Ill/rad plays very differently solo and on a team, at least in my experience so far. Solo, I have to take a while confusing things before starting on a spawn, if I want to win fights without getting whacked. Unless PA's up, which at 18, it usually isn't.

Quote:Three years ago, I woulda taken this for black humor and excessive cynicism. All Leads eventually get blamed for things that were well outside of their sphere of control. I've come to accept and deal with this.
Since then, I've become a tech lead on one small part of a project, and found that it is in fact exactly correct.
You guys make a great game. Remember, if your game sucked, no one would be complaining about it; they are so furious in their complaints because they love the game, and it upsets them when it's not Even More Amazing. -
When I first checked the page, it showed "Pending" transactions; 3 400-point ones on account #1, 4 on account #2. Or maybe vice versa. By the time it was processing them, it was 4 on each.
I think my sub date for one account was the 13th or 14th, though, so that might be it. -
It's entirely true that rational thought cannot always explain why people are happy or unhappy.
But in the cases where it can't, you're done, because you have just ruled out the possibility of thinking about or analyzing things. There's nothing to say, do, discuss, or act on; you just have to move on and work on the things you can think about. -
I don't know whether this is some Sinister Plot or just an amusing technical error, but I don't much care. I'm not buying more points than I would otherwise anyway.

Weren't there two different ones, or something? Mission Transporter was an every-3-hours door teleporter that came with the Mac CoH or something.
-
Huh, aren't those the auras you're supposed to unlock by a mission at level 30? (Except Wisp, which we supposedly got for using the ncsoft launcher.)
-
I played a little bit today, and I found a three pixel area of the screen where clicking caused me to target an enemy rather than interacting with the Paragon Market in some way. Plz fix.

Quote:I really hope that happens, I think you'll find that encouraging people to join the community is a big draw for getting them to sign up for more.In preparation for the rollout of Freedom, and also preparing for the possibility of giving Free and Premium users *limited* forum posting capability we're going to be testing some changes to how your forum accounts function as VIP subscribers. You'll notice some updates throughout the next few weeks, so please stay tuned.
That said, we still need the ability to ride them like ponies. -
Quote:You can find out in part by browsing the costume creator. One thing I found annoying. With the costume pack compilations (vanguard/barbarian/etc) while I could find a decription of the pack itself, I could find no description of which items were in it, until after I'd bought it. Perhaps this is missing from the item descriptions?

I have already, just in case, created a character named Rotary Club.

"free verse" was my way of describing the gratuitously many line breaks in the breadcrumb thing caused by having the VIP message (which can't be linebroken and is always two lines at full width, so far as I can tell) shoving it out to the side.
If it were up to me, I'd do:
[ Breadcrumbs ] [ User Box ]
[ VIP Message Goes Here ]
so it was less cluttered. -
I don't know about 400 points 3 times. I do know that buying the 8k points gets you 9600 points and 8 tokens.
... The irony being that I did this in part so that I could get costume parts and such for DOCTOR FREEMIUM, the thugs/ mastermind I'm running on Exalted. -
As many people have noticed, some costume pieces are no longer findable, for one reason or another, due to the reorganization.
First one I've found: For "Shirts" tops, one of the options was a chest detail called "Scarf 1" (and another called "Scarf 2"), which were the sort of sailor-handkerchief things you use for things like schoolgirl uniforms. These pieces seem to no longer exist.
(I am very happy, though, with the shift of chest details into categories.) -
I believe I speak for us all when I say:
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.
... BTW, the Backpack wasn't in the featured list, which is why I haven't bought it yet. -
Someone in-game was claiming that the behavior of Detonate varies by pet type. For bots, it's scaled by pet, so battle drones do less damage than assault bot, but for ninjas it's the same regardless because the pets carefully set the bomb down, making it its own separate thing.

I'd be inclined to grab it. Er. I did. On both accounts. I don't even usually like weapon blast sets, and redraw makes it seem unfun to me unless they add a Trick Bullet set. But! WHO CARES? IT IS A GIANT GUN!
This is CoH. If they let you replace your secondary for any AT with the Die Horribly set, which has nine death animations including the ghoul one, and when you trigger a power in it you die (using that animation), people would take it. And build characters that could, at the very least, run at +1/x8. -
*millions*, sure. *tens of millions* would be hard. Millions, just buy level 45 and 50 common recipies and vendor them.

The VIP Subscriber message should be below the forum breadcrumbs and account info. As is, it makes the breadcrumbs really narrow, yielding:
city of heroes forums > english >
development > gameplay /
technical issues & bugs
post new thread
which honestly looks more like bad poetry than like a useful navigation tool. -
Reset passwords, tried to log in, failed.
Waited 15 minutes, logged in okay. -
My solution:
1. Keep sub.
2. Also buy points.
... Only it'd be like $500 more for me to get T9 on both accounts, and while I dig the game, that's... too much. -
Quote:Just a question:Hello Eden's Fall,
The Tier 9 VIP rewards are on a rotation. When they phase out, they will not be forever unavailable. Rather, they will be replaced by something else for a while, but at a later point in time, you will have the option of acquiring the set when it gets rotated back in.

What happens if we want two sets of T9 VIP rewards?
It seems as though once we've selected T9 rewards once, we're sorta stuck. -
Interesting! I previously scrolled down to Exalted just fine, but now I can't.
-
Quote:Yeah, I'm on annual plans because they're cheaper, not because of the rate at which they produce reward tokens.I'm not sure how concerned NCSoft will be your intention to pay them $179.88 over the course of the year, rather than $143.88 up front.
Look at it this way: You can have a credit card with pretty abusive rates, put the $143.88 on it, and make minimum payments all year, and STILL spend less money than you would paying the $179.88. -
Zwillinger has said that they don't have details yet, but those parts WILL be available in some other way later -- this is not a one-chance deal.
