hope this helps other roleplayers start getting connected! I advertise for roleplaying events often on these. -
Yes, your Arachnos soldier is free to go Hero, Villain, Vigilante or Rogue. If you buy the system you have it whether you're premium or VIP but if you go VIP it is included in your subscription.
-
Samuel_Tow, I now take back what I said. This would be all around incredible. You should make a thread outlining these ideas as a legitimate suggestion.
-
Actually, you can have more than one master account that uses the same card.
Right around Christmas I managed to get my eight year old brother into the game and I created a master account for him connected to my card.
Hope this helps! -
Quote:This would be AWESOME. Like the Shadows from Positron's TF.On a srs note, I was actually expecting this to be the Dark Control tier 9. A shadow version of yourself with dark powers rivaling your own.
More on topic, I'd definitely jump on board for clones as Lore Pets, though I'd prefer that they just let us make our Phantoms look that way in Illusion Control. -
Granted, I can't speak for all servers but I can usually get full teams in Praetorian. Have you tried joining several different channels and asking around on them?
-
In my opinion, the market is working perfectly. I buy probably about half of the featured items, though I see others running around with whatever is new that week all over the place.
Although there are plenty of vocal players who want to know in advance what and when new items are coming out, personally, I like to be surprised on Tuesdays the first time I log into my account. -
I doubt this will ever happen. It would result in Fly becoming obsolete.
-
You're preaching to the choir. I would -kill- for another upgrade to the number of character slots we could purchase per server. 60, 72, 84... like I said in another thread Paragon would own my soul.
-
This is absolutely true. Praetoria is my favorite place to start hands-down. The story there is absolutely incredible.
-
Redside is alive and well as far as I can see. I run exclusively roleplaying teams and still fill them to eight players relatively easily.
Granted, the "Redside is Dead!" that some players feel compelled to scream at the top of their lungs has caused the active population to be significantly lower than blueside. -
Didn't you get the memo? We complain about Psychic Melee's release now.

Waiting another week for Staff Fighting won't kill us.
On the other hand, I would have loved additional character slots added to the servers so that I could take full advantage of the sale! I already have 48 characters on my server of choice and I'm debating whether or not to buy them for when (if) the boost the number that are available to be unlocked again. -
Quote:That last paragraph sounds awesome if it were able to somehow satisfy all concepts. In a game like this, though, it seems like it would be great for some characters but still lacking for others. There are just too many concepts out there."I have a mental time bomb!!!" is all I feel needs to be said as a counterpoint. Much of the newer story arcs that feature dialogue choices are much, MUCH more specific even when they give options. To my eyes, the best way for dialogue to be generic is for it to describe the decision you made, but leave out the words with which you said it. For instance, you could have an Agree/Refuse/Agree but insult choice and then you could fill in your own words that would fit for your character. Or not, as was the case for my Stardiver who can't speak.
I have no problem with personalities at character creation, but the game has no real system to account for personality. Dialogues aren't "special," they're just custom content a writer stuffed in. Besides, I feel that making dialogues more generic is a superior idea nevertheless.
Still, though, I'd love to define my characters' personalities even if it's just cosmetic. I'd love to see something of a form to fill in, which included categories like Sadism <-> Compassion or ADD <-> Infinite Patience or Personal Gain <-> Altruism where we could rate various personality attributes. -
I can't wait to stroke my staff. Every Tuesday I hope, even though I doubt it will be on the market this week or even next week. Woe is me.

Quote:Well said. I have an Assault Rifle / Devices that I absolutely LOVE to play. I feel like a one man army with all the tools at my disposal. He can do things that other Blasters only dream of solo.Yes.
It is intentional. Devices plays like no other blaster secondary. It is a strategic set, and can achieve greater solo survivability than just about anything else.
That is a good thing. The last thing I want is for all blasters to play identically with different animations for their powers.
And yes, I have a /Devices. Sonic/Devices to be precise, and I've had it since early 2006. That solo survivability I mentioned? I've gone entire missions without even being targeted by anything, let alone defeated. And it didn't go all that slowly either. -
I would hope that whenever Devices gets looked at they don't do anything other than buff numbers for the powers. They all work well as is - Devices is a set that lets you turn the battlefield into your own playground.
Other than Time Bomb (eff that power!) and Gun Drone (mediocre at best). I would support having them completely replaced. Trip Mine works perfectly, in my opinion, though. -
I hope you're going to post the winners for us!

The devs are producing unique content that I enjoy consistently. They seem to have struck a balance between introducing new characters and having familiar faces show up.
That being said, one TF/SF where you battle against a small team of supers unrelated to the rest of the content could very well be entertaining. -
I would think that would just be a bug. That fight is one of my favorite fights in all of CoH.
By the way, is Positron still going to be running these task forces or will someone else replace him? -
I really hope they just haven't released what's coming out today to the market yet. Otherwise, I'll admit that I'm disappointed this week...

Anyway, Lord Recluse is my favorite NPC in the game. I hope that he's alive and well until the day the servers shut down!
