Quote:actually it interests me very much because it s a new pool power set. we havent added a new one of them since launch. This intrigues me greatly.People. i'll tell you now..do not look into this anymore then what it is... we have a new pool power coming soon..that is alllll we know. don't go saying this n that cos its pointless.
As of its name- i look forward to see what it could be.
oh and add me to the group that says please dont make these origin bound, this is a very good thing for letting people feel less restricted by the primary/secondary set up of the game, I love it and hope that it leads to something, heck, lets go crazy(and i repeat, this is just speculation, i dont know nothin, nor do i claim to) but if they are working on power pools, might they finally be looking at giving us customization? well, not betting my inner child on that one, new pools good, and for a few of my chars this is could be a a set i will be rerolling and taking on concept alone. -
It may be accidental, but i'm begging the devs to keep it in.

Magic or science. technically a number of my magics should actually, probably be natural, since they are more unusual creatures, but normal for their type. I tend to avoid mutant, because comics have completely destroyed the definition of mutant, and really I cant rectify what i know about what a mutant is with what comics have done to the word. Tech also gets love, im a sucker for powersuit anime.

Any sort of dinosaur island type adventure.

You know, one thing i find an interesting bit of interpretation. the idea of dark astoria and the various gods involved to be magical. by strict definition, they would be natural, they may have crazy powers, but nothing inconsistent with what their usually defined powers are. so i'd even take da off the list of strictly magical, its just BIG natural.
and as others have said, praetoria was almost entirely tech and mad science, the game does both, most likely battallion will be ultratech invading aliens (much like the rikti, who are almost entirely non magical, and were a previous focal point)
frankly I'm glad this game works both themes in and does not feel strangled into an excessively narrow definition of the genre, such narrow minded interpretations of the genre would make the game significantly worse. -
Quote:or massive fire breathing demons. "gee, im glad you called forth the dark armies of hell to get back my purse by bathing a human being in hellfire, i had my 3 A's card in it"I don't know... Having six heavily-armed mercenaries unload enough ammunition into a purse-snatcher to reduce him to hamburger meat doesn't strike me as any less vicious than seeing wolves and lions maul said purse snatcher.

that is a personal opinion. I have been on teams where players were filler because of a few pimped out characters that did all the heavy lifting, and have seen leagues hinge on a few skilled players who shined in their role. its all how you play

and you were still one soldier of 8. Ultimately the scope really is "its all you" or, " you are one of a group" the size of the group is largely a matter of preference, either you are doing it alone, or you are part of a unit.

a new zone, new trial, new incarnate slot, at least 3 new enemy groups and at least 3 new costumes is light? You can always want more i guess, but that doesn't sound that bad to me really.

while hybrid certainly is interesting, and whapping the champ of the well (hami? tyrant? praetorian becky the tarantula?) the big thing for me is the costume stuff. mecha stuff is very much my interest, and i will probably be able to work with the armor stuff too.
I hope i am reading it right that hybrids also add powers rather than just passive buffs like a second alpha slot, much undignified squeeling will commence if scrappers get a breath weapon. ice, fire, dont care if its bees, just lemmie be a dragon.
also, more magic, I approve, now lets see if nighthunter has a dinosaur, then ill go bonkers. -
Quote:This was within days of him being laid off it was noticed. before cryptic hired him for (presumably) nwn. he also had stopped interacting with us some time before and nelson had been credited for most of the animations prior to that.Considering that Chris hasn't been with Paragon Studios since October 2010 it's likely that the DX11 game he was working on was either Champions or another game at Cryptic Studios (his current employer).
He was actively working on City of Heroes until PS did their layoff in October 2010, not a different game. -
not much, compared to some of the early posters who were dropping 200 when the market was first announced. probably about 50 bucks all told. and thats for every powerset outside of beast (im not a big mm guy, ill get it on the next monthly point stipend) Every costume set period, including the pilgrim hat, and the coyote and flying carpet power, as well as 4 global costume slots when they were on sale. and absolutely nothing on gamble packs, nor any vet tokens.
as for how i see the market. we got more costume sets in the same time frame than we have at any point that i remember in coh's history, outside of launch and cov. we also got 6 new powersets with another one on the cusp. 2 of them were free with sub, compared to the past, thats a fast turn around. you get what you pay for in life. -
well, even ncsoft games they really dont let us go on about at length. as for the general press, likely because nothing was shown since i believe e3. once more is known, we will have something to talk about..on other forums.

Sees posters angrily advocating that tankers have a harder time cutting the rope than their comic counterparts.

I liked the vanity pet, its my kind of humor.

actually, if i put on a cheongsam, are they obligated to finally put one in the game(like i have nagged for for 7ish years)? I am prepared to shave my legs for this.
-
they added little john to the game. you should get 2 more prompts. "What?" and "All right" Usher is also a elite boss.
-
check the main page, the market got new things.

Reminds me of a similar thing in another game Had a mission where characters were supposed to die to further the plot, but i took out everyone too fast, so they just fell over. I joked that they must have had really high cholesterol.
