I'm running Vista 64 with two Nvidia 8800s. I still need the compatible cursors tag. However, it's academic as CoH crashes out all the time with the Nvidia bug. Still no workaround/solution despite a long correspondence with tech support. The new Nvidia driver didn't fix it either. Bah! To be fair, it's a Windows/Nvidia problem which is not specific to CoH. It does seem, however, to affect "older" games more. Most games released in the last 13 or so months don't seem to be affected at all...

That bug is doing my damn head in. I ONLY get it with City of Heroes on my 9800GTX. Last night I risked letting Windows Update ruin my whole PC, and all seemed to be going well with all the updates. Three hours, Media Player blazing away in the background, no problems. Awesome I thought, problem solved, I can team again.

The log out button crashed it.

The newest nVidia drivers may have actually WORKED! Hours and hours and hours without the dreaded graphics driver crash! Constantly windows keying back to the O/S to change songs hasn't even budged it.

The world outside my gaming consists of Stevenage. Anyone who tells me I should go out and interact with it fully deserves the punch in the face I will give them for trying to take my games away from me.

At least when we took stuff from people we would subsequently betray and/or largely exterminate, we were dignified enough not to make a holiday of it. Just a couple of films. Big films mind you, but at least Zulu and Lawrence of Arabia were good.

I don't understand. You declare all money you make and the government taxes these earnings. A company (or person) selling virtual items for large overall sums is making money, which should be declared. And then taxed. And if you don't tell your government where this big pile of money is coming from, it's tax evasion, and they take all your big pile.

Why do we need different and special rules? We've got them already. Get cracking on catching the people earning and not declaring instead. Like they said, it's easy to track it. Easier than a small army of rogue builders who when questioned all didn't see nuffin' guv'nor, anyway.

It looks close enough to full settings. YouTube doesn't give enough detail to see if all the little details are shoved to maximum. I can run it like that no problem, the only annoyance is it makes you want to see graphical updates on the Hero zones.

Grass is a flat texture, so it looks bloody terrible. What I'd like is if they added...well...grass. Slower machines could just turn it right off to look like it is now, but for me it would make the game look SO much better when outside.

Other way around for me. I have Slash in early levels to fill out the attack chain, and respec it out later when I have plenty of other attacks with recharge enhancements thrown in them. By that point Parry is taking up all the spare room in an attack chain anyway.

Weave, definitely not. Tough? I wouldn't leave home without it. S/L damage can frequently come in seriously big lumps (I'm looking at YOU Cimerorans), and with Tough a willpower Scrapper can get close enough to 50% resist. Things could get a bit hairy for my toons without it, but adding it in really makes that little bit of difference that means a whole heck of a lot.

It'll probably be a case of diminishing returns though. It's a previous generation engine and frankly, doesn't seem to be the most efficient one going either. We start cramming on new graphical doodads and it'll shove requirements up faster than what we get for it.

Seeing as I'm almost, almost there with my first ever 50 (Carnal Sin is 46), will these changes make getting a Kheldian a more giggleworthy event? Reading the first page suggested to me that it would be fun to run a Human/Dwarf Peacebringer, running around in human form and generally splatting stuff, switching to Dwarf when it gets a bit hairy or to whittle down the tough groups a bit (mashing the status effect spammers no doubt) before the humanform SMASH!

And don't talk to me about the Nova. It's ugly, I don't want to be a floating blob of goo.

Ok, I have to be missing something here, someone help me, because I know I like completely overlooking obvious stuff all the time, and I just took a look at shields over on Test.

My question is thus; a base resist and defense of FIFTEEN percent!? Isn't this merely a creative way of committing suicide? Can I have Willpower instead and just stick a shield to my arm for show?
