Ah thanks, so am just off to get the salvage bag and that will be the max as my 66 month vet badge will be due just after my funeral lol

    Much appreciated.
  2. Hi everybody,

any idea what the max number of slots for salvage, recipes and Ww transactions an Alt can have please?

    My main has:

21 Ww slots (each for 10 items!)
    70 salvage slots
    29 recipe slots

Was just having a ponder whilst crafting away in Steel

    Thanks

PS: Ignore any SG stuff slots as I am not into that part of our game.

    We have accolades for:

    - getting badges related to the Freedom Phalanx.
    - getting badges related to Crey.
    etc.

What does earning influence have to do with being mezzed????
What does healing people have to do with Wentworths????
    Hi,
I also got an accolade called Pocket D VIP Gold member pass and I got three independant accolades. one each for doing one respec trial. Not all accolades are tied to a series.

The ones I listed are a series of "Epics" which tenuous as set they might be, but still more of a series than say the other Accolade, VIP, for buying the DVD version of the game. Just saying, thats all

Edit: To insert accolade title VIP
  5. Hi Guys

thanks very muchly for the speedy responses, RPD it will be

I know it might be a bit late in the build, but I was working to a guide build and have had a ball rolling this toon.

I was fortunate to get a spot on a Mothership raid team at lvl 20 just after the lvl restrictions were lifted and so there I was eyeball to eyeball with the Master at Arms, feeling like a proper grown up I know my taunts and attacks were like fleabites to him but it made me smile, especially getting credits towards the badges so early.

    Thanks again.
  6. Hi Guys,

    wise heads thoughts please

I pretty much have the build I like but am no where near experienced at this Tanking stuff to even make a guess at what to pick now!

Am at lvl 47 and want to take one of these primary powers:

    Resist Physical Damage
    Resist Energies
    Resist Elements

    As a heads up I am taking SuperSpeed at 49 so will have 7 slots to play with (1 at 47 - 3 at 48 - 3 at 50)

I will be a "Jobbing" Tank so no need to get too specialised.

Any thoughts will be gratefully received. Thanks
  7. Good morning,

many thanks for your responses, all of which raise valid and considered contributions.

    Cheers
  8. Hello all,

wanted to run this past the "Badging community" before either posting in the Suggestions forum or burning it

For this exercise I identify the "Epic" badges as:

    Immortal
    Exalted
    Empath
    Jailed
    Leader
    Paradigm
    Fabricator
    Power Seller
    Ouroboros Mender

(Any thoughts on the list welcomed)

What would you think of an Accolade for holding all the above? Tracked the same as the "Defeat AV's".

Or if not an Accolade, any other recognition, such as a fancy title or some such thing (a Souped up version of a Vet reward say)

If you are an "Aye", then what would you consider a suitable reward for achieving that Accolade? Something special that would reflect the effort (lol or stupidity and/or shear Bloody mindedness) required to get them. And what name could such a special Accolade have?

If you are a "Nay" could you give your thoughts as to why. I have considered these by way of trying to judge the merits of my thoughts,
    1. Holding these badges is enough reward anyway
    2. Should we be encouraging badge farming
    3. Would it be just another "Look what I got" posing trophy.

Other pertinent thoughts on the subject welcomed.

    Thanks
  9. Hi Guys,

just as a heads up, the Badge-Hunters/Vidiotmaps site seems to be down with an error message of "catastrophic hardware failure et cetera!".

Hope all is well and you get back up soon

This does not affect the I17 map download site so that is still available.

    Cheers

Edit to amend: Okay the site is now back up and working fine fast work guys.
  10. Hello,

and a very big and grateful "Thank You" to you Beef and to all your helpers for the work you do on what is a most professional and useful supplement to our gaming experience.

    Cheers to the "Team"
  11. Hi Snow Globe,

Grats on the Immortal badge, I was the guy right behind you at the issue counter with as big a grin on my face as you had

I absolutely join with you in praise of the one billion guys as 100 million was way enough for me.

I too now have all I can get and will go back to having a real life till I17 hits live. (Soon please!)

    Well done.

PS. On my trip to immortal I did wonder if the "Nigh Invulnerable" badge needs it's text changed? "Nigh" means nearly but the text says "you are now Invulnerable". Bit of a contradiction there I think?
  12. Hi SG,

    1. "Do AE kills count for the Defeat badges?"

    2. Something about the new Diff settings system and which level numbers affect the spawning of Bosses, a bit like the old Tenacity et cetera stuff

    3. "My Vet badge has not awarded on time"

    4. "Why are the Final epic badges figures STILL so ridiculously high?" et cetera.

Just a start SG, will add more for your considerations/deliberations as they spring to mind

I like having a "One stop shop" for FAQ's with links to and from seperate " Badge Guides" section, but as long as we can access the info, the manner in which I get to it is not as important as the content.

Thank you for all your work in keeping the "Badgers" community so active.

