Since any search for city of heroes gets you to the US site and only by changing the language (what fool thought that one up?) can you get to the EU forums. I would be amazed if anything anyone said on here ment a thing.

That's the thing Champions is just "new" there's no way the Devs can match it for new content it would be foolish to even try.
[/ QUOTE ]
The trick is not to compete, but instead show it is better to stay with what you know. Attempting a distraction (issue 15) by throwing a tired and worn ball on the ground, while shouting "look ball!". Only works with dogs. I always thought of video gamers as more of a cat mentality. They look at things and go "yeah, and?"
[ QUOTE ]
The only reason CoH has retained as many veterans as it has is because its basically the only game in town that's why many of the veterans are still here not because they "truly love the game" but because it was the only game that fulfilled a need that's why 5 years down the line even tho there largely board with the game there still here because there was nothing else.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is also why as champions comes closer to being released, CoH should be showing how much it has to offer players, old and new. Instead of lackluster offering that issue 15 is looking like it is going to be. Saying "well new players like the game", just doesn't cut it. -
If promises of devs are designed to fly high, we have devs that can't tell the difference between eagles and penguins.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Is there a list of the promises not kept i personally cant think of anything that the Devs flat out promised would happen
even proliferation happening every other was more of a wish on there part rather than a set in stone it'll definitely happen promise
[/ QUOTE ]
No more alteration to powers.
CoP will return. -

I wonder how Duke Nukem fans would feel by now, if they think alike
[/ QUOTE ]
Duke Nukem fans what are they? I thought they had all been betrayed time and time again and all hope crushed under the weight of broken promises. -
Not a moan just my opinion.
New people have a lot to see, If they don't skip it by powerleveling in the MA of course, but the veterans want something new. When that new thing on offer is an old ball wrapped in new paper, well their attention will start to wander. With a new game, namely Champions, on the horizon they may start to wander in that direction. This in no means makes CO better, just new.
I think it says something about the MA that I am more interested in a site about the MA than the MA itself. -
Personally, no. I hate "Are you sure?" boxes and turn the damn things off at every opportunity. As I see it if someone is too dumb, or drunk to check the amount paid. Bingo for the recipient.

fzzzzzzzzzz..
pop..
thud..
oh look my enthusiasm just died. What's particularly bad is that I don't really care. -

So what does this mega event actually consist of?
[/ QUOTE ]
It consists of tonnes of stuff all happening while I am at ruddy work. -
[ QUOTE ]
just remove the fecking building from 'Lowbies Land'.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes after all it's not like the lowbies go to PI or anything. Unless you want to block access based on level (really bad idea in my opinion) It doesn't matter were the building is. -
muahaha.. fresh meat.
erm.. um.. I mean hello you new mod you. -

To me mission arcs should involve the player as the main character. The story should include a start, middle and end like any story should. An excellent example of this is JD's arc. You are involved in stopping the bad guys not statesman, he even appears in a certain guise to give you the mission.
[/ QUOTE ]
An excellent point using a good example! Though for clarity I must point out that Khaine is referring to the arc of Ee-Ai-EE-Ai-Oh! (arc id:3662) and not one of my other arcs.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the one. I couldn't remember the title when I wrote that response and intended to go back and edit it in. -
Look someone has to do it..
The cake is a lie. -

Well I am sure the doctor can give you something for that. -
[ QUOTE ]
I really, really hate my keyboard.
Unfortunately, being a laptop, I cannot mutilate it without killing my only way of playing CityOf...
[/ QUOTE ]
You got a usb slot? Well you can get roll up keyboards. So go ahead.. kill it, make it an example to everyother electrical item in your house. -
muahahaha soon.. so very soon then CRY HAVOK!
-
I have to agree with Alvan. When I enter a mission with my hero. I am top dog there. I can't see any cape hero in red with a trademark faceplate. Just me and the badguys. Out in paragon he may be the top dog but in that mission it's all me.

They don't want to tag along after the hero or do the hero's laundry: that's not fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you will find that if you get to do final fold and stack that can be quite good fun. -
Excellent. There should be more guides for MA written.
-
Was it really so few. It felt like more.

Not sure I understand what you mean. The OP has an account on the EU forums. Hence the EU post, If you only have a US account you can't message EU. The same as how the EU can't message the US.
Something that has been proven by the inability of the EU to give feedback to US players and vice-versa. -
I like it. Very good idea, it will get people playing your arcs.
