After completing Katie Douglas' story arc, I went to the contact she introduced to get the mission then went back to the survivor compound to level up. The Hetman was standing there with Noble Savage but at this point, he is suppose to be removed from the map and only Noble Savage is suppose to be standing there.

Weird. Today I noticed this on my buff/debuff tray during the final Noble Savage mission in First Ward. Strangely it is showing a stacking of 2 on the icon. After completing the mission it is still there. Noble Savage doesn't have any more missions and I took the first mission of Katie Douglas, which Noble introduced me to. The other thing is: it does NOT show up in my Temp Powers list. In the screen shot you are seeing everything in the list. (PPD Hardsuit is first in the list and The Fool is last)

Weird. After completing Nadia's story arc and unlocking Palatine (Anna) as a contact, the NPCs that aren't suppose to be there yet are now gone.
Noble Savage no longer standing next to The Hetman. Edited for typo. Just realized I've been spelling "Paletine" as "Palpetine". lol

To be more specific, your head needs to be set to Standard or Full Masks. And yes, the Bubble Helmet is under Detail 2. There is actually 3 versions of it. A version with just the bubble without the thing on the bottom, a version that has just the 'breather' part on the bottom front, and a version that has the breather and a ring that goes all the way around the bottom of it.

Hmm.....Logged in today and went to First Ward to continue my missions and the NPCs are still there when they aren't suppose to be yet.
Edit: Added screen shot of Candlestick

Quote:I like this game. Take into consideration: I created my account on Sept. 29, 2011. (A couple days after the game went F2P I believe) First paragon point purchase so I could upgrade my account was October 6 for $5. So I've earned that many tokens in several month's time. (January and May were the only months I didn't buy pointsOkay, you've never subbed to the game. But have 95 tokens...
Ye flipping GODS you've spent a pretty penny on Paragon points!)

Quote:I'm not sure if I can manage thatYes, if you have enough Paragon Reward Tokens, you can subscribe for a month and claim the Tier 9 VIP costumes then unsubscribe while keeping the costumes.
Note, that means you already have Tiers 1-8 filled (34 Paragon Reward Tokens total placed) plus being a subscriber plus the available tokens for the VIP costume sets.
Once you have unlocked the set, it is permanent on your account.
Note: I've never subscribed to the game and the 1 token in VIP tier 9 is the Super Pack token slot. Issue 23 moved that slot from non VIP tier 9 to VIP tier 9. I had placed tokens in the slot sometime prior to the slot being moved on May 31, 2012 and that's why it shows up there.
Thanks to all that responded. I'll have to scrounge up some moolah and go VIPfor a month so I can get the super cool Mecha Armor
.

Thinking about it, I have a theory I will have to try out later. Right now it's late and I need to get to bed.

Not sure what you call the mechanic. It's the part where a part of a zone permanently changes after you complete certain missions. (The area north of Aaron Thiery in Atlas Park will have different NPC enemies in the area after you complete his arc but it's only visible for your character you completed the arc with, as an example.)
Anyhow, I got to First ward and I was doing the second mission from Mistress Nadia and had to go to the survivor compound and talk to a couple NPCs for the mission. I went into the hospital to buy inspirations. When I came out I saw Anna standing across the way next to a door, which I believe goes to The Monarch NPC but I wasn't able to enter it yet. I haven't even gotten far enough into Nadia's story arc to have even met The Monarch or found Anna yet.
Mission I am on:
Anna outside across from hospital:
Here we have Noble Savage standing next to The Hetman. The problem: I am currently on Nadia's story arc, Palpetine (Anna) is next. At the end of Palpetine's arc, The Hetman is removed from the map permanently and REPLACED by Noble Savage. Noble Savage then becomes your next contact after Palpetine. Noble Savage does not appear in the survivor compound UNTIL he replaces Hetman and becomes a contact with missions available.
Don't have a screen shot of it, but the carnival of light NPC, Candlestick, is standing in the middle of the compound down below The Hetman/Noble Savage. I have not gotten so far as to go inside the building to talk to The Monarch, then go to the second floor in there and talk to Candlestick. At this point he is still being held captive inside the building with other carnival of lights inside a 'jail cell' made out of a fence. (As of now I am not even able to enter the building The Monarch is in.) -
Currently I'm sitting on 8 reward tokens from buying paragon points this month and 6 is needed to get all of the Fire&Ice plus the Mecha Armor costume pieces. If I were to subscribe for 1 month, claim the rewards with my tokens, then let my subscription lapse, would I be able to keep and use the Fire&Ice and Mecha Armor costume pieces?
I have no desire to be VIP or even stay subscribed, but I really really want that Mecha Armor. Sorry if this has been asked before. -
Wha? Here is my response to THAT:

