Purple sets are mostly for + recharge

    Grab Weave, maneuvers, combat jumping

Slot steadfast +3, Gald +3, kinetic combats, reactive armors, obliteration, 2 taunt sets to work with and brute fury ATO at superior can be split up in 2 separate powers giving you +10 S/L - There are some others but those above usually will work

    Suggestions??

Only one of the sets with a damage aura can be said as being squishy and that is fie, but you can still slot them and make them pretty good.

Electric and Dark are both great sets and get even better when slotted and toward the end game.

I wish all the sets had a damage aura since they help so much with keeping agro and not having to waste attacks on mobs with lower health.
  3. Its possible but not really worth it. Mine is sitting at 67% res S/L and could go a bit higher with 6 slotting brutes fury instead of splitting it up. My build is also softcapped to S/L defense and as much +hp and regen that I can get in. My electric brute is very survivable and I think its better to get a mix then just try and cap S/L resistance.

With melee core Hybrid with 7 around you I could cap with my build, but I would rather have melee Radial if looking for that extra boost if I am lead meat shield, otherwise I'm just using assault for damage.
  4. This is the 1 TF I hate the most to do, just because how long it can take at times. If you have the right team it can fly by, get a standard PUG and it can drag on.

With 5 defeat alls - I would get rid of 3 especially the 3 right up front with the same map usually.

Get rid of the trip to Boomtown, and remove the last run to Positron (no reason for one person to run to another zone while fighting Babbage)
  5. You can count my wife and I in if you have spots

I will bring my +3 brute Elec\elec\dark - Single target attacks slotted very high for av's, T4 on about everything, have seers, Fury of the gladiator (-res) slotted as well

My wife Isabela will bring her +3 Fire\kin Corr she has seers and lots of t4's

Both listen and follow well and have the Ultimates
  6. I would rather see a Toxic melee set that would include a toxic vomit cone and maybe a explosion (PBAOE) if they could put in a damage like aura that trails behind you that would be something new and different.

There are a few people in comics who use this powerset it could represent anything from toxic venom to chemical burns although some could also be representative with Radiation as well.

A few are Doctor Phosphorus(DC Villian), Chemo(DC Villian), Chemical King (Legion Member) Im sure there are many more.
  7. We did this easy the other night. Waited for the 250 timer - had a bunch use level shift, use Lore and goto town.

Kins are great during this part for FS, as well as a taunter to gather them up for aoe/nukes.

On the Av's Chimera first then gather the other 2 up together and Shadowhunter first.
  8. I would love to see a big battle of Dc heroes vs the Dc villains but don't think it would translate well on the big screen. The only way it could possibly work is if they did the hero movies first and had them fight the villain that would show up in the JLA movie, that would be a hard thing to lock down and make happen.

Instead I would rather see the big bad either being Braniac with his robot armies or Darksied and his. Yes I know it sounds like Avengers a bit with facing off against a army but at least the JLA would have the big bad to fight as well. Throw in Lex to help side with the villains turning on them at the last minute to suit his own needs.

I know they did this formula in some of the dc animated as well. I just think that with too many villains they would all get lost in the mix like the x-men movies.
  9. Even with all the heals, you don't want to stand around close to him, the lightning strikes will stack. I have been able to shrug of a few hits especially while jumping around, but if I stay close I notice I'm getting hit by 3-4 and then I die.

On my brute I will usually jump around and use my range attacks during the strikes since I have enough HP and a self heal to stay alive.

I also noticed on one league that we were damage heavy and it seemed to go smoother.

The biggest thing is for people to stay alive and keep the damage on him. Having a few dedicated people with barrier with the rez might be a good thing.
  10. A while back they had said they wanted to reboot Batman and use that along with others for a JLA movie. I really think WB has no ideal how to make it work, they are great with there animated movies but hard to translate that to the big screen.

I think with the Superman reboot they should try and use that with Reynolds as GL and cast others to get a JLA movie out and use that as a stepping stone for a WW, Flash and batman movies with new actors.

One thing they could try is using the new new Green Arrow TV show actors and have them fill smaller roles in the movie.

On the last note they should just start out with a bang and use Darkseid or a Braniac so they can have a big bad and lots of things for them to fight.
  11. Sign me up Lil Bug +3 Elec/elec Brute have pretty much every incarnate that you would want
  12. I have seen all sorts of things that could cause the level shift. At first I was thinking it was whoever was destroying the well of lights, but that seemed random as well. On Friday my wife and me were both on camping light duty, and both were level shifted to +9 at one point. I know she was using fulcrum and transference a bit when she could, and I was on my brute so used a few ranged attacks when I could.

I noticed other light campers did not get the big shift so don't know if they did anything else. On other runs I was in the thick of it and had mixed results on the level shift.

The strange thing is the only time we succeed was the first try we didn't have that much organization going. On that run we had the lights down in a decent time but no dedicated campers. I know I was destroying the lights then jumping back in, so I may have been shifted high as others would have been to do better damage.