    Cheers
  13. Hello everybody,

as an aside, is there a reason why the "damage taken" series of badges has a run of seven when all the others have a run of six?

And just for my curiousity Myriad (apart from my open jawed respects to you for your version of Immortal), did you get it "in combat" or did you do an epic version of the "resting farm" as we are doing?

At my rate, to get a Billion points, would take 2703 hours, or approx 113 days at 24/7, ie nearly 4 months farming Arghhhh...............

    Cheers
  14. Hi Guys,

SG, big grats on your "Invulnerable", only one to go

I too am resting in front of a +2 Guide and my figures are as near as D**n it the same as yours. My HP is 1429 and hourly hit points approx 370,000.

I am using the flashback Castro Kadell arc at lvl 39 as the Guides are just inside the mish door and with a portal just down the corridor no chance of a stray patrol.

My expected resting hours are approx:

    for 15 million - 42 hours plus
    for 25 million - 70 hours plus
    for 50 million - 140 hours

Total 252 hours or 10 and a bit days at 24/7.

This is reaching "Papillion" on Devil's Island solitary confinement levels and he survived, so blows dust off the xbox 360 and hunts for Riddick disc!

    Cheers

Edit: To add - and when I was collecting the Day Job badges the toon was out of commision but I could still play ingame, these current damage badges targets mean the toon is tied up for a very significant amount of time and so the whole account is on hold as well.

I've only a few million for the Invulnerable badge, and about 5-7 days for the Immortal.

    My thoughts exactly.

But this is also true, after the corrected amount (1 billion). I seriously think that the developers truly have no clue as to how much damage a character takes, especially support. I can say that even just resting in front of a CoT Guide while in rest takes around 3 weeks, and I started around 7 million damage taken after 5 years.
When I hit my 33 month vet badge on my badger, a lvl 50 Claws/SR scrappie that I still take into battle every day, and still only had 7.3 million points of damage taken, I had to make the decision that even with the reduced targets I would only ever achieve these badges through "Farming".
It was not until I actually started this process and quantified the amount of time this would take that I realised just how out of sync this series of badges still are!
It would be more in line with the new badge earning culture if the Dev's had taken 2 zeroes off the totals making the last badge award at 10 million.
This as a target is still high enough to make it a journey but at the same time achievable in "normal" play. I have posted this in the suggestions forum.
What on earth were they think about when the original 1 Billion target was set, the mind explodes

Thank you all for the info and am currently at 21.4 million total and counting
  16. Hi Guys,

thank you for the very useful responses

So now only 40 hours for the 3rd damage and then another 68 hours for the 4th and then only another 135 hours for the last (Immortal!) lol

Thank goodness the Dev's do not believe in excessive struggles for badges anymore

    Cheers
  17. Hi,

just by way of a reminder that Dual Pistols (DP) is on Live and usable now, but Demon Summoning (DS) is still under testing in Closed Beta and will then (probably) go into Open Beta on the Test server before it goes Live.

Could be a couple of weeks (?? pure guess!) before we can use it in game on Live

Still is worth the wait so the rumour mills are saying

    Cheers
  18. Hi Guys,

am working on what are virtually my last obtainable blue side badges (vet badges excluded) and just want to clarify the task so I can get on with it.

Do the badge series as in thread title accumulate, or are they additional eg Damage badge Nigh Indestructable is awarded at 25 million points of damage and Invulnerable at 50 million. Do I need to earn an extra 25 million or 50 million to get from Nigh Indestructable to Invulnerable?

Same for Invulnerable to Immortal and the last two Pillbox badges?

I hope they are cumulative but if not and I am aware, then I can suck it up and keep going

    Thanks
  19. Hi Guys,

am working on these two PvP badges:

    1. Just in time - take control of 50 pillboxes
    2. Back from the future (?) - take control of 100 pillboxes

Any steers as to the best/clever way to do these please?

If a team takes control do all members get a badge credit or just the star?

As the strength of a pillbox's turrent is much lower when already under control (Purple when neutral and yellow when controlled), is it worth while trying to form a blue and a red team at the same time and sort of "swap" pillboxes for faster defeats?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

Oh and yes, I do know just how lucky I am not to have to get a 1000 as you Guys had to do back in the good old days!

    Cheers
  20. Hi Guys,

thank you all very much, exactly what I was looking for

    Cheers
  21. Hi Guys,

is there a "simple" guide to word processing a forum post to include such stuff as Bold, coloured text, underlining, italics et cetera?

Oh and inserting a Linkie as well

    Thanks
  22. Hi Lord,

    welcome to the Forum

I always do these run of TF's solo just because it is a pain getting a team up for such a short task.

However dependant on which type of toon I am on I do occasionally ask for help at one specific point.

In the last mission you have to defeat a meteor and rescue Mender.

The meteor is a pain to defeat especially if on a Defender! My last run was on a lvl 30ish cold/ice def with lots of debuffs but very little damage. Just give a shout for a grown up with a big stick to help for two mins and you should have no problems

    Enjoy.
