    *bites lower lip*

There are soooooooooo many things I want to reply regarding that line... but unfortunately, there are wee ones around.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, I could do with cheering up.

    Your Blasters...

I have Elemental Onslaught at 24 now. You really need a team to have fun blasting, but I usually find Nega Pink and Nega Snoox online so I harass them for use as meatsh-....loyal companions.

Thanks for the find, but I already do that manually (well, with a calculator).

When you're not on wussy game break!
  5. Powerful characters need skill and flair to be portrayed in an RP scenario without becoming overbearing and to portray their personality without being a self absorbed child.

    You have niether.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
If what they say is true, then this whole 'prior art' argument doesn't matter anyway. The original patent pre-dates the modern mmorpg so they are perfectly with their rights to sue. To be honest i'd rather they didnt and i hope NCsoft win but i can see this happening alot more in the future, with everyone losing money some people are going to be on the lookout for anything that could bring them an income.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They have absolutely no case on the basis that this 'infringement' has been allowed to continue in a blatantly public fashion to the extent of creating a specialised industry with hundreds of companies rising and falling within it. You cannot 'hide away' a patent in such a fashion in order to wait for everyone to get rich and jump out like some mustache twirling villain going "Aha! You all owe me MONEY! Mwaaahahahaha!".

Judges will look at this, pull a facepalm emote, and tell them to go the hell away. There are always hundreds of stupid little lawsuits and stories like this going on, and this is no different apart from someone wrote a pointless article.

Technically, a bunch of people I know could sue Amazon, because they developed the net's first online book ordering system in 1995 (I did reviews and cataloguing for it). Whether or not this would be wise to do is uncertain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The company that is Amazon was created with its business plan in 1994 and opened the website on July 1995.

You could not sue Amazon. Amazon could have sued you.

Treasonous, seditious, filthy scum! People who give up on that TF without at least having tried to take Romy down for 30 mins aggravate me to no end!

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're currently on 'game break' you cowardly streak of yellow fluff.
  9. It gets even more hilarious if you go to their website and read their 'about' page. Essentially, they are trying to patent the idea of creating a 3d avatar and interacting with other people in a 3d environment. They call it 'social networking' and think they came up with it. Sony would be on the client list almost certainly because they've used these morons to work on that whole rubbish virtual world the Playstation 3 provides.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
if NCsoft do that then that would mean worlds.com would be open to take any number of companies to court...with a very good chance of winning

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, it means that NCSoft pay them money and that's it. An out of court settlement means exactly that, out of court.

It's an easy to win case anyway, NCSoft probably have some goon on retainer who can deal with this pointlessness at no real expense. Try bringing this s*** to the doorstep of Blizzard and by the end of it you'll be paying them.

Nah, just his healy one. We were a bit scuppered by a couple scurrilous desertions just when we'd hit on a winning formula that needed another go.

It was too hot! We took to calling the sun the Death Ray instead.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
    ...the sun again?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sun is overrated. It burns. I went to Spain and had to walk around in nowt but a pair of shorts. For everything! Like going to the supermarket! It just doesn't feel socially comfortable!
  15. All tanker powers say they can hit up to five people, that's the Gauntlet effect. Most of the actual attacks are single target. With the axe, Whirling Axe, Pendulum and Cleave are the only attacks which are actually AOE attacks. Cleave has a tiny one that pretty much just goes a bit forward so you can catch some other victim now and then, Whirling Axe is 360 degree pain for all and Pendulum is a 90 degree cone.

Mace and Battle Axe are largely the same, Mace is slightly better with its cone attacks and Battle Axe is single target doom. Both sets have been evened up so one or the other is more a matter of preference without worrying about being gimped.

Everyday Khorak experenices these urges, sexual or not. He whimpers in the back of a empty closet while other posters troll through the thread and hides in a small closet while the forumite gods destroy everything in their path. Khorak criesn and screams "GR! GR!" but unfortunately GR is trying to pick up women, rather unsuccesfully. Then Damz notices Khorak and shouts "Here's the new kid, Khorak! Let's beat him up!" while FFM slowly hovers over him with some friendly lesbian catgirls assisting him, and slowly crushes Khorak, the screams of "GR!" don't work and once Khorak is dead they throw him into the latest pointless General Discussion thread Tuarus has made up.

So, let that be a lesson you. Farting is a sexual urge. And don't trust lesbian catgirls.

  20. There is no solution to this problem. Any that people manage to find tends to be unique to their situation, especially since the error is not specific, it could be literally anything doing it.

nVidia and Microsoft know about this, but haven't done anything to discover if it's the drivers or Windows and how to deal with it, because they're too busy screaming that it's the other sides fault.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
But according to another thread there is no problem with abuse on these fourms.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sour grapes though, got loads of those.
  22. It's me, and that would only be a good thing.

That many?? They must have a good marketing team!

    [/ QUOTE ]

More like an incredible ability to make games so thoroughly, brutally, and viciously average they will define averageness in every genre they appear in.

Average people will stick to average games, because average is 'normal'. Take Halo as another example. Easily the biggest FPS property on the face of the planet, ever, and yet the games drown you in cloying, relaxing mediocrity. Both Halo and World of Warcraft are enormous tropes, everything people idly expect so they're never surprised and always working that 'vague interest' part of their brain that used to be reserved for daytime TV and soaps. The only actual fun you end up having is during community activities and attribute it to the game, instead of realising you'd be getting the exact same banter and fun out of a game of catch with the same people.
  24. I still don't have a 50. You people need to learn how to utterly waste time.
