dunno how big their dictionary is, empathy, empathic or the like probably would have been fine, but i have only heard of someone as an "empath" in comic and sci-fi terms, usually for a form of a psychic. case in point, firefox doesn't know the word. ok, moving on, his name is intentionally supposed to be "sidekickish" before robin became a walking linkin park song, sidekicks used to be goofy and silly, it fits the theme. I rather like it. besides, jay is apparently "nice axe" where can you go from there? did he also have a half-a-bee named eric?

well, i wouldnt say no. we did get the jester set, a sventure showed in the pic, we have the carnies who heavily evoke the clown feel..with scantily clad women to boot. so its not like clowns are entirely excluded, powersets would be interesting, but with new power sets, they really try to keep the themes general, a clown set would only work for clowns. now if there were to be clown themed customizable animations for devices/traps, then we are talking, but there are clown themed things ingame, its jsut there are a LOt of different concepts in the superhero genre to work with, and we dont even have dinosaurs or a proper chinatown/little tokyo, lets get those comic staples in first before clowns get a second pass

well you see, in the world of people who actually are not perfect, sometimes we see that we could do better, so rather than throwing out something that doesn't impress, we work on it more so that its better. Blizzard and nintendo have a pretty good record of this, takes forever for their games to come out, but they generally are better for it. You need to hang out with more imperfect people, as mortals are different and can better understand the burden of imperfection..that or your customers are tossers

on liberty, never. LAst nigth we ran the mothership twice, our team had a stalker, im an emp, i was thrilled, because with buffs he could do significant damage to the bigger rikti, and with my powers i could make his lower hp meaningless.

The problem, such as there is, is that there are now 4 melee at's(5 if you count night wids, though they do have some range too) having them shine at something that is always useful for every team is just not going to happen, people just have to accept that in coh even is someone is not bleeding edge optimal, they still are more than enough for the challenges set forth in the game. maybe a brute or scrapper last night would have given more aoe damage, but who cares, the stalker did his job, and we all had a good time, im not going to hole up in a mountain so spreadsheets demanding that specific mathematical levels be reached to have fun, and i daresay that most players are the same. Even the minmaxers dont seem fully crazy, they just don't want a teammate with none of their marquee powers.

If anything its the newer and less experienced players who think they need to bring an m1 abrams tank to a knife fight that would have this misconception, not experienced vets who know what they are talking about.