The other runs we had dedicated light campers and had them down in seconds but we always stalled on getting him down.
  13. Maybe I will just have to tell Felicia Day next Saturday. She will be at Origins game fair in Columbus, Ohio, I plan on going but wasn't going to stand in line for autographs.

It is a really cool ideal though.
  14. For me it comes done to how well they can be played solo or on a 2-man team with my wife, when not on a larger team.

I have played every Tank Armor except SR, and have 3 of them at 50 and the rest stuck in the low 40's. On the flip side I have more Brutes at 50 and have played the same armor set a few times on Brutes.

I usually play on PUG's and lots of TF's, but a lot of times my wife and me will do radios for safeguards or other arcs.

I always work on defense first for a tank so at the lower levels it is just painful trying to take down a few guys. Even at higher levels it can be a pain compared to a brute.

With most teams you don't need a tank, its nice to have one, especially if I'm playing a blaster or dom knowing I can go crazy.

I would love to see a change where you get a damage bonus for smaller teams, but get a little survival boost when on bigger teams, or even a larger number for agro cap or taunt is raised to 7 or 8.
  15. Ice/Cold Corr

More then buffs for survivalability and tons of debuffs to handle anything. Throw in enough rains to keep everything occupied and melting.

Oh I forgot Blizzard up on someone every mob.
  16. Somewhere Sad Keanu is shedding a tear that you left him of the list.
  17. Like others have said not that many. One good tie in was Heroclix, at least for my wife and me its how we started playing COH and haven't stopped since. Both games are very good and fun but both have small dedicated player base with little to no advertising.

Basically you got a random COH/COV Heroclix in each box of COV and a complete collection of them in the special edition. I picked up the special edition just for the Heroclix figures ( I had to have them all) then decided to give the free month a try.

They also later gave out random Heroclix figures (especially lots of Ghost Widows) at conventions and to stores that ran Heroclix events.
  18. My top 2 are trick arrow and force fields. Main reason are there are other sets that do what those sets do and have either better numbers or other powers that make them more playable.

I would either make those 2 sets top of there game on what they do (ie Trick arrow top debuff set, FF top defense set) or I would rather them become more of a mix buff, debuff, and control.

Ice control, energy melee, mercs, ninjas could use some love as well.
  19. I didn't think I would ever get that badge. Thanks for leading all the attempts Atomic Saint.

I will try and make all the runs to help you out as long as I don't take a spot that someone else may want for the badge. Now that you just need the avoid part, it will be much easier. All you need is a bunch of pets and some range damage to take him down quick, leave others well out of the area.
  20. I would donate enough money just so they could work on getting stretching powers in to the game.

That way I can get my one friend to shut up and play since he says he wont play until "you can stretch"
  21. The Numinia/miracle procs are better then the Pancrea proc in health/normal healing powers.

If you have a standard healing power like dull pain/healing aura that you are slotting for heal/recharge then the full Pancrea set minus the proc has some better set bonus then Doctored wounds.

I would really only slot the Pancrea proc if you had extra slots to use in a auto heal/heath power or maybe say on a regen with lots of room for healing IO's.
  22. I will also say he is ss/WP. It takes alot to cut his skin but when it does he can heal almost pretty fast. His healing rate could never be done with Invulnerability even with Io's.

Also Hulk has great endurance another trait in WP by Quick Recovery.

Even though WP has Psi resistance its not super high, this is also true with Hulk. He has shown in the comics at times he can shrug off many psi attacks, especially when he is in rage.
There are still at times where we have seen intelligent hulk and he has more control over his mind.

Like many comic characters its pretty hard to get them just right in game but I think a ss/wp/energy and all Io'd out would best fit the Hulk.
  23. When I have played my blasters I have my wife team up with me with a ill/emp troller.

Phantom army to take agro, group Invisibility for stealthing getting up close to mobs to fire away. A emp gives you plenty of buffs/heal/mez protection to help you survive.

I would run Death from Below to 12 and then run lower level TF's with them. Let them start them for max level and you will get really good xp from it.
  24. This is a very easy one. Hulk is a brute, and he switches from vigilante to rouge any time he wants. Big monster attacking city hero, pissed off that he was sent into deep space villain.

He is also a ss/wp and all Io'd out. Yes Hulk can withstand a ton of damage but his healing factor is crazy high as well. This is really on display when he fights people who can pierce is skin and he heals very fast. When hulk is in his battle furry in the comics he would have mind control Resistance so that would explain the psi protection.

Like many superheros its hard to explain the powers in game due to having to balance out the gameworld vs comics.
  25. My main is a elec/elec brute and I use Cardiac, I have most of all the other Alpha's unlocked to tier 4 and still think Cardiac is a great fit even on a alt that has no big endurance problems and has power sink to refill end.

The end reduction is great it really helps out by saving slots or focusing on other enhancements for powers. Even powers like a damage aura you can get by with a little end reduction with cardiac and be fine. The extra slots I save I can use to max out defense with set bonus.

At lower levels it can be a problem but nothing that blues or watching your power usage cant handle.
