thanks for your comments now all i need is some bind goodness

Bind Goodness you say?
Found these ages ago on the US boards. I use them on my MM and find them very useful
Edit: Opps, wrong page. i'll find the right one
Edit Number 2: thats the one... much better -
One of your toons is in the same SG as me Sin. I should be able to spot you a couple of hundred K of Infamy from my MM to see you through if you like (wont be enough to get you fully SOd as he only has 250k to his name, but you are more than welcome to it) as i wont be playing him till after I get my Stalker to lvl 50.
Also have a couple of lowbie Alts if you do decide to go down the route of Exemping.
Gimme a shout in game. -
Yes, Gloating isnt cricket, as you put it, and no i dont think that anyone is going to disagree with me with regards to the swearing issue. I was mearly giving an example of my experience in the PvP zones and the conduct of other players, which at times is totally unacceptable.
And are you going to want to spend the day teaming with someone who doesnt have even a slight bit of respect of other players? People dont seem to relise, and maybe its just me, that the way you act in the PvP zones may have a direct impact on the way people view you in a PvE enviorment.
Maybe i didnt do the best job in my first post (or maybe even this one to), but hey, i've been at work since 9am (apart from one hour off) and I only got home 45mins ago -
Smyte's Load Screen: SIREN'S CALL
PvP on in 30 Seconds....
[Broadcast] Player A: ZOMG!111!! you are such a n00b cant belive you [Sweary word] did that!
[Broadcast] Player B: Why dont you just [Sweary Word] off?!?
Smyte's Load Screen: SHARKHEAD ISLAND
Thats what i got as soon as I entered Siren's in the middle of the afternoon last week.
Surely the same manners that most players bring to the table in PvE shouldnt just get launched out the window in PvP?
And why shouldnt you at least be polite to each other? Yes a bit of banter is more than acceptable, but not everyone finds certain comments funny and indeed there might be people that take offence to any comment.Personally i dont see the need to Gloat over a kill or dance over someones corpse (except yours Kensa)
You may well find yourself in a PvE team with someone you noticed acting like an idiot in PvP. So surely it is wise, in the long run, to at least try and not Gloat/Swear/Offend people? -
Once again, everyone overlooks us poor old Grav Trollers
-
As far as the lack of zones in CoV goes, they will come. You have to remember that by comparision CoV is just a baby compared to CoH. As time goes by there will be more zones introduced in to the game.
The LFT times can be a bit annoying when no-one on your Global list is on-line, but this may be partly to do with the dreaded lottery that is the PuG... Some good ones, some bad ones.
For the Masterminds, personally I think if you slot them well you are going to have a toon that is cracking to play in PvE (still havent found my niche in PvP with mine) but I dont feel that they are overpowered, just tough as nails.
With my MM i have the whole numb pad set up with binds so i can move my Crew away from doorways and let the rest of the team in to get in on the action (well, i try) and to issue diffrent instuctions to diffrent minions.
I also play a Stalker and I can certainly see where you are coming from.
And, as has been said already, the maps are getting looked at. -
i'm usually one most nights with my Stalker looking for something to do, gimme a shout if you fancy teaming up. My Stalker is called Smyte.
Oh and if you need to grind newspaper missions i find the Council "Defeat Archon X and Guards" are the ones that tend to go in quickly. Avoid CoT ones mind *shudder* -
Personally i like the SR pool as a secondary. my Stalker is slotted up as far as he can go on the defensive side of things and he's one tough cookie in PvE. only 2 down sides to SR (as far as i can see) is that when you get hit you take the full force of the attack and there is no-self heal in it, carry Greens and you should be ok though.
I have Claws as a primary which is also a cracking pool dispite Leathal damage being widely resisted, esspecially at higher levels. Claws has a fast recharge of the powers plus 'Quickness' (+recharge, +spd, resist Slow) from the SR pool really helps matters.
I feel these two power pools compliment eachother nicely -

Apologies for not making the SG thursday, something rather urgent came up in RL, but i HEAR it went well, so kudos to you all!
Except you DS, never you

Ironic isnt it? That I, of all people, should correct your spelling mistakes.

