martial arts may have been a reason, no question there, but someone, dont know whether it was a developer or a poster who had chatted during a meet and greet had confirmed that it was part of a host of issues and just reconciling martial arts really wouldnt fix the other problems, and in jay's posts he really just says he wasnt happy with what they were able to make. now maybe under a new graphics engine(which has been hinted but is bu no means confirmed) they might have wiggle room or something different.
I know i have been following the robes/dresses thing because i keep hoping for an outfit like lau from virtua fighter for rian, but the no long robes thing kind of puts a kibosh on that. -
Just for a historical question then, because the lore does interest me. during this time, the russians were pushing back successfully against the Nazis after their victory at stalingrad , would their supers have made a difference and perhaps cut into axis territory? making a russian zone outside of reichsman's influence, but instead under the successors of the stalinists?

[/ QUOTE ]Can you find where they ever stated that it was martial arts holding it back? Looking through jay's post history he mentions robes/dresses below the knee just looking below his standards on player characters, but never mentions the animations being an issue, could you source that? -

Powers can be individually customized per costume slot, but not supergroup mode.

seriously guys, this is one of the features i have wanted since i started way back in 04, first weapon customization, and now this, this just made my week last week when we found out, and the last few months have needed some good news. -
the interesting thing to me is that it seems to show that you can select the powers during creation, meaning that those of us who dont get into closed beta can still futz around with it, i appreciate that because my work schedual makes the time commitment required by beta testing unfeaseable and as such would not make a good beta tester. but now i will be able to at least try it out when it hits cb in a limited capacity.

if you have a chance, and they have a running build up, could yu see which martial arts animations were changed, and a rough desription of the changes. thats my BIG issue and im chomping at assorted bits for any info on it.

did they ever fix halos? i remeber back during the winter event they said them being non-tintable was a bug..well..i know you guys were busy but any news on that?

well buzz, i have been a little surprised with the lack of story as well, but honestly, given the amount of mechanical additions, im not overly surprised. AE and power customization are big things, and given that they may have taken up most of the time of staffers usually used to generate parts of contnet, as well as having people creating content for the big expansion, its not entirely surprising. Using issue 10 as a benchmark may be setting the bar a bit high, that was one of the msot content heavy releases we have had, compared to faultline, croatoa, heck, even the hollows, and it introduced no real new mechanics, Other than cross faction teaming, and we kind of had that with the v-day mishes) so i really wouldnt expect something like that for a while.

Speaking of runners, that was another fix -- you used to have to be ahead of a runner to be within melee range of it, based on how the computer kept track of npc mob positions and your position. That was really annoying.
[/ QUOTE ]true, but the enemeis had some non-euclidian wide-reciever skills and always zigzagged me, my system wasnt exactly beefy back then, so i tended to have to predict things before visual reality sluggishly reacted. -

does justice have a server channel? those are good for getting teams, particularly task forces.