(Although I've never been to college, but you get the picture) -
Quote:This is not entirely true. It depends on where you live. I buy paragon points through my NC Soft master account only and have never ever been charged sales tax, or tax of any kind. If you buy the point cards in a store, in most cases, you WILL pay sales tax, and I'd be fine with that. The problem is, when you buy points, NcSoft charges you tax. You will need not a fifty dollar point card, but a fifty-five dollar point card..and then you will see some change trapped on the card.
How do other online games who have point cards handle tax when buying points??? -
Quote:http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Entruste...et_Badge#NotesThat is a good point, that would suck at least if your looking for a badge. Ouroboros is a good place... Still have to be level 25 to get there right. =)
Level 14 minimum actually. -
Quite frankly I'm getting sick of the enemy AI. Often times without damaging enemies or using any kind of power on them, they will take off running as soon as I aggro them. And there are times when an ambush will spawn, get halfway to me from their spawn point, then suddenly turn and run in the opposite direction back to their spawn point.
And it's really annoying when an enemy takes off like a bat out of hell super fast and keeps on running. Such as villain Mu enemies, longbow eagles, and others. -
Quote:Would you by chance have another email registered with the game? It is strange you didn't get one. Is it possible you have been genericed in the past? I'm not sure how it works, but my guess (I could be wrong) is if you've gotten in trouble for a character name before, they will basically force you to stick with the Generic 000 000 000 name or purchase a name change token and only the first time you get genericed they will change your name for free. Edit: (Probably not your case)Yeah I knew I was asking for it with that name. Anyway I checked my e-mail and there was nothing there :/
I was genericed myself about a week or two after I started playing. Not just my character name but also my costumes. Apparently "Adam of Eternia" and a costume that looked like a blue man with a hood and yellow skeleton face was against the rules. I asked in help what happened to my character name and after the snarky "YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID" comment by 1 player, others explained the situation and told me to check my email (I had no idea what happened since I was new to the game) I did and had what was described here. In my case I double checked the name I wanted by way of new character creation and found it was available. This was the only name I gave them. It was a character name I have had in Guild Wars at the time for over 5 years (as of May 2012 the character is 6 years old).
That character has been known since my genericization as Lothor The Evil. And I learned my lesson. I didn't think the name I originally had would be considered infringing.
Edit: I was also giving a free costume change token for each of the costume slots I had at the time for that character but the costume tokens were given automatically. Only the name I had to have them manually change. -
To those I may have offended I'm sorry. My opinion about women was false, but the news report on the subject was true.
I did this as a test to prove a point: people can be easily offended by words. Whether it is a character name in a MMO, or just you politely expressing your opinion of an observation in life. It sucks that people can be so easily offended and hopefully one day humanity will learn not to be. But until then we have to strive to better ourselves and try to have consideration for others.
Sorry for the mild uproar I caused, but hopefully you can see the point.
And yes, my "observation" was not true about women. Men can be just as easily offended.
Edited for typos 'cause I'm a N00B. -
I agree. I would like this option as well. When I first started playing the game right after it went f2p, I went to my local Gamestop but all they had was the VIP time cards. Don't remember if it was the 1 month and 2 month cards or just the 2 month cards only or 1 month only.

I don't think making the bank mission you receive be random is a good idea. At level 50 you have to do 5 radio/newspaper missions before you get a bank mission.
So, if you need only 1 exploration badge in a certain mission, you may be unlucky and end up doing 20 random other bank missions before you finally get that one you need.
Doing the math, you would end up doing 100 radio/newspaper and 20 bank missions for a total of 120 before you get the one you need. It would be too time consuming if you have a streak of bad luck like in my example.
I have seen players in game often times mention they would like the safeguard/mayhem missions added to ouroboros so you can choose the 1 you need. The problem with that is it would make the detective/broker contact obsolete. (kinda obsolete in regards to new contacts the detective/broker introduces you to because you can do those contact's missions through ouroboros without ever having been introduce to them before) Although, I would be for adding bank missions to uoroboros. Rather annoying having to do a bunch of other boring missions first before you can do a bank mission. Too time consuming as it is already. -
Someone was nice enough to fix the problem on the wiki page.
Now I can see which contacts are VIP only. The part that said "Regular Contacts - Requires a VIP subscription" was to the bottom right of the table of contents instead of being directly above the contacts below the contents. I'm happy now. (and less confused)

Quote:#1. If a player reports you and your name is found to be in violation of the rules you get genericed regardless of how old the character is.So in my 4 years of playing this game i have never been genericed till recently. My elec/thermal corr was named Godamn Electric Bill (couldn't fit 2 d's). Now I'm not complaining, I honestly should have seen it coming. I'm just wondering what words are and are not allowed, and if there's a list of these words anywhere. Would I be allowed to say just Damn Electric Bill? or do i have to say darn or dang?
Also for some reason I was under the impression that if they change your name you get a rename token the first time, but apparently that's not the case?
#2. No idea if there is a 'list' of words banned for character name creation (Personally I hope there is). If there is such a list, I highly doubt the developers would reveal such a list. The reason being is so that players do not find a way to bypass the filter by spelling words differently or putting spaces between the letters or any other creative way to make an offensive character name.
#3. As has been suggested: check your email you have registered for contact with your NC Soft Master account. The email should tell you to file a support ticket with the reference number in the email and give them 3 names to have them manually change your character name for you. You can have 1 name as a priority and if it is taken they will choose another of the 3. If all names are taken, or not allowed, try giving them some more names. If you can't reach an agreement on a name because they are all taken, buy a character name token from the Paragon Market and change it yourself. -
Quote:I just realized the reason for my confusion: The "Regular contacts, requires VIP subscription" is to the bottom right of the table of contents on the wiki page instead of being directly above which contacts it refers to."Regular Contacts" has the VIP flag because they're VIP only. All the other contacts do not have the flag because they're not VIP only. This is the same function that all of the wiki operates under. Articles that are wholly VIP only are flagged at the top; articles that are essentially free are not flagged at the top. Subsections that are VIP only are flagged; anything that is not flagged, including other subsections, is free.
I added the VIP flag to the four contacts' articles listed under "Regular Contacts". I did not create/update those pages so I am not to blame for those misses.
Fireball and Trilogy are 30-50.
Edit: When clicking on Montague Castanella and the others as part of his arc I now see the VIP subscription notice at the the top. Either I didn't notice it before, or it was added recently. Thanks to whoever did that and sorry if I'm being a pest. Sadly I get confused easily.