Edit: just in case you don't know, passives like Stamina only work in human form.
[/ QUOTE ]
Doh! knew i forgot to mention something -
One that works against a few types of Brute builds in PvP, although timing is the key. Go toe to toe with them in Dwarf form, bash pointlessly away until they use thier self heal, TP up high above them, switch to Nova, fire off a few blasts and then Human Form to finish them off.
Its worth it to see the 'Ha Chicken' type text on Broadcast when you TP up above them as they think you are running from them... few seconds later you force them to eat a big bowl of pavement.
Worked a few times for me, not a 100% chance of victory right enough -
I wouldnt say you 'need' it. i missed out stamina on my PB and the end drain was massive. i tried slotting Nova and Dwarf with End Reductions but that really is a waste of very valuable slots to a PB/WS (soooo many powers). i added Stamina in and found him far easier to play.
I'd suggest a yes to taking Stamina on your PB.
Just my opinion -
Havent been on much recently due to a couple of RL issues (i'm sure you have all been enjoying the peace and quiet)
St Martial SF.... How does Thursday Night at around 8:30pm sound? -
St Martial SF sounds like a plan, we can sort out dates/times soon.
and indeed, best of luck to Ainur. hope you guys get most, if not all, of your members back. -
what power pools you got on your controller? your secondary can (unfortuantly) really sell you to a team. Empath to help a healer thats bogged down, Kinetics for those tasty buffs, Rad for debuffs flying left right and centre etc...
i say unfortuatly because there are some cases that people will expect you to do nothing but use your secondary, in which case you end up playing defender wannabe, which has really gets me annoyed sometimes... but that is a totally diffrent issue.
other than that try and make people see that you are good at what you do and no doubt you will recieve a team invite from them in the future.
and if that doesnt work tell them you will restore the worlds ailling kitten population if they team with you (see i7 threadS)

In Warburg last month there was a Scrapper who was using Elude to charge into a mob of 4/5 Villians including my stalker.
So after a vain attempt to AS i decided to burn some ACC insps and hope for the best. as expected i couldn't get any hits in on him and noticed my health slowly but surely dropping. so i hit Elude as well swiftly followed by the Newspaper Emote -
Afraid not, your pets are just there and do thier thing till they need re-summoned.
the only command you can give them is to dismiss them by typing /release_pets
afraid that the lot.

Thanks very much everyone, looks like i'll be going for Shiver.
Ta very much once again -

I don't have either cone, I dislike cones, I dislike DoT and I mistrust recharge slow since it doesn't stop the alpha strike.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is indeed a good point. -
I've just started an Ice/Ice Dom and i'm enjoying it so far. I'm planning on making him a support toon so that means i'm not going to go for much of the secondary pool.
From the primary pool there is Shiver which is a cone attack with -SPD and -Recharge. In the secondary there is Frostbreath (cone attack with moderate DoT, -SPD and -Recharge). My plan is to take one of these two but not the other. So.... after a long winded build up my question is this.
Is the debuff from Frostbreath anywhere near as good as Shiver?
i'm not all that bothered about the DoT from Frostbreath (i know it doesnt do as much as its Firey counterpart) but if the debuff is decent compared to Shiver then it would be a nice bonus.
Thanks to anyone who replies. -

If nothing else i say we try and gank demote DS for choosing Tomb Raider over our sultry tones, and also because he's responsible for several ecoli outbreaks throughout Scotland.
[/ QUOTE ]
I hate you!!!
and for the record i have never caused an E-coli out break in Scotland or anywhere else for that matter.
On a seperate note, i did hear that the body of a Ice/Energy Dominator was found, intial reports indicate that he was slaughtered by a rather handsome Peacebringer in Siren's Call just before Christmas. They brought him back to life and found out that he was to chicken to accept a rematch that was offered his way. just incase anyone was intrested i think his name was Winter the Cack
and yes i will get a Mic at some point in the near future.
And as for Tomb Raider... disgustingly easy. -

Dark is by far the best, especially with necro primary.

Very well said -
