Quote:I think it is doc arvins's arc, where you are looking for patient zero. There's an old homeless person in the underground which places Praetoria within the former United States of America. You come across him in one of the VERY early missions. I just can't remember which path. I believe that there are other references which strongly imply that Praetoria is in the United States.

if you mean the little comics that showed what was in the issues, that was actually chase arcanum.
-
eh, the revival of the comic would not be the best news for me. maybe , just maybe it would drum up some interest, but for me its additional cost for something that is secondary to the game. so I'm ambivalent to a return of the comics. now manybe doing them as quick encapsulations of the issues wouldn't be horrible, but really i just dont have a strong desire for a comic.

ok, new facebook update: just a pic of horus, ww and apex over a damaged city, boomtown maybe? i think it was the cover illustration of the last comic to focus on those three, but i cant be sure.
-
its a fb update, just got it myself, ill admit, i am piqued.
-
one or two, you will barely notice it, just casually purple io out your character with customized power colors and get ready to fight your doppleganger in a morality mission, same old same old.

now i know where she got the idea for her costumes, scissor man helped her.
-
i am entertained.
as an entirely tangential comment, leg accessories would be cool too. -
you know chaos, not to start a parallel discussion about it, but i think that is the distinction between a booster pack, as the party one is being advertised, and a super booster, which is what the 5 origin packs were called. a super booster will have more in it.
anyhow, my speculation, they probably will address the party pack business, likely announce more boosters, might even give a ballpark figure as to when i19 might begin beta testing. and hopefully offer some hints about future content. id like to see what the deal is with the migrating npc costume stuff is that david was getting at. if that were part of a free issue rather than a booster, i suspect that might reassure some of us (strenuously points to self) -
one possible side benefit of the movie. at the local book store, they are completely sold out of scott pilgrim books, so o'malley may be reaping the rewards on a different level.

its odd to put all the customer service under one person, particularly a musician withlittle customer service background. she did cure one of my issues with a disappeared npc by singing "paper planes" though.

/jumps on sams back and rides him around like a pony.
it is an inevitable consequence of how individuals value different heroic actions. i know when i read ina's post, i had issues with a number of his classifications, but you know, its a personal thing, and the developers really can only work with the basic concepts they have laid out for the alignments and hope they hit people's happy points occasionally. Hopefully the system keeps growing and we see more refinement of the concepts. I know that i personally would love to see rogues be more good, but that is a personal valuation because i really dont like playing actual evil characters, and wouldn't work for everyone. -

unless you could find citation, no, it was part of the beta, but i do not recall any official announcement of them as being part of i18 or gr. Of course, i could have missed something, but i think it was just assumed from their presence in beta.

well, i will wait to see what "Sports" means, i made soem suggestions and want to see whats up.Quote:eh, dancing really is an aesthetic/rp thing. compared to many mmos, we have more than one at least. And besides, we have paid for dances before, remember the robot? that was from the cyborg pack.Really? Reaaally? This actually genuinely upsets me, only because we get perhaps the worst dance emotes I've ever seen in a game, dance moves no one would ever do ever, and the devs give us much better ones for a price. That just feels really dirty.
"Here ya go, you get this craptacular ****. You want to upgrade to something that isn't ****? Gotta buy it extra."
EDIT: just watched the trailer, hmm so far, just emotes, no mention of costumes...will have to wait for the announce, i notice the price is slightly lower. but not much. -

dang mammals won out with superior groundwork.

Quote:nothing will make everyone happy, its really up to you do decide whats the breaking point. you dont suggest anything constructive here, so they really cant go on that to improve, but again, it is ultimately subjective, if its not for you, nothing to do but go elsewhere. i played several more popular mmos out there, and found repeatedly that they lacked a combination of elements to make me happy, clearly from the volume of positive threads, some people enjoyed it, so nothing to do but make a choice.I don't like any of the GR crap, the best stuff they released was free issue 18 stuff and there wasn't a lot of that either.
I know people are gonna be butthurt about my post cause lolCoHfanboys but seriously this game and it's developers have nothing to offer anymore.
i will note that when you post in /4chan speak, you make your own ad hominem against yourself. -
Quote:i recall the stacked quicksands from earth thorn casters making me quit playing my sr out of teams for a while. the devs toned them down, they used to stack several times deep, and destroy defense. That defense debuff resist actually isn't all that good at level 22. It goes up as you level.
And, yes, I believe the Slag Golems have a -DEF component to their attacks.
My reflexes scrapper, even in the 40s, would easily get laid out by -DEF effects (Guardians from the Devouring Earth and those horrible -DEF auras they lay down were the worst). Of course, the trade off is other foes were nothing but sword fodder. -
ok, out of curiosity, it was previously stated that optical is the alt account of the guy who published that paper on coh pvp a while ago, con anyone confirm or deny this.

Quote:and again, it is a trade off, once i have decent defense and hit elude, anything without +to hit would make more headway against a granite than me.or so it feels. Most of what people are saying here seems to be accurate. I probably never really noticed because my only other SR toon(a spines/SR scrapper) teamed almost exclusively up into level 30 where he currently sits unplayed.
It seems like some NPCs have a sneaky +to-hit though. I have noticed some of them hitting consistently even on my Fortunata who has higher defense than my SR overall.
